"Fine."

Ann didn't look too bothered as she continued to munch on the apple. She beckoned with her finger. "Where's my room?"

"Your room is on the second floor, not far from mine." Celeste took a deep breath to calm her heart. She felt that the longer she stayed here, the more she would feel like clawing this arrogant brat.

'You're the noble young miss of Davis Family. Don't fall for her cheap trick.'

'You're the noble young miss of Davis Family. Don't fall for her cheap trick.'

'You're the noble young miss of Davis Family. Don't fall for her cheap trick.'

Repeating the same sentence in her mind three times, Celeste took a deep breath and guided Ann upstairs. She had heard that important thing had to be repeated three times so that it would never be forgotten.

There were plenty of room on the second floor. Celeste pointed to one of them that the maidservants had cleaned not long ago. "This is your room from now. You can stay here for as long as you liked."

"It didn't look bad." Ann looked around the room and nodded. In any case, she knew that it would be better to stay in this kind of place rather than staying outside. This room was also slightly better than the one she had in the orphanage.

Just slightly, though.

If Celeste knew that Ann was comparing this room with the room in the orphanage, she might have flown into rage. This was clearly 100 times better, but Ann only said that it was a bit better.

"I don't know whether Mom and Dad had arranged for you to go to school, but you should wake up early tomorrow."

"I see."

Celeste looked at Ann once more as she couldn't guess what was in the girl in front of her mind. She felt that there were many things that she missed, but she couldn't pinpoint what was strange.

Anyway, she better found her father to find out the reason why he suddenly took an adopted child.

Klek!

As the door was closed, Ann's lazy look disappeared almost instantly. Replacing it was a cold and indifferent look that seemed to be able to pierce one's bone and soul. Her body moved to the table nearby as she took off her bag and poured the content on the table.

There were only one small laptop, one black brick like item, some candies, a few scrolls, a toy gun, and a box filled with silver bullets. Ann took the small laptop and put it on the table while pulling a chair.

Sitting there, Ann stretched her body slightly.

"Alright, now, it's time to work."

The small laptop rebooted within seconds. Almost instantly, it turned on and Ann began to type rapidly on the surface. If one didn't pay any attention to her, they wouldn't be able to see the words that she was tying as her fingers flew across the keyboard so rapidly that all they could see was afterimages.

It was hard for ordinary people to follow her movement.

Ann's jade like eyes were calm as she continued to stare at the screen. There were several codes that appeared on the screen, but it was bypassed very quickly. Before long, she had reached the login account.

"Let's see, John Davis….here you go."

Putting in John Davis' account, Ann entered a website. The corner of her lips curled up slightly to form a beautiful smile while her jade like eyes shone brightly. Her fingers tapped the keyboard even more rapidly as the screen changed.

There were many other members who were online and Ann silently noted their name. However, it didn't take long before her jade like eyes darkened. In front of her was a text written in bold letter.

NOT ENOUGH QUALIFICATION

"Tsk, I thought that he's someone with his position."

Ann quickly withdraw from the site and erased all the traces she left there. She didn't have any intention of making her first day here to be the very same day where she got found out of sneaking there.

In any case, she was not in a hurry.

She could wait.

Closing her small laptop, Ann then looked at the wardrobe. She didn't bring her own clothes, so she would borrow the pajamas that her new parents prepared for her first. For now, it was time for her to rest~.

Knock! Knock!

"Enter."

Celeste pushed the door open. Her head peeked inside as her eyes turned watery. She called out, "Dad."
