It has been a couple of weeks since I came back.
I have a routine now:
Get up at 5 in the morning to grab all the S-class missions, come back at 7 to help Kianna set up the guild and turn in all the money I had gotten, spend 2 hours finishing up the paperwork, and sit around for the rest of the day.
Eventually, I got bored of just sitting around so I decided to go grocery shopping. I went home first to get changed. Tying up my newly-dyed hair, I stuffed my wallet in my item box, put on my combat boots, and locked the door.
I sighed, looking up at the blue sky. I chuckled sadly.
"Wouldn't you look at that Lulu? I'm going shopping... without you," I said, my smile fading away.
The wind picked up and my silver hair flew around, covering my face. I spat some of it out of my mouth. Even tying it up doesn't help...
I walked over to the guild to check up on it. Twilight Ogre does come by and try to attack our members when I'm not around, so I'm especially worried today. With my hands in my pockets, I kicked open the door.
"We'll be fine!" the whole guild shouted at me.
I grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head with my hand.
"Okay, okay. I just want a precaution. I'll leave someone here real quick," I said, holding my hands up in surrender.
"We don't need anyone, just go," Romeo said, trying to push me out the doors.
"It'll be quick. Trust me. Open, Gate of the Lion, Leo!"
I snapped my fingers and Loke appeared.
"Lucy! Where have you been?" he hugged me.
I coughed and patted his back.
"Sorry, Loke. I'm not Lulu," I said awkwardly.
"Yu-" Romeo literally slapped a hand over Loke's mouth and shook his head.
"Rose, you can count on me," he said, pulling me in for a kiss.
I pushed away from him and smiled at him in the nicest way possible. No kisses. I haven't even had a kiss with anyone in my second... first... life before. No way was a flirty Lion going to take it.
"Well, I'll be going. Take care of them, Loke!" I turned on my heel and ran out, heading straight to the marketplace.
During these past couple of weeks, I've been getting to know all the people in the marketplace and even helped them out on a couple of quests others wouldn't. Let's just say... FairyTail got one of the biggest discounts in all of Magnolia History.
"Rose!"
"Rosalia-san!"
"Rose-chan!"
I waved at all of them and went to look for some vegetables. I didn't need fruits at home; I love fruits... and I may have overbought some last time I was here. Don't look at me with that weird look, they said if I bought this certain amount, they'll give half of them to me for free! It was a good offer, okay?
As I was walking down the pottery stands, something shiny caught my eye. I walked over to the booth and saw the cutest earrings ever! They were in a cross shape, like a t shape. It was white-colored and so breathtaking.
And they could become limiters! Then I remembered something Ruby told me when she gave them to me back on Tenrou, before... this whole mess started.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I understand that you might want to change your earrings every once in a while so I got this spell for you," she held out a piece of parchment out to me.
I took it gratefully and looked at it. "What is this for?"
"If you find earrings you really like, all you have to do is chant this spell and your earrings will look like it. You will have to sacrifice the original copy of the earring you wanted though. You can switch between any of the designs anytime."
I nodded. This would make my wardrobe change much easier. I wonder if it would work on everything else.
"And before you ask, this spell only works on the limiters you have."
Aw, man!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I giggled to myself. I point to the earrings.
"How much for these earrings, sir?" I asked, grabbing my wallet out of my item box.
"5600 jewels. It was made with pure diamonds and it can up your magic in battle. But I'll sell it to you for a 20% discount," he said.
My eyes lit up at the cheap price. I honestly expected it to be about 10,000 jewels, but this is even better!
"I'll take it!"
"I'll take it!"
My eyes widened and I turned to look at the person next to me. He was... undescribable. He looked like someone from an anime I know back from Earth. What was it called?... Oh! It was Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?
He looked just like Izayoi-kun! He didn't have the blonde hair, but he had the headphones, the hairdo, and the same cocky smile on his face.
"Like what you see?" he whispered in a low husky tone.
I jumped back, my face flushed. Who did he think he was? Whispering in my ear with such a sexy voice... Wait, sexy? I think I'm going crazy.
"I'm sorry kind sir. But the lady was here first," the man in the booth apologized.
The purple-head frowned and pulled out some money. I quickly yanked out 8000 jewels and gave them to the man. His eyes widened.
"Y-you didn't have to give this much!" he said in disbelief.
I shook my head.
