"Thou with divine power hurry up and bless me with your power already so I can cast fireball."
Oh, come on. This is getting ridiculous. Why on earth would saying a few words create a flying flaming ball of fire?!
Just after thinking that I hear a voice right next to me.
"Thou with divine power please bless me with a drop of your power to cast, fireball!"
Slowly as she spoke a spark in her hand became a small ball then grew and grew until she was finished when the flaming ball shot from her hand and hit a stone wall.
Oh right cause saying some dumb words does somehow manage to break all the laws of physics. Cool gotta remember that one.
We've been out here all damn day! It's almost dinner time and I didn't get lunch.
I sit down on the grass "Could we do something else, im hungry and this isn't getting us anywhere"
I look behind us to Marissa where she's stuck in her textbook and writing notes. Sara kneels next to me and pulls out her stupid little bible thing, not again.
"You see ren, you messed up this part here, I told you it's please, these gods deserve respect. Now let's try that again."
Sara stands and readies herself.
"There's no point, Sara, let's take a pause" Marissa speaks up behind us.
"What do you mean 'no point'? I've been trying my hardest!" I follow the others and move to stand up.
Marissa sighs. "Ren, it's obvious, you have great magical abilities but you don't seem the bit interested in enhancing those abilities," Sara nods along. "So instead we could be working on your physical attributes."
To paraphrase, Marissa said im lazy. Me, lazy! Just because Sara can say words and break the laws of physics doesn't mean I can. Im from a different world for christ's sake! Don't feel like embarrassing myself, no thanks.
"Let's go get food yeah? There's this new tavern that opened, the bartender is very nice! He's new to town so it's surprising he's made a good name for himself." Sara chats a bit, never took her for person who liked to gossip, reminds me of my friends.
"Sounds nice" Marissa states and starts to walk back towards town. Me and Sara follow with her with Sara chatting along happily. But something has been bothering me the whole walk there, like, an itching in the side of my head.
I have to hold on to marissa's cloak as we get back into town my mind becoming fuzzy.
The town is bustling as usual. Great, i absolutely love crowds, ugh.
Finally, we reach the center of town i can finally put a name to that itching, a headache.
We keep walking and end up on the same street as the tavern. My headache forms from a nuisance to painful.
Like someone is banging my over the head with a hammer, making me stumble and clutch my head.
"Guys, I think im gonna head home," I mumble out before turning and walking toward the house.
I think im gonna take a shower when I get back. Or, a bucket and a rag, god I just wish I had some soap! It sounds ridiculous but I feel disgusting all the time.
"Ren….r….wait..!" Marissa's voice gets quieter and the noise of the town covers her shouting.
God i cant do this right now, ill just explain to her what happened later, she wont mind, right?
I walk faster take a turn here then a left there. One more right and im here.
I enter the house and find my headaches gone and the comforting thought of getting clean.
I head to the closet with the bath supplies, a rag, and a bucket. I mean it's crazy but it's doable. I put my hand on the door and know that there's not gonna be soap but I feel awful.
When the door opens on the shelf I find the bucket, my rag, and a bar of soap?
I impatiently pick it up and smell it, it's definitely soap.
I take the bucket and my rag and head down to the stream. My own bar of soap, I have no clue how it got here but im not gonna question it, I don't even care if it's a dream.
