16. Accepted A Disciple

After the series of scolding and everything, the atmosphere in Davis Family was rather stiff. However, it didn't affect Ann in the slightest bit as she still did her activities as usual. Her schoolmates were all very annoying, though.

They seemed to be bewitched by Celeste as they were willing to do whatever bidding she asked them to do.

"Being pretty is really the best," Ann muttered.

Reynard looked up. "You're prettier than her, Master."

"Stop calling me Master." Ann looked at Reynard, who had somehow changed seat and now sat right beside her. She thought that he would stop his obsession over having her as his master after one day. But from the way it looked like, he didn't seem to be willing to give up even if he was forced to a corner.

She did think that Sall Family was interesting, but at the same time, it was more dangerous compared to Davis Family.

If she had to say, Davis Family might be influential, but their influence was still limited. There were several other families with bigger influence than them including Sall Family who was also Reynard Family.

"Why? I still want to acknowledge you as my master!" Reynard whined.

Ann's lips twitched.

Looking at how Reynard was acting like a lost puppy, she really couldn't imagine him to be the same person who was harshly rebuking Celeste just yesterday. He seemed so pitiful that one would feel like giving in to him if he were to ask them to do something.

It was a bit scary in a way.

"I don't want a disciple. If you want to have better martial arts master, you can ask your father easily."

"I'm convinced when I see you that I want you to be my master! Please agree to your disciple request, Master!"

Ann felt like she really gained a very annoying puppy. She didn't even give the puppy anything to eat and yet he was pestering her so much as if he was afraid that she would disappear if he were to diver his attention even for a second.

It was truly a bother.

"Do you really think that I'm stronger than you?" Ann asked once more.

Reynard nodded his head. "Of course! If you become my Master, I'll bring you to visit my training room. I guarantee that it's countless times better than the one in Davis Family."

"Davis Family has a training room?" Ann was surprised. She didn't travel around the house for the past two days because she knew that they have surveillance. Before she figured out the servants' position, she would not do anything too recklessly.

"Of course! It's impossible for them to not have any training room." Reynard muttered as he looked away.

Ann looked at Reynard, feeling that he might know something. Probably, the reason why he didn't buy that white lotus act from Celeste was because the Sall Family and Davis Family had some relation.

'Is it that thing?'

For some reason, Ann felt like she had a very bold conjecture within her mind that she didn't dare to utter out. She looked at Reynard up and down before looking away. It was impossible to figure it out when they looked so much like human on normal basis.

"So Master, please agree."

"No."

"Then I'll treat you in my family restaurant! I guarantee that the foods are very good."

"Restaurant?"

"Yes!" Reynard's eyes lit up when he saw that Ann finally took interest. It was really not easy to make her interested in what he wanted to say. His mother's words were true that the way to a person's heart was through their stomach. "Do you know Imperial Compel Restaurant? It belongs to my family! A lot of people can't enter it but I can eat there every single day.

If you agree to teach me, I can bring you along to eat there every day!"

Ann smiled brightly. "Sure. Make sure that you work hard, Disciple."

"Yes, Master!"

"But before that, I would need to see how you actually fight."

"Don't worry. You won't be disappointed, Master!"
