Throwing Tantrum

Celesta's face changed slightly. She eyed Ann in front of her as she struggled to keep a smile on her face. It was hard for her to say whether she liked the appearance of this new sister of hers or not.

Though, her expression clearly said that she didn't like.

While Celesta was still struggling, Charles was blunter. His eyes looked at Ann sharply as he shook his head. "I don't want a new sister."

"Charles." John Davis looked at his son with a frown.

Charles pursed his lips, his cheeks bulged as if there was a ball inside. There was a low growl coming out of his throat as he repeated his words, "I said I don't want a new sister, Father."

"This is not your decision, Charles." John Davis looked at his son with frown. It was clear that he disliked his son's disobedience.

However, as the only son, Charles grew up being pampered by his family with his wishes almost always being granted by them. He definitely would not allow himself be mistreated by other people.

Charles threw his head to the side and yelled, "I don't want a new sister!"

"Charles!" Mrs. Davis felt another headache. She ran after her son, ignoring the other people who were still staying in the living room.

The atmosphere turned awkward with Charles outburst. Celeste lowered her eyes and said apologetically, "Sorry for my brother's attitude."

Ann looked at Celeste and nodded. "I don't mind."

She never had any intention of entering Davis Family for real. The only reason she was here was because John Davis and Mrs. Davis asked the orphanage to send her here. Though, Ann had to say that the Davis Family was worthy of their name as one of the few most powerful family in Compel City.

The decoration in the main hall was filled with the word extravagance. It was to the point that one definitely could say that most of the items here worth more than six figures. Even the chairs were pretty good.

Compel City was not the most advance city in the country.

But it was certainly not the worst either.

"You… take rest first." John Davis had no intention to care about this. He still had to go to work again tomorrow. If not because the orphanage required the parents to come personally if they wanted to adopt someone, he would definitely not come there. "If you're hungry, you can ask the kitchen staff to cook some food. Your room has been prepared too."

"Alright, Mr. Davis."

John Davis didn't stay there any longer and rushed to his work room. His assistant had called him repeatedly when he was in the orphanage, but he muted his phone. Now that he finally had some time, it was time for him to take care of the pressing matter once more.

Inside the large main hall, only two girls were left.

Celeste put on a bright smile as she turned her body sideways. "Sister, do you want to eat first?"

Sister?

Hearing the way Celeste called her, Ann arched her eyebrows. She nodded. "Sure. Have you eaten dinner?"

"Yes, Mom and Dad asked us to eat without waiting for them to go back. However, both Mom and Dad hadn't eaten, so there are still a lot of food left." Celeste moved her body elegantly to show the dining room.

The mansion itself was big, so it was only natural that one wouldn't be familiar with everyone within such a short period of time. The way Celeste acted was as if she would be the one to take her to the dining room.

Ann said nothing and followed Celeste. Her eyes were scanning the room as she familiarized herself with the location of the things. Even if she didn't like it, she would be staying here for some time.

Hmm, probably not for a long time.

"We're here."

Ann looked at the large amount of food on the table and her eyebrows arched. Could these people finish all of them?

"You can eat first if you want." Celeste smiled.

"Sure."

Hearing how Ann readily agreed, Celeste lowered her eyes. To think that this ignorant brat really followed her words like that. It seemed that her mother didn't even think that someone like her would only look bad in the eyes of so many noble families.

She didn't really care about Davis Family reputation, but she knew that her mothed would be enraged.

'How stupid.'

While Celeste lamented, Ann took some of the fruits on the table. The dishes did look appetizing, but she knew that most of them only looked good without much nutrition. She didn't like such food.

'I'm too lazy to go out now.'

In the end, Ann only ate some fruits. It was dinner too and not everyone would eat a lot of food for their dinner.

Celeste blinked her eyes. "Are you only eating fruits."

"I'm not too hungry." Ann looked at Celeste and showed the food in her hand with casual motion. "Do you want some?"

"No need."

Celeste's face darkened. Who would want to eat the food that had been touched by this woman? She really didn't want to have this woman stayed here even for a second longer.
