I smiled sheepishly as Lucy hugged me and sobbed. I hesitantly put my arms around her and hugged her back.
In my previous life, I had no friends. My parents were never around to teach me what love was. It was just me and my nanny then. Was...
"Shh. It's okay, Lu. I'm here now," I said, trying to soothe her.
"So, what happened to you?" Natsu asked.
"It's a pretty long story-"
"That we have time for," Lucy said, interrupting me.
I looked at her in surprise. Even in a code red, we had time for a story. Sheesh.
"Fine. But I'll have to tell you while we get to Gramps," I said, motioning for them to follow me.
We ran through a bunch of trees. It was really easy to get lost here, but I was here for months. I know my way around Tenroujima like the back of my hand. Eventually, we made it to Gramps and I told them what happened on the way. After I dropped them off there, I ran to the big tree.
That's right, I was going to find Erza.
I would've teleported to the tree if I could, but magic issues. They had taken down the tree earlier. Why else would I run? I'm lazy, people. Get over it.
By the time I had gotten there, Erza had gotten the strength to do a final attack on the guy.
"I didn't expect anything less from Titania."
She whirled around and pointed her sword at my neck. What a nice welcome...
"Who are you?" she asked, her sword slightly trembling.
I smiled. For someone I had only talked to once before leaving, she really cared about me.
"Don't you remember me, Erza?" I said, holding my hands up to show I was unarmed.
Her sword didn't go down, but it went further away from my neck.
"Y-Yume? You're dead, aren't you?" Erza stammered. "No, you're an imposter. There's no way."
"I've already talked to Natsu and Lucy if that helps," I shrugged.
Her sword went down completely before she gave me a hug.
...Her chestplates hurt.
"Yume, it is you!" she exclaimed.
"I told you so. But, can you let go? I can't breathe," I wheezed.
"Oh sorry."
"Anyways, I need to go and find Gray now. Then I'll round up all the injured people around the island," I said, turning to run.
"Wait. I'll help," she said.
My eyes widened in surprise.
"I'll help."
Not once has someone ever said that to me before this day. I guess having people care about you isn't that bad. I gave her my brightest smile.
"Also, could you look for Wendy? She's a little girl with blue hair." Erza asked before jumping off the edge.
I facepalmed. How could I forget Wendy? I'm such an idiot. I nodded and followed Erza down before running into the forest once more.
Meanwhile, there were several battles going on around the island and well, let's just say Fairy Tail was NOT winning.
Cana was doing her best with Fairy Glitter, Gray was following Ultear, Juvia and Meredy were fighting. I don't even know what's going on with Raijinshu, but it was not any better than the others.
Where were Laxus and Gildarts? Those old bastards. Whoops! Pardon my language.
I ran into something and fell down.
...I hit a tree branch. Serves me right for running without looking in front of me. But on the other hand, I found a tired Juvia and Meredy. I supported each one and teleported us straight to Gramps, who was still recovering from his battle. I was about to leave when Natsu collapsed.
I held my shirt as a pain arose in my chest. Was it because I now knew that Natsu and I were related? The god slayer was lying down on the ground and laughed.
"Stupid dragon slayer. You should've known better," he cackled.
I don't know what happened next. Everything was a blur to me. According to Gramps, I had teleported right next to him and beat him up even more. I was even shouting things like, "Don't you dare talk trash about my brother" and "If he's stupid, who're you?"
My temper was never bad, but I couldn't help it. It was like... I was out of control. My anger had gotten the better of me. I took a couple of moments to calm down before I went to go find Gray.
I had definitely gotten more protective of Natsu ever since I got more of my memories back, but something was off. There was a time skip between some of them. Just what happened to me?
While I was lost in my train of thought, an icicle came flying at my face. I snapped out of it just in time to stop the icicle. Icicle? But there's usually never snow on Tenroujima... unless?
I ran in the direction the icicle came from and there they were. Ultear and Gray fighting each other with my elder brother on the floor. I quietly crept up to Zeref and tugged gently on his sleeve.
"I know you're awake, Onii~sama," I whispered in his ear.
He turned his head to look at me, his jet black hair covering his eyes.
"D-did you ever forgive me when I left you behind back then?" he whispered back, a tear rolling down his face.
From that moment on, he didn't look like Zeref to me. He looked like someone that was about to break down. I hugged him tightly, afraid to let him see my own tears.
"Yes. You may have left me behind but you were also the first to come and find me. So thank you. Thank you, Onii~sama," I sobbed quietly.
A hand tapped my shoulder.
"Why are you crying on a sleeping person?"
That voice...
"Gray?" I said, turning around. My eyes were puffy and red. "I bet I look really ugly right now, don't I?"
"Nah, you look fine," he said, hugging me.
I was shocked yet happy. I was glad to be back with them all. But there was something that I forgot... I pushed out of his embrace.
"I hope you know that you still owe me some smoothies," I said, wiping my tears.
"W-what? We're in a Code Red and all you say to me is 'you owe me smoothies'?!" Gray cried.
I giggled. "Now you look like a guilty kid."
"Yeah, yeah. Wait. What happened to the guy behind you?" he said.
"What?" I whirled around only to see a patch of grass.
He left me. He left me again. I stared at the spot he was sitting in a moment ago. Oh well, I know that he needs to go into hiding. I'll find him later.
"Let's go find Wendy, shall we?" I got up onto my feet and stretched. I began running right towards the beach with Gray behind me.
"How do you know-?"
"Erza told me," I said, interrupting his sentence.
"Am I the second person you found?" he asked.
"No, you're last."
"What? Who was the first? It wasn't flame brain was it?" Gray exclaimed, looking at me in disbelief.
I laughed. Those two, still competing even now.
"It was Happy. I was watching ever since you guys entered Tenroujima."
After those words were uttered from my mouth, a blue ball came right at me and hit me down for the third time today. Sheesh. Speak of the devil, he arrives.
"Yume!" Happy exclaimed, hugging me.
"What's up, Happy?" I said, smiling at him.
A small hand came into my view. I looked up in surprise. It was a tiny figure with long blue hair. Wendy Marvel. I took her hand and got up.
"Nice to meet you, Wendy. I'm Roselia Yuri Dragneel. You can call me Yume."
I held out my hand for her to shake it.
"Wendy, she's talking to you," the white cat scolded Wendy.
"O-oh! I-I'm sorry. It's nice to meet you too," she said, shaking my hand.
I smiled at her before turning to Charle. It was nice to see her still scolding Wendy.
"What do you mean?" Charle asked.
"Huh?" I was surprised. Did I say my thought out loud by accident?
"Yes, you did," Lucy said, looking at me. I smiled at her sheepishly.
"Whoops!"
The whole group got a good laugh out of it before Natsu... ran headfirst into the ship. Typical Natsu.
"N-Natsu!" Lucy exclaimed, running in after him.
"Both of you! Come back!" Erza shouted, waving her fist at them.
I smiled before taking her hand and Wendy's and running straight into the ship.
"What are you waiting for, Icicle boy?" I shouted at Gray with a grin.
He stood there in shock for a while before running after me.
"Icicle boy? Really?"
Oh boy. He was really angry now!
"Do you rather prefer Ice Queen?" I responded.
I ran into the ship to find Lucy and Natsu bickering over something. I sighed.
Just another typical day at Fairy Tail!
