Their journey towards the Rift has been going smoothly so far, they already left the city area already behind, and currently, they were driving on a smooth road getting closer towards Rift with each second.
Aeriel was still sitting happily with an eternal smile on her face while hugging Luke's arm.
''I am still very confused, why did you give me my memories, out of all people in the world?'' Luke asked while trying to get his thoughts away from the soft body which was in contact with his body.
Aeriel slightly started fidgeting and said. ''World Tree sent me back in time, it's something about your prophecy - I don't know much about it.''
'I can't tell him the truth that I was about to kill myself so I can be with him in the afterlife and World Tree took pity on me and sent me back in time so I can save you from death!'
''I see...'' Luke nodded while thinking deeply.
He was an ordinary boy from the earth, nothing special.
Except for the fact that he is Delinquent and perhaps the most feared student in recent history.
But he doesn't think he can make any big differences in the New World, that place is ruled by Magic, while Humans will be at the bottom of food chain.
''Now that I think about it... We haven't properly introduced each other have we?'' Luke said.
Aeriel flinched and said. ''Oh right!''
'OH NO! I have called him by his name multiple times, I hope he didn't notice it!!!' Aeriel with a pale face thought.
''Well, my name is Luke Evans, an ordinary boy from Earth.''
Aeriel giggled and said. ''My name is Aeriel Wrath Helm, an ordinary girl from the Elven Kingdom!''
'I will tell him later that I am princess.' Aeriel thought.
''Weird that the World Tree sent an ordinary girl to do this mission.'' Luke thought aloud.
''E-Eh, yes...'' Aeriel used her Camouflage Magic to hide her panicked expression.
''But I am glad it was you,'' Luke said with a smile.
Aeriel felt like an arrow pierced her heart.
With a huge smile, she nodded. ''Nn!''
Luke offered his other hand as a handshake. ''Do you want to be my friend?''
Aeriel was dazed for a moment, but then with a firm expression shook his hand. ''Gladly!''
'But soon lovers~' Aeriel thought with a huge smile.
Luke smiled and looked out of the window.
He saw animals running in the forests towards the Rift while in the sky a lot of birds flew straight towards the Rift.
''Will the animals go safely through the rift?'' He asked from Aeriel.
Aeriel thought for a moment until she nodded. ''They will, I remember that quite a lot of new animals arrived at the New World after the Rift - I guess those animals were from Earth.''
Luke sighed deeply and nodded.
''Don't you have friends, shouldn't you warn them?'' Aeriel then asked curiously.
Luke's face then slightly grimaced, he shook his head. ''No one really.''
Aeriel saw his sad face, her heart clenched in pain, she grabbed his hand and clenched tightly.
Luke felt the warmth on his hand and saw Aeriel's worried face.
His bad memories disappeared in a flash.
His face morphed into a smile and looked at the Rift.
Emma was currently sleeping next to him.
While Sara and Edward kept talking with each other.
No one heard their conversation or noticed Aeriel's and Luke's situation because of her Camouflage Magic.
Their journey went normal for the next 6 hours until finally, an obstacle arrived.
*Screeech*
Suddenly Edward braked heavily, which stopped the car.
''What is it?!'' Luke asked anxiously.
''The road is blocked,'' Edward said and pointed in front of him.
Luke looked and saw that there was a sign saying Road Off-Limits and many broken cars on the way, someone put them there on purpose.
They were already very close to Rift, only 1 hour by car and they would arrive.
''Need to walk there from now on,'' Edward suggested.
Everyone else nodded and went out of the car to take their suitcases.
Aeriel carried Emma's suitcase because of her Elven physique it will be easy.
They started walking towards the forest and walked there instead of the road because Luke suggested.
The road being closed seemed suspicious to him and he might have an idea where this leads to, and he really hopes he is wrong.
And taking a forest road might increase the length of their journey by few hours than walking on a normal road, but better be safe than sorry.
For the next 4 hours, they kept walking until Emma was completely exhausted and couldn't keep walking.
