Troubles Brewing

Looking at the way Celeste lowered her eyes and looked so troubled, the students were all glaring at Ann.

"It's just a KTV, why don't you come along?"

"Don't make Princess Celeste sad!"

"Yes!"

"Just who do you think you are to reject her request like this?"

Looking at the students who looked like they were entranced, Ann arched her eyebrows. She looked at Celeste who hid at the back but didn't point it out. Even a child knew that these students were all under a 'spell' named Celeste's charm.

The charm of Celeste was clearly off the roofs to be able to influence so many people all at once.

"I'm busy," Ann said calmly.

"What busy? You're just someone who had been adopted. Where do you think you're even going now?" Donna asked in harsh tone. She stood in front of Celeste like a knight who was protecting the weak princess.

Ann pursed her lips. "Are you telling me that I have to follow whatever Celeste told me to do? I'm not a doll."

"That's Princess Celeste! Don't call her with her name directly."

The other students were thinking about the last sentence that Ann said. It seemed that they were also thinking about whether they were only doing what Celeste wanted or influenced by the situation.

Celeste's eyes turned wider when she saw that. She quickly stepped up. "It's fine, everyone. Let's just go."

Hearing her soft voice, everyone turned around and nodded.

"Since Princess Celeste had said so, then I'll follow you."

"Yes!"

"Let's all go and have fun today."

"After that, Princess Celeste, please help us to do some memorization."

Looking at how the students were following Celeste like puppies, Ann shook her head. She walked out of the class leisurely while thinking about the people in the school. If people were telling her that they were all normal people, she would have never believed them.

Even though her goal when she first came here was only to find some clues, she found out more than what she needed.

A feather appeared between Ann's finger.

She took this from the bag of a student who bypassed her just now. The feather looked fairly new and based on the contour, she could guess that it belonged to a rather young animal.

'To think that there are more here and they're not even bothering to cover up their track.'

Ann clicked her tongue.

She walked out of the building and walked to the side door. As she entered the alleyway, she suddenly stopped and turned around. There were several students from her class who followed her here.

Judging from their expression, they were not up for good.

"What do you want?" Ann asked as she put her hand on her hips. The corner of her lips curled up to form a sneer as if she was mocking them. This place was rather good as the security camera couldn't show this part.

"Don't bother Princess Celeste," the first student at the front said in threatening tone.

"Don't make Princess Celeste sad!"

"Yes!"

"Princess Celeste is so kind and yet you treated her like that!"

Seeing the students were all enraged on behalf of Celeste, Ann felt like she was actually facing with some enraged and unreasonable fans. Just because they liked Celeste, does it mean that she had to like her as well?

How ridiculous.

"It's up to me how I treat her. If you like her, it's not my business and if I don't like her, it's not your business either," Ann said calmly.

"Are you saying that you don't like her?" the first student at the front asked frontally.

Ann arched her eyebrows. "Are you deaf? I think that I said the word 'IF' very clearly."

"No, you definitely said that you didn't like her!"

"Yeah! How can you treat her so badly when she treat you so well!"

"Beat her up!"

Seeing how unreasonable they were, Ann was speechless. If only it was possible, she didn't want to fight these brats, but if they were to force her…
