Chapter 10 Will help you

Hazel smiled as she couldn't believe it. "Really?" she asked. "Yes. We shall leave in the morning," assured Margaret. "Thank you very much Ms Margaret I really appreciate. I will always be grateful to you," she said and the woman nodded. "It's alright. I help because I know that you have a beautiful soul."

Thus that night, Hazel slept hopeful and eager as she wondered what the job might be. She just prayed that the woman's sister agreed to give her a job.

When morning arrived, Hazel woke up where the rays of the sunlight passed through the cracks of the curtain. She sat on the small matress and stretched her limbs. Remembering their journey to the Peeker's valley, she crawled towards her bag and opened it before searching for a presentable dress among her clothes. In the end, she chose a cream dress and although it might not look nice to those who saw it, it was the best in all her clothes. After, she went to have a bath and on coming back, she prepared breakfast.

When they got done with breakfast, Margaret decided that it was time they left.

Hazel kept her hair tied into a single braid and placed it at the side. She turned to look at the boy and smiled at him then said," Julian, I will take my leave. It was nice meeting you."

"Are you going to come back?" he asked. "I don't know. But even if I don't come back, I want to say that thank you so much," she said and Julian nodded. Getting her bag, she stepped outside where she found Margaret speaking to a coachman as both stood besides a carriage.

Margaret then looked at her and gestured for her to come forward as they had reached to an agreement. The woman was the first to get in before Hazel placed in her bag and climbed inside the carriage. When she got in, she closed the door and looked outside as the carriage started and left, until the little house disappeared from her sight.

"My sister is the strict type but she is not a bad person. I'm sure that she will help you," she said and Hazel nodded her head. "Thank you Ms Margaret." She then looked outside the window to see that they were going to pass by the Milbrand household and she hid herself such that they don't see her. Seeing this, Margaret asked," Haven't you ever asked your aunt about your father?"

"No. I doubt she knows anything about him and even if she did, I'm sure she wouldn't tell me," she replied and the lady nodded.

When they were done passing by the place, she looked outside again as she saw trees passing one after another. Even though she was supposed to be sad, she was partly excited to go to the Peeker's valley as she had heard that it was the place where the rich people in Hollowvale bought their things. And perhaps, it was not common for her to travel in a carriage. She doesn't remember having any fond memories in Hollowvale, apart from the time when her mother was still alive and when she was living in the Atticus Manor.

The rest of the drive was silent and it nearly took them an hour to reach.

Hazel who was leaning against the seat felt the carriage pull over and she sat up before looking outside. She noticed that it was a very busy town, where people were dealing in several commercial aspects.

She saw Ms Margaret open the carriage door before slowly climbing down. "We are here," she announced to her and Hazel tugged her bag before climbing down the carriage.

She held her bag close to her chest as her eyes moved around the whole place.

Turning to look at Ms Margaret, she saw the woman paying the coachman. Internally, she promised that one day, she will pay the woman when she starts working and gets her own money.

"Let's go," she said as she walked and Hazel followed her. After walking a certain distance, Hazel watched Ms Margaret taking some stairs and she followed him, until they stood in front a big Tailor's shop with a post that read," Hemm's tailors." Inside the shop, there were four women who were working and she caught sight of a number of dresses, wedding gowns and coats that were hanged in the room. "Ms Magaret. It's so nice to see you. Lady Lauren is busy speaking with some customers at the other side. You can come in and have a seat as you wait for her," came a woman who reached for the door and on opening, Ms Margaret stepped in and Hazel followed.

They were both offered seats and the woman excused herself as she had customers to attend to. Hazel realized that it was a busy shop and she wondered if she was going to work here. If that was the case, she would really love to. These women were so skilled and everything that she looked at was simply amazing.

"Margaret," she heard and turned to look at the woman who walked towards them. She was a brunette, just like her and was wearing a beige gown and had glasses resting on the bridge of her nose. "Lauren," called Margaret. She got a seat and brought it where they were before sitting on it.

"How are you?" Magaret asked. "Busy as always. What brings you all the way to Peeker's valley?" she asked pushing the glasses up the bridge of her nose. From what Hazel had noticed so far, the woman looked serious.

"This is Hazel first of all," she introduced. Lauren looked at her and said," Hazel. It is a nice name. I'm Lauren, Magarets younger sister." She smiled and said," Nice to meet you Ms Lauren." "Alright," she replied and turned to look at her sister then asked," Where's Julian?" "He's home. He's grown up and can take care of himself," she answered and Lauren nodded. "It feels like ages since I last saw him," she said adjusting her glasses.