Edward and Sara were also panting.
While Aeriel and Luke were fine.
They currently weren't walking anymore, because the sun has already disappeared from the sun, and the moon took its place.
''Let's have a camp here, tomorrow morning we will arrive at the rift,'' Luke said and others nodded.
They did take out tents from the home, which Luke remembers they used the tents when he was a kid.
There are only 3 tents.
Edward and Sara are in the first tent.
Emma and Aeriel in second.
While Luke in third.
Aeriel slightly pouted because she wanted to be with Luke, but obviously, she won't tell them.
Luke entered his tent and lied down on the small mattress.
He took an apple from his suitcase and started munching on it.
'I remember something about future memories... Some of the people complained on the internet that the military blocked off the road to the Rifts...' Luke thought.
He remembers the Military blocking off the road and if some stubborn ones still keep walking towards the Rift, then they will be waiting at the Rift.
It didn't make into big news in his future memories, but he remembers clearly someone talking about the soldiers threatening anyone who even walks close to the Rift.
The Rift is huge, it's impossible to completely guard it with their manpower.
...But Edward drove a very common road to get there, and probably quite many who plans to go to Rift used the same road.
Edward, Sara, and Emma might not be willing to get into Rift if they see soldiers guarding it with guns, threatening to shoot anyone who gets close to it.
Luke thought anxiously for another few hours and midnight already arrived.
*Crack*
He suddenly heard the noise of the stick getting broken.
He sat up in silence and saw a shadow approaching his tent.
The shadow closed on his tent, he prepared to take his baseball bat from his suitcase.
...Until the tent opened and the familiar sight of golden-haired Elf appeared.
''Aeriel?!'' Luke asked.
Aeriel smiled sweetly. ''I noticed you were still awake.''
'LIE! I was planning to watch you sleep, but you were awake!!' Aeriel thought with panic under her Camouflage Magic.
''Ah, yes.'' Luke scratched the back of his head and let Aeriel in the tent.
''Why were you awake?'' Aeriel asked curiously.
''Remember the road being blocked.''
Aeriel nodded.
''I think the Military is behind it, they might be waiting for us at our destination,''
''I see...'' Aeriel thought deeply.
''Well, I will think of a solution once we arrive at the Rift,'' Luke said.
Aeriel nodded.
''Can you tell me more about the New World?'' Luke changed the topic and asked with his eyes shining.
Aeriel giggled seeing his childish antics. ''I don't know where the Rift takes us because most of the humans were quite scattered once they went through the portal.
But, as I said - I am from the Elven Kingdom, we are the biggest Kingdom, but we aren't the richest or strongest Kingdom.
Richest and Strongest Kingdom is the Dragon Kingdom, they didn't send their Representative because they are very prideful and after they heard that Humans couldn't use Magic - they pretty much was against of Humans arriving at the New World.''
Luke nodded. 'The Dragons are definitely over 100 times stronger than any human - And they obviously are displeased with anyone who can't use magic.' He thought.
''Even though the Dragon Kingdom is strongest, they have a lot of enemies - Which makes the World's balance safe... but once the humans arrive... I don't know what will happen.'' Aeriel said with concern.
''What will you do after you get back to the New World?'' Luke asked with curiosity.
Aeriel wryly smiled. ''I didn't exactly tell my mother that I was leaving, so they must be searching me anxiously.''
Luke thought for a moment and said. ''But... if you came from the future... There must be present you there right now...''
Aeriel shook her head. ''My future body was connected with my past body - So there isn't second me in existence, only me.''
Luke exclaimed. ''I see, but your parents must be very worried.''
'They might not let me leave the castle for the next 100 years...' Aeriel wryly smiled.
'But it's fine if my Luke would be there~ But if not... I would die without seeing him for 100 years!' Aeriel thought with panic, she decided that her plans needs to be set in the motion.
Plan to seduce Luke...
Aeriel with a firm nod decided.
She will go into the offensive once they reach the New World.
