Chapter 6 (+18)

Tay's lower body twitched, drawing the man from his sleep. Inhaling deeply, he came awake at the strong smell wafting through the house.

Sitting up, he found the other side of the bed empty and cold. The bathroom light was off, but the bedroom door was open.

Sliding out of bed, Tay left the room and wandered into the living room. He saw Damian sprawled out on the couch half dressed. One knee was propped on the back of the couch as the young man stroked himself.

Tay plugged his nose to settle his body that was roaring to life. He would ruin whatever trust he had gained with Damian if he did anything to him.

Sighing, he dropped a hand to Damian's soft hair and ruffled it. Damian panted lightly as his hand kept a steady rhythm. He looked up in Tay's face, and the other man could see the desire written there.

"What do you need?" he whispered. He rubbed the curls in an easy motion so Damian could focus on that.

"Help me." His voice was strained as pleasure wracked his body.

Tay could sense his impending release. He figured Damian wanted him to touch him, to stroke him to completion. But he wasn't going to do that. He didn't know what the other man had done to him, and Tay refused to hurt him further.

He put his free hand to his chest, gripping Damian's hand when he brought his up to take his fingers. Damian stared into Tay's face, pleasure ripping across his own.

Tay did the only thing he knew to do. He released a small burst of pheromones and wrapped them around Damian. The smell of rosewood and fresh linen wafted into his nose, and he arched his back as his hand picked up the pace.

Damian released Tay's hand then reached up and pulled him down by the neck. Tay inhaled deeply as their mouths crashed together. His lip was bitten, and when he gasped, Damian dove in.

His tongue swept the inside of Tay's mouth. Then he sucked on the tip of his tongue. Tay groaned in his mouth, the sound reverbrating to the back of his throat and into his ears.

Damian grunted once then twice. The third time was followed by a low moan that Tay swallowed. His body convulsed as he came all over his hand and stomach.

Tay held him still, his mouth coaxing more from him. Damian breathed through his nose as he returned the sultry kisses. His body began to come down from its high, and Damian came back to his senses.

Slowly, he pulled away from Tay and blinked several times. His body relaxed into the couch, and he closed his eyes as realization set in.

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

Tay stroked his head soothingly. "Don't be. It's a natural thing you can't control."

"I hate this side of me. I hate being needy and sensitive. That one whiff sends me over the edge."

"It could be worse." Damian lifted a dark eyebrow. "Have you heard a female Omega talk? They have both heats and menstrual cycles."

"No thank you. I can barely manage this. I don't know how they do it all."

The prone man went to sit up but his body objected to the sudden movement. Tay put his arms under his back and helped him up.

Damian sat up against the back of the couch and pulled his pants up. His face burned in embarrassment. He'd gotten up so Tay wouldn't see him like that. In all their years of friendship, neither one of his friends had seen how he took care of himself, especially during his heat. What had just happened wasn't a real one. It was just his body's way of telling him he was overstimulated.

It wasn't because he didn't want them to see him in a heat. They'd just always come while he'd been on vacation. Up until today, he hadn't thought too much about them knowing about them. But now things were different.

He wouldn't be in this predicament if Tay had behaved in the elevator. It wasn't time for this cycle, but he didn't know what was going to happen after that night.

"Tay?" The other man looked up at him. Damian's face flared again. "Why were you mad at me earlier?"

Tay shook his head as he picked at the arm of the couch. "I wasn't mad. More like frustrated."

"Why? I didn't think I said anything wrong."

He didn't. Any other Alpha would have gone after those girls. They would have asked for their numbers, and if it was Jak, he would have slept with both of them.

But Tay was different. He didn't want to sleep with just anybody until he felt the person was his. He wasn't Jak or his brother. There was only one person he truly wanted, and he was sitting right in front of him.

He had never looked at a man before. They had never drawn his attention, and most of them were Alphas. He was a dominant Alpha, and he didn't want to fight someone because of it.

Then he'd met Damian, and that had all changed. He wasn't the typical Omega. He wasn't skinny and whiny. He was soft-spoken but sure of himself. Those qualities had drawn Tay to him like a moth to a flame. He knew he had to be close to him before anyone could make a move.

"Damian, you're rare. Everyone wants you to be theirs, men and women alike. I don't like that. I don't want to share you with anyone," he said.

"You're not going to choose anyone because you'll have to share me?"

Tay's face started to contort with frustration again . How could someone be so naive?

"How do you feel about me, Damian?" he asked.

Damian stared at him. If anyone else asked how he felt about this Alpha, his automatic answer would be they're friends. But after the last several days, he realized they were more than that.

He had sought out Tay when he'd been in trouble. He hadn't realized it until he had crashed into him. It had been Tay who had taken care of him, collecting evidence so no one else could touch him.

Even his parents had known who was better equipped to take care of him, and they'd left him with Tay while they'd gone out of town.

If someone had asked him how he felt about Tay, he would have to say he wasn't so sure now. The man's pheromones shouldn't affect him as much as they did. Alpha pheromones were stronger to Omegas, but only certain ones -such as a specific Alpha's- could drive them mad.

Damian would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. He didn't want Tay to get attached then have his feelings change. He also didn't want him to be responsible for another person's mistakes.

He reached forward and drew Tay towards him. He pressed his nose right behind his ear then inhaled deeply. Rosewood and fresh linen filled his lungs. It made him slightly light headed and his body flushed, but he held it together out of desperation.

"It's okay," Tay said. Speaking sent more of his scent into Damian's lungs. "You don't have to make up your mind. Let's find some answers then you can figure out what you want to do."

Tay went to move, but Damian refused to let him go. The Alpha tried to move him, but the Omega held firm.

"Damian," he groaned. "What are you...hey!"

Damian nipped at his jaw and moved his mouth up to kiss him again. Tay gripped the back of his head as he sought more. His friend was either being reckless or he had feigned ignorance on such things. Either way, he had done this on his own accord.

The smaller man's mouth was everywhere. He kissed his mouth, jaw, everywhere he found exposed skin. Tay wanted to control it, but Damian's hands were rough in his shirt.

So instead of curbing him, he let him do what he wanted. There was only so much he could do. If Damian was in the right state of mind, he would let him have his way. But if he showed signs of losing it, Tay would stop it.

Damian seemed to be in full control so he let him continue as he pleased.

"Tay." The man lifted his head. "Can we do it?"

Tay remembered the way he'd asked that a couple of nights ago. His eyes had been full of terror when he asked for a favor. To make sure he was certain, Tay had told him to wait.

Now looking at his face, Tay knew he was clear headed. This was the Damian he knew, and this was the man he could give his all to.

He wrapped his arms around him and pulled him flush into him. One hand stayed at his waist as the other gripped the back of his head and kissed him. He drew him up on his tiptoes, almost bending him in half.

"The only way I'll do this," he said against Damian's lips, "is if you tell me if I hurt you."

Damian tilted his head and brought their mouths together again. Tay gripped his hair gently, deepening it second by second.

"I promise," Damian whispered.

Tay bent down and scooped him up by his knees. Damian started on his neck as he walked to the bedroom.

He opened the door and closed it with his foot. Dumping Damian to the bed, he covered his body with his and sealed their mouths together.
