"Who... she?"
"Found... outside!"
My head was pulsing. I opened my eyes and sat up suddenly in bed, hitting someone else's in the process.
"Itai!" we both exclaimed.
My pink hair was no longer in a ponytail and was now flowing in front of- Wait. Pink hair?
I grabbed my hair and my eyes widened. I grabbed the person I had bumped and shook them.
"What color are my eyes?"
"What?" the boy exclaimed. "Geez, I get bumped in the head and all I get in response is 'what color are my eyes?"
"What color?"
"They're kinda purple-blackish. Now if you're done-"
The hair dye... my contacts... who took them off? And that boy in front of me looked quite familiar...
"Romeo?"
As soon as I uttered that name, FairyTail members began filing into the room, all with hostile intentions.
"Who are you?"
"What do you want?"
"How do you know my name?"
I smiled sadly. Did they really forget me that easily?
"Wait... Yume?" Romeo exclaimed.
I grinned sheepishly at them and waved.
"Um, hi?"
What followed next for a couple of minutes was hugging and crying. Then came the most difficult part. A question I never thought would be asked.
"Where's your guild mark?" a guild member asked.
"It's right here-" I lifted up my sleeve to show my left shoulder, but that golden mark wasn't there anymore.
"M-my guild mark... it's gone. Someone must've removed it," I whispered to myself.
Luckily, no one in here was a dragon slayer which meant, no one heard me.
"I-I think I might need a new guild mark."
"Of course. As soon as Gramps and the others-" Macao said.
I interrupted him. "They're not coming back."
The whole room was in silence. No one spoke, no one moved. Everyone was terrified at hearing the news they never wanted to hear.
"W-what do you mean, Yume-chan? N-Natsu-nii and the others will be back, right?" Romeo said, tugging on my sleeve. Tears were falling rapidly from every member.
"Please tell me you're lying!" he cried.
I held back my tears and shook my head. "I'm sorry."
"How do you know they're not coming back? She might be just lying, everyone!" someone from the back shouted.
"I know because I was there."
Everyone's eyes widened and looked at me.
"I was training on Tenrou the whole time. I was there when the S-class trials started. I was there when the Seven Sins of Purgatory struck. Everyone was almost out of magic after we fought them. Then, he struck."
"Who's he?"
"Acnologia."
The guild doors burst open and the people froze at the name.
"Acnologia, huh? I wonder how you knew that," a voice said.
I looked over at them and my eyes widened.
"Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale..."
As Macao and Wakaba filled in the current info to the other guilds, I continued talking.
"Acnologia came to the island to kill all the dragon slayers. Gramps was facing off against him by himself. H-He almost died. I don't know what happened next, but he started flying towards me and tried grabbing me," I sniffled, remembering the scene when I fell out of his hands into the open sea. I shuddered.
"I ran around the island, trying to draw Acnologia as far away from our FairyTail members as possible. Well, me just running around and him flying, I think we know who won. He grabbed me and flew back towards the rest of them. T-Then he..." I started breaking down.
It wasn't that bad in the anime, but when you really become close friends with them, they mean a lot to you. And losing them... was not an option.
"He what?" Romeo said, shaking.
"He blasted the island and Tenrou was gone," I whispered.
At this point, everyone from every guild was listening to me. They were hugging other members from FairyTail and trying to comfort them.
"G-gone?"
"They're safe though," I added. I mentally cringed. I shouldn't have done that, but I didn't want to see them so depressed.
"I saw that someone used Fairy Sphere to protect them. They should be fine, even though they'll be gone for a while..."
"Gone for a while?! How long?!" the guilds shouted.
I winced. Only Romeo and Kianna noticed my pain.
"Guys! Not so loud!" they shouted.
"Gone for a while? How long?" they whispered.
I facepalmed. That's not what they meant.
"7 years."
"B-but..."
"Can we move this outside, please? It's kind of getting cramped in here," I said awkwardly.
With a bunch of nods and unconvinced faces, everyone shuffled out of the infirmary, giving me a few minutes to breathe.
"Ai, Sun."
Two girls jumped in through the window and landed on their knees.
"Sunny, reporting for duty," the orange-haired girl said, raising her lowered head. Her orange eyes sparkled with determination, her gloved hands, clenched. Her black suit contrasted the bright smile on her face.
"Ai, reporting for duty. Winters will be arriving soon. There was a small rat on the way here," the black-haired girl reported, her chocolate-eyes staring at the ground. She unzipped the pocket on her suit and handed the package to me.
"Thank you, Ai," I responded, taking the small package, throwing it into my item storage.
Item Storage, one of the few items Ruby gave me during the time of my training. Quite useful.
"Sun, use your illusion magic to disguise yourself as me. Use high-level magic if you must. There is a Saint-level Wizard out there. Ai, come with me and we'll sort out the paperwork for now," I said quietly, teleporting to the office.
Ai stood by my side silently, holding a crystal ball, reporting everything from Sunny's end.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I see. You guys might want to get a new guild master as soon as possible," Jura said, with a grim look on his face.
