"Edward, you understand why I'm here?"

While Edward was working on Circe, a portal opened behind him, and Yao, the Sorcerer Supreme, appeared.

Edward did not stop what he was doing though, and nodded, "I do, and I agree with your decision of coming. No matter what evil someone has done, it isn't right to simply erase everything and shape them into what I like."

Yao's hands, which were hidden in his back, relaxed a little as he asked, "Since that's the case, would you care to explain what are you doing? Please give the good answer, I wouldn't want to destroy our friendship."

Edward smiled and said, "Thank you for this Ancient One. I assure you I have not fallen, but please continue keeping a watch over me, and don't hesitate to intervene if I ever find myself crossing the line. Step closer, and you will understand."

Although didn't sound like he wanted to fight, Yao was still on his guard as an invisible shield surrounded him, just in case. Now relatively safe, Yao approached Edward and Circe, and looked at what Edward was doing.

Orange runes were hovering around the soul of Circe, rotating like cogs as they shaped her. Yao lightly tapped onto one of the runes, and closed his eyes as he got a vision.

After a few seconds, he opened his eyes, and finally smiled as he sighed in relief, "You scared me for a second. Let me help you."

Had Edward really been turning Circe into his puppet, he would have fought him, and either imprisoned him if possible, or killed him. After all, Edward had grown strong, and capturing him alive may be impossible, even for him. He was getting old.

Thankfully, Edward was not doing the atrocity he first thought. Although he was wiping everything away, he wasn't turning her into a puppet, he was simply setting everything back to how it was in the beginning, when she was born.

For most people this would still be something terrible to do, but Yao got a glimpse of her life through the rune, and understood that this was the best to do for Circe too. He could understand why Edward wouldn't want to kill her, and imprisoning her would only be leaving a potential danger to himself and his closed ones.

With the help of the Ancient One, Circe's soul was quickly transformed, and before soon returned to it's origin. Both the mark of Hecate and Helios were gone too, meaning she wouldn't suffer from either of their curses.

Her new soul in his left hand, Edward looked at Circe's body and said, "Her body was tainted by the curses, and may harm her in the long run. She needs a new body."

Yao shrugged, "All you need to do is to find a stillborn and put her soul in their body, a female's body if possible."

Edward nodded, and after a while sighed, "Since I can choose her parents, I want them to be good people. She has an extremely good talent for magic, and will definitely show it as she grows up, so I need loving parents. I guess I could also add a few protections…"

Yao patted his shoulder and teased, "I'm sure you will find the right people, you learned some fate magic right?"

Edward nodded, and with a twitch of his finger began scrying fate as he searched for pregnant woman in New York who would get stillborn children, and added some parameters.

In the end, Edward took more time than it should have taken as kept adding parameters, and finally ended with what he believed was the best for Circe.

With a twitch of his hand, Edward opened a portal, and walked through it with Circe in his hand. He appeared above a hospital, and with a couple of spells made himself invisible to the outside world.

He soon arrived in a hospital room where a mother was giving birth, while her husband was by her side. From his scrying of fate, Edward knew the parents were good parents as they already had another child, so they should do the job.

Edward couldn't see the future, but they were among the most probable good parents for Circe. So as he saw the baby laying dead in the doctor's grasp as he announced the news to the devastated couple, and the wife's heart stopped beating from the shock of giving birth and losing her child… he held no hesitation as he put Circe's soul into the body, and healed the duo back to life.

He saw the doctor's eyes widen in shock as both the baby and mother, both of whom had their heart stopped beating, suddenly come back to life. The father too, who felt like his world was crumbling down, felt a burst of energy fill him.

And so Circe the Immortal Witch died, and Helena the… whatever she would become, was born. Having done what he considered to be a good deed, Edward was about to leave the hospital when he realized this may potentially harm Circe… Helena, if she was the only one healed with her mother.

So after a moment, he bathed the entire hospital in Yang Chi, and coupled it with a healing spell. This time, as he felt the drain of such an action wasn't as great as he thought it would be, he quickly extended the spell outwards.

