Mutates(Special)

Lara was shocked when received the result. She has already seen the signs of [Ice Mainpulation], but [Camouflage] came out of nowhere.

With a timid voice, she asked Caelus, "I don't think I have [Camouflage]."

"You do," firmly replied Caelus.

"How? Is it dormant?" wondered Lara.

"Miss Lara, your [Camouflage] is active but you have not manifested it for the first time yet. I suggest you exercise patience."

Lara sighed as she listened to Caelus. She moved back to the group and allowed the next person to step forward.

William placed his foot in front of the big screen with a confident expression. The way he kept smiling made it obvious that he was looking forward to his mutate.

As expected, the green ray of light rushed over him and when it was done, the cold feminine voice of Caelus announced….

"Mr. William

Mutate: [Wind Manipulation], [Earth Manipulation],

[Regenerative Healing]

Mutate Level: Epsilon."

"Kekeke, It seems I'm awesome," posed William.

Despite his mature age, he celebrated vibrantly like a young child. It couldn't be helped. Apart from Mark, he was the only one with three mutate. Whilst, Mark had two, although, he had an ability from his bloodline.

This display of activities dispelled the gloomy atmosphere that surrounded the group. Suddenly, they forgot about Alexia and simply waited to see their mutates like a teenager waiting for a test result.

Theo smiled as he observed this. He noticed that no one was willing to step forward after William. Along with the excitement in them was a fear of having a bad-looking mutate.

Not being able to keep it to himself, he laughed, "Hahaha, what are you all doing? Don't tell me you are actually scared?"

His taunt riled up the rest as they glanced at each other. Each of them was waiting for the other to move.

Azrael was the first to break this impasse. She allowed herself to be bathed by the green ray of light and, not long after, her results were announced.

"Miss Azrael.

Bloodline: Unknown(....)

Bloodline Ability: Blue Wings

Mutate: [Void Domain], [Null Physique]

Mutate Level: Alpha"

Before the group could comprehend what they heard, Caelus asked, "Miss Azrael, your bloodline is not in the database. Do you want to record it?"

Azrael wrinkled her nose, "Will it be accessible to others?"

"If you wish it to be private, I can do that."

"How private? Will Haven be able to access it?"

"No, if that is your wish. The information will be stored in my memory, and not be sent to the database. Is that alright?"

"Yes," she took a pause and smiled, "Name it Violet…..Violet Morpho."

"Affirmative. Your profile has been updated."

"Miss Azrael.

Bloodline: Violet Morpho

Bloodline Ability: Blue Wings

Mutate: [Void Domain], [Null Physique]

Mutate Level: Alpha"

Finally, the others were free to process what had just happened. Just like William and Mark, she had three abilities, two being a mutate and the last one being a bloodline ability. However, no matter how one looked at it, her mutate level seemed to....abnormal!

Was that even allowed?

Seeing the fact that Caelus announced it confidently, it was probably true!

While the other looked at Azrael with gaping mouths, William lightly hit her shoulder with his big right hand, "Hahaha, truly my daughter."

As he went on boasting, a shade of red creased over Azrael's face. Her cool demeanor was already shattered by her father!

Feeling pumped up, Macie went forward next.

In no more than a minute, her results were announced.

"Name: Macie

Bloodline: Caladrius

Bloodline Ability: [Healing Dove]

Mutate: [Water Manipulation]

Mutate Level: Delta"

Macie concentrated on the name for her bloodline, "Caladrius, hmmmm…."

The myth of caladrius was popular in her family. It was used as a bedtime story for whenever she and her siblings wanted to sleep.

A tear slipped down her cheeks when she remembered her family. They didn't live in Little Grove. Hence, it was impossible to even know if they were dead or alive.

However, she knew there was a huge possibility they were dead.

As she walked back to the group with a downcast expression, Cain passed her and moved forward.

Immediately, he felt his body infiltrated by light particles. He was uncomfortable and wanted to fight back but he calmed himself as he remembered it wasn't a threat.

After a while, Caelus' voice reached out to him.

"Name. Cain

Mutate Name: [Mind Palace]

Mutate: [Zenith King], [Sixth Sense]

Mutate Level: Delta"

Cain raised his brows when heard his profile.

He couldn't help but ask, "[Mutate Name], what is that?"

"[Mutate Name] is given when an individual's repertoire of mutates bears the same attribute. It is exceedingly rare but is not considered a factor of strength."

Hearing this, Reve was even more "What do you mean?"

"There are different types of mutates. However, one major similarity between each mutated individual is that they possess at least one element-attribute mutate. After that, they might possess other mutates or simply go on to possess only one mutate."

The supercomputer broke it down for them, "However, there are some people who do not bear a single element-attribute mutate. Instead, their mutate all cluster around a single theme. When their body is scanned, most of the omega energy found in them would be in one single region, while the rest nurtures the body, making it far stronger than others."

She displayed two pictures that looked like an internal scan of two people. One of them showed a green form of energy that appeared around his heart region and hands, while the other had most of the energy around his two eyes.

Using this comparison, Caelus explained, "My scannings are done by detecting the location of the majority of the omega energy and interpreting what they mean. The picture of the man with omega energy around his eyes means that he can only manifest ocular abilities. Nonetheless, there are also some special situations among this special group of evolved humans."

While the explanation, Cain and the others understood a bit.

Cain walked back to the group and contemplated on his ability. The name, [Mind Palace], resonated with him. He remembered seeing a hall like that before he woke up.

'So, that is what it is,' sighed Cain.

Meanwhile, with confirmation from the others, Macie untied Alexia and let her receive her one scanning.