"But we can just not tell the Council-"
"They already know," Sunny said, once again, getting everyone's attention. "Doranbolt is a magic council member."
"Damnit!" Wakaba cursed.
Sunny was trying to resist the urge to put a smile on her face and jump up and down cheerfully. It was so hard being serious... Then, she remembered something.
"Hey, guys. I know this isn't the time, but can I have my guild mark and be put up in S-class?"
Everyone turned towards her in disbelief. Sunny only shrugged.
"First off, my guild mark got erased by someone so I need it back. Second, if I'm S-class, then I can take all the quests above and earn money to pay off the guild's debts," Sunny slowly explained.
Sunny sighed. Talking to them was like teaching babies how to talk. So time-consuming, but worth it.
"What about their houses?" Kianna asked, drawing attention to her.
Ai looked at me and I nodded. She put down the crystal ball and silently left the office, leaving me in there to watch the drama amongst the pile of paperwork.
"Already done. I've paid all their apartment managers 7 years' worth of money," Ai said, walking down the stairs. Her presence sparked up quite a few... hostile intentions.
Sunny hugged her, grinned at her, and put an arm around her.
"Can I take it off?" Sunny whispered.
"No," Ai replied, looking back up at the office. I sighed, sending the last of the paperwork up to the Council. Sunny... always a cheerful girl.
"Okay... Sike!" Sunny giggled, dispelling the illusion magic.
"Sunny!" Ai groaned.
"Ai!" Sunny mimicked, drawing laughter from the crowd below.
"Who are you guys? Where's Yume?" Lyon asked.
"I'm Sunny!" she exclaimed while rolling cartwheels around an annoyed Ai.
"I'm Airi. Mast- Yume's in the office right now trying to finish all the paperwork so the new guild master doesn't have to do any," Airi calmly explained, coughing to cover up her mistake.
"I'm thinking she should be the new guild mas-"
"Absolutely not!" I shouted from inside the room. I threw open the door and walked down the stairs, ignoring the stares from everyone.
"Besides, Macao's the new guild master. I already wrote it on paper and sent it over to the Magic Council," I shrugged, walking down the stairs and taking a seat at the bar.
Kianna walked behind the counter and grabbed a cup.
"Mango smoothie?" she asked, starting to prepare one.
My eyes widened in surprise. She actually remembered? I chuckled. FairyTail was definitely the best home ever.
"Sure! With one guild mark, please!" I chirped.
Kianna's eyes widened slightly but yanked out the stamp.
"Gold with a red and black outline on my left hand please."
She only nodded before she stamped my hand. I looked at it in awe.
Gold for me, red for Natsu, black for Zeref. Now, I'll always remember them through these seven years.
Macao suddenly ran up to me with puppy eyes. Should a grown man be doing that? Is that safe? Does my insurance cover this?
"Could you please take care of all the paperwork from now on?" he begged.
I looked over at Romeo, who was chatting away as if it wasn't his dad who was begging right now. I sighed and nodded.
"Yes!" he cheered.
Everyone laughed, but the guild seemed more empty than usual. Kianna slammed something down that got everyone's attention.
"I'm thinking that everyone put some money into this jar after their quests so we can pay off the guild debt," she suggested.
"That's genius!" and "Good idea, Kianna!" were shouted by multiple people. Kianna just stood there blushing.
"Well, then. I'm off to take some S-class quests," I said, putting down my now empty cup.
"S-class?! When did you-" Eve said.
"When I was filing the paperwork," I said, shrugging.
"Man! I smell some perfume!" someone yelled from the Blue Pegasus Guild.
I shuddered. Now I know why Erza hates him...
I turned around and faced them with a serious look on my face.
"Look. No one in here is to speak of Yume Dragneel. She never came back," I said.
"Why?" Sherria asked.
"Because my magic power is equal to one of a magic weapon."
Everyone gasped. They were all thinking the same thing: "If this got out, she would be taken away for good because of her magic."
They all nodded.
"Then what do we call you?" Romeo asked.
Everyone looked at me. I frowned. I hadn't thought that far...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are my favorite flowers, black roses. Aren't they beautiful, imouto?
Rose! Look! White roses! Don't they look good on me?
Oh, Mavis. You still look ugly.
That's mean, Zera!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Rosalia. Rosalia Yuri White."
"That's a nice name," Kianna said, smiling at me.
Tears were at the edge of my eyes. See, Mavis? Zeref? I can't forget about you guys...
I ran into Makarov's office and shut the door. Ai and Sunny left to grab S-Class missions, let Kianna know, then ran out. I guess they hate Ichiya as much as I do.
I leaned back in the chair and looked at my hand.
Onii-chan, Natsu, Lu-chan, Levy, Erza, Wendy, miina, hurry up and come back.
I closed my eyes as I ran through all my memories. This was going to be the longest and hardest seven years of my life.
Or so I thought until I met him. He made my world shine again. And I gained a new emotion.
Love.