"You deserved it. Use it for your wife's injuries. It should be enough," I said, taking the earrings.
"Why couldn't you let me have it?" the purple-head whined. Kawaii...
"I got here first. But," I said, watching him perk up.
Just like Natsu would... I smiled sadly to myself.
"I'll let you have one of the earrings."
"Just one?" he pouted.
"Take my offer or leave it," I smirked, knowing I had the upper hand in this deal.
He sighed and took one of the earrings. He put it on his right ear. I put my hand up to feel for my earring, but soon realized, in my hurry to get out of the house, I had only put on my left one. Luckily, I only needed one of the earrings for the limiter to work.
"Kool s'gnirrea eht hctiws," I muttered, the earring disappearing from my hand.
"Whoa! Cool!" the boy exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes and changed my sapphire earring to the one I had just bought.
"Anyways, sir. I believe you owe me some jewels," I said, holding out my hand.
He sighed. "Really?"
"Yes. So you are going to treat me to lunch."
"B-but," he was interrupted by his own stomach grumbling.
I giggled. "See? Your stomach agrees. Let's go!"
I grabbed his hand and dragged him over to the food court.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now here we were, waiting in line for food. Rethinking my action from earlier, my face flushed. I had grabbed his hand without thinking. I never even held a boy's hand before and I thought he was cute? Not only that, but I also felt this urge to tie his front bangs back. Is that normal?
Someone help me!!!
"Hey. What do you want?"
I snapped out of my thoughts to realize we were near the front of the line.
"T-the noodles will be fine," I muttered.
Then I remembered. Only dragon slayers could hear me. I'm stupid. I was about to repeat it a bit louder when he nodded.
"Okay."
My eyes widened. Was he... a dragon slayer? When we went up to order, the lady at the cashier had recognized me.
"Oh! Rosalia-san. How nice to see you!" she said, smiling.
"Hello, Ross-san. I'm just here to order some food for lunch," I said, smiling back.
"With your boyfriend I see," she winked at me.
I swear, my face was as red as a tomato then.
"H-he's not my boyfriend!"
"S-she's not my girlfriend!"
He looked at me and made eye contact. My eyes widened and I looked away in embarrassment. Ross chuckled.
"I see how it is. Good luck winning her heart," Ross whispered the last part to the boy.
"Ross-san! I don't even know him."
"Sirius. I'm Sirius, my lady Rosalia," he whispered in the same sexy tone.
Sirius... I looked away, my face burning up in shame under all the peering eyes.
He laughed and ordered our food. Ross gave us a discount. We did try to refuse her, but she won. When our food was ready, Ross handed it over to us, winking at me. Oh no...
I grabbed Sirius's hand and ran out of the food court as fast as I could. He used one hand to grab the food. I pulled us into the forest behind the food court in time to hear Ross shout something.
"GUYS! OUR DEAR ROSALIA GOT HERSELF A BOYFRIEND!"
The whole court lit up with cheers and soon, everything was on a discount. Just because they thought Sirius and I were together...
We ate our lunch in silence for the first couple of minutes, but soon enough, we were in a conversation.
Sirius was seriously funny. Not to mention all the mistakes he made. I mean, I don't make mistakes, except for that one mission.
I started telling him about this one mission where a partner of mine *cough cough Sunny* was super hyped up. And she saw a volcano and thought... it was a good idea to jump inside. I did leave out the part where we had to fill the whole pool at FairyTail with ice and water continuously because she put herself on fire...
Since then, any mission that involved a volcano, Sunny was forbidden to go on.
He was really cute and he made my heart flutter just by smiling at me.
Something's really wrong with me.
Soon, evening came by and we went our respective ways. I facepalmed as I remembered about the groceries. Oh, well. I'll just eat at FairyTail tonight.
I kicked open the doors and sat down at the bar, heaving a giant sigh. Kianna looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm guessing you didn't buy groceries," she said, wiping the counter.
I sighed. "It's a really long story."
Laki sat down at the barstool next to me. "We have a lot of time so spill."
I went on to tell them about the earring I got, how I bumped into Sirius, the lunch he bought. I left out the part where Ross was shouting out how we were a couple to the entire food court though. That was embarrassing.
Kianna and Laki both squealed, earning weird looks from everyone in the guild. My face flushed in embarrassment as I both shushed them.
"What does it mean?" I asked.
"Well... it means..."
"You like him."