For the first time since his breakthrough, Edward's Core became completely empty as he reached his limits. However, Edward's spell, that only covered a single hospital, extended to the entire city of New York. As he did so, Edward's invisibility spells came off, but he remained in the air as he used his Yin Chi to hover, allowing several people to see him emit the purple haze that covered the entire city.

And so like that, the 15th of June 2011 not only became known as the day Edward revealed his identity to the world, but also as Miracle Day, and boosted Edward's reputation by a great deal as he was filmed.

After finishing his deed, Edward created a portal home, with his current body he didn't even need to consume any Chi to create a portal across the city. Because of the lacking Chi, Edward's regeneration took a little longer, so as soon as he had recovered enough Chi Edward teleported to Muspelheim.

There, his regeneration became much faster, and once he was back to full he returned home, where he began relaxing. It was a stressful day.

Unfortunately, it wasn't over as slightly after 4 pm, Donna returned home, and without even saying hello she yelled, "THAT WAS MENTAL!!"

Edward, who was meditating, groaned back, "Hello to you too."

"What do you mean hello?! You revealed your identity and healed an entire f…" before Donna could finish what she had to say, Edward opened his left eye, and Donna felt herself unable to speak as he looked at her and chastised her, "Language, again."

He closed his eye back, and she regained her ability to talk, and so did her excitement, "Fucking city!"

Edward sighed and nodded, "Yes, I did. Anything else?"

"Anything else? You know people at school know you're my dad right?" In her excitement Donna spoke fast, and only after she spoke did she freeze as she realized what she said.

Edward too opened his eyes wide, staring silently in shock for a few seconds. Eventually, seeing she wasn't speaking, he broke the silence with a cough and said, "I… Yes. Okay. Hmm."

Donna's face reddened as she tried to run away, but Edward's Yin Chi stopped her in place and he levitated her in front of her. Seeing her bashful face, Edward grinned, "I would love to be your dad, just as much as Diana would be your mother."

Donna, who couldn't move, was staring at the ground as she felt like each seconds lasted hours, but after a few seconds she let out a silent nod. Edward smiled and let her go. This time, she didn't run, but walked to her room with haste.

All in all, it was a rather good day for Edward, he said what he had to say to the world, took care of an enemy, and got a new daughter. He was going to need a lot of meditation to calm himself down though…

For the next few days, Edward's and Donna's life became quite hectic. Their new relationship was already weird enough, but the reaction of the people were even worse. At school, Donna would get literally swarmed by the other kids after the information of her being Serenity's daughter spread.

Before, she had always remained relatively on her own and people didn't bother her because she knew how to talk with her fists, but everyone seemed to have forgotten that as they would push each other to talk to her.

And at home it wasn't any better as neither Edward or Donna could leave their home on foot. There was always someone waiting, either a journalist or a random person wanting to thank Edward for what he did, or simply meet the legend.

His address had leaked on the very first day on the internet, and Edward was pretty sure this was a petty move from the people at the UN. Because of this, Donna now had to go to school through a portal, and everytime Edward left the house for hero duties he had to do the same.

Speaking of which, even with his newfound power, Edward did not stop patrolling the streets to stop crime. But he also started understanding why Peter was doing this, and Diana wasn't.

Back when he was weak, he thought it was a divergence of ideology, that they believed justice should be administered in different ways, but now that he had reached Diana's level of power, roughly, and used to be even weaker than Peter, he understood there was more than that.

The truth was, although he started his vigilante activities out of kindness and selflessness, he also enjoyed it on a personal level because of the thrill it gave him. Of course, saving others gave him satisfaction, but fighting for his life… he truly enjoyed it.

However, now that he had reached the level of the gods, that thrill was lost, he could instantly defeat any mortal man within a hundred meters with a mere thought, and they couldn't make him struggle in the slightest.

That's why, Edward now understood that if Diana didn't go out in the streets to fight crime everyday, it was simply because it was utterly boring and somewhat useless.

Of course, saving others gave satisfaction, but to do nothing but this, everyday, and without the thrill of danger, it would bore and depress anyone quickly.

However, Edward still continued because although he had lost that thrill, he gained something else. Nowadays, his days were mostly spent training or meditating, which quickly got repetitive, and so those moments of vigilantism were always a nice break.
