Chapter three - Reborn as a priceless Princess.

The past time:

They found her in the morning on the river bank frail and almost dead. Her personal maid and other soldiers from the palace immediately rushed her back to the palace and summoned a doctor. They secretly sent a message to the crown prince who had been far away from the country,stating that his wife had been harmed.

Anna Sue opened her eyes! She was in Anna Rose's body now. Nobody knew that the real Anna Rose is dead. She grunted in pain and held her chest with her hand. The place where the gun had shot. She was glad that the person who killed Anna Rose had not targeted the heart.

She slowly sat up and surveyed her surroundings. She was in her room on a large queen sized bed covered in royal pastel pink sheets. The room was quite large and contained a lot of antiques and tables. Beside on of the windows was her dressing table and stool. The floor was covered in fox fur carpet. This arrangement was rather pretty cool but pink wasn't her kind of colour. As expected, the room of priceless Princess.

"Since I'm reborn, I'll make the best out of life"Anna Sue said to herself. She suddenly heard knocks on the door facing her. She lay back on the bed quickly and pretended to be asleep. After twenty seconds, somebody came inside and placed a large tray of food and medicine on the table beside her bed.

"*sniff...My lady.... I'm sorry I couldn't protect you from harm... I'm a worthless person deserving scorn from you" said the person tearfully in English. The person then sat on the bed and gently held her hand.

'If I am not mistaken,this is the princess's personal maid' Anna Sue thought. Anna Rose's memory showed her a part where she shared close friendship with the personal maid. Her name was Mary. She had been by Anna Rose side never betraying her ever since the day Anna Rose saved her life when they were twelve.

Anna Sue pretended to wake up and looked at Mary." Mary... what are you doing here?..."

"My lady!... you're awake!"Mary clasped her hands tightly and smiled. She had been crying since before she came inside the room. Her brown hair,messy and her light brown eyes were red around the corner. She looked disheveled.

' well at least I have one trusted aid by my side for now ' Anna Sue thought. She gingerly sat up with the help of Mary and ate the the food that was prepared by Mary herself." How did I end up here on the bed with this wounds?" She asked Mary.

"It was His highness's soldiers and I that found you on the river bank near the outskirts of our kingdom" Mary replied.

" His Highness?" Anna Sue quizzically asked. She suddenly recalled the fragment of Anna Rose's husband- the crown prince of Country H.

"My lady doesn't remember?!"Mary looked scared."Your husband?"

'Oh great!! I'm married again!' Anna Sue inwardly rolled her eyes.' Can't I live single and free?... Anyway it's not my problem for now'. She replied" I know my husband Mary.... but I don't seem to remember his face a bit". That was true because Anna Rose never saw him often because he was mostly away from the country to participate in wars.

"Alright... My lady"Mary smiled and sat back in deep thoughts. Anna Sue was rather curious on what Mary was thinking so, she looked at her trying to decipher what was going on in Mary's mind. But what happened next shocked her to the core....

[ Hmm.... What can I do to make up to my lady. I failed to protect her! If not for that suicide note she left on the dressing table,I wouldn't have known where she was!.... But there was a gunshot wound on her chest indicating that she was harmed by someone trying to get rid of her!] Mary thought.

Anna Sue: "...!!!" I can read her mind?!Jade never told me that!

There was another knock on the door interrupting the peace inside the room. Mary stood up to answer the door and on seeing the person who was at the door, Mary's expression changed into suppressed hate.

"I'm sorry to bother you and her Highness....is she awake? I have been so worried about her...Here I brought some fruits for her" Came a sweet sickly voice.

" Good morning Your ladyship Miss Julia...She has awaken but I'm sorry...she ordered me to not let in any visitors because she needs some sleep" Mary said while bowing to the lady.

The woman stiffened and after a second, she laughed - a shrill sharp sound.

Ignoring Mary she walked in with a basket of fruits. She looked at Anna Sue with a fake saddened expression and said"Her Highness is awake... I'm sorry to interrupt with this fruits...I heard you were not well so I came by..."The lady had long black hair and blue eyes- a beauty that says the word "Sweet". But even as she dolled her up in a nice expensive blue gown,she paled in comparison to Anna Rose body who was in a sickly and disheveled state- A fallen beauty that can actually cause the downfall of continents.

Seeing Anna Sue alive and hearty, She clenched her fists behind her back suppressing the urge to claw at that beautiful face of hers.

[This little useless vixen hasn't died at all!!! it's a good thing she didn't see our faces when we tried to kill her!...I have to lay low for a while since his majesty is coming back soon.] You could imagine the kind of shock she got when she found out that Anna Rose was found alive. An furious kind of shock...

Of course Anna Sue read what she thought in a fleeting moment. She inwardly laughed coldly at Julia. ' Found you' she thought.' Let's see how pretentious you can be with I Anna Sue'
