*There is a thin line between love and hate*

After the call with Berlina, Adria went down stair to her garage, getting there she met Asachi.

"Good morning." he smiled sweetly

"Umm morning, why are you here." She looked at him in confusion

"Well I couldn't get my car yesterday so this morning I had no choice but to tag along with you since we leave close." He looked really happy.

"Your driving." she said as she threw the car keys to him, he caught it on air and grinned triumphantly.

•••••••••

They arrived at work and began their daily duties.

Adria was told the rules guiding the company and other essential information.

Asachi tested her skills and realized she was pretty good, so Adria and Asachi began to sort out documents due to the fact that they had an upcoming event, they had to cover up their incomplete documents.

The files were much and Adria and Asachi couldn't go for lunch. In the evening they finished half of the documents and went back home on their way to the car park, Asachi offered to take Adria to a nice restaurant she agreed and they drove in their own cars arriving at Beige which was seated at the very top of the Chanel building.

"Hmm I never knew you earned so much tho." Adria said as she looked around, appreciating the view.

"Well! perks of being a personal assistant to the acting ceo of the lu cooperation." he said as they both sat.

"Acting?." Adria asked.

"Mhmm I know your curious to know what happened but all I can say is we experienced a depreciation of our stock as at last year and as for now mr lu isn't the one with the highest shares in the lu cooperation." Asachi said as he glanced through their menu.

"Wow that's bad what if he can't get them back." Adria felt a bit sad, he was Berlina's friend after all.

"He sold it to a very good friend of his that he trusts, that's all I can say about that, so now tell me about life in Nigeria and few misconceptions held by other countries towards your country." he said trying to change the topic.

He signaled a waitress as he placed his order.

Adria smiled sweetly, aware of his uneasiness towards the previous discussion "That's would be my pleasure." she said as she went with the flow.

Asachi stared at her as he waited for her explanation.

"Well Nigeria, Nigeria is a simple and blessed country, it one of the largest populated country, it has different ethnicity and I happen to be from two the south and the east." She grinned.

"Let me guess dad east, mom south." He said interrupting her.

"Nope the other way around, now people tend to think Nigerians are proud people and doesn't know anything but a Nigerian hates to be trampled upon as you know or you might have heard we went through a bad colonial experience and when we the younger ones grow up we got to hear the stories of our ansestors and we were taught to fight for our right and unlike you people, the Africans learn from 8 in the morning to latest 3 at noon. The Africans or should I say Nigerians actually do know a lot but choose to keep shut in other to access your intellectual callibar before speaking." Adria grinned as she knew he was finally lost cause he kept staring and nodding his head vigorously with fake interest.

"Wow, what about skin colour your light skinned, I thought you all were black so if your mom and dad are Nigerians how are you light skinned." He asked.

Adria stared at him for a while and replied "In Nigeria I think to a certain ratio; black people got 40%, brown 30%, light skinned/mixed 20% and then the other racial residents 10%. Not to sure tho might be more per say."

"Your joking." He smiled.

"Nope actually in Nigeria they are a lot of light skinned like me." she smiled as she sipped her bottle of water.

The waiter arrived and served them some ramen, Asachi realized Adria likes it more so that was what he ordered.

Adria smiled as she saw the food, she was starving.

"So why are you guys still behind in economical growth, you guys lend a lot tho." He said as he picked up his chopsticks unaware of what he just blurted out.

Adria smiled seeing his innocence "The problem is not the people but the representative who had been given power, they creat disputes or should I say conflict in other to attain their selfish goals and embezzle Nigeria's fund.

Funny enough Nigerians are very productive. In the eastern part of Nigeria, they create clothes, phones, ceramics anything you could think of, few clothes in Nigeria are made in Nigeria and most occasions big brand name like Versace, Gucci, Chanel and many more are designed exactly like the originals for accessible rates by Nigerians."

"Wow that's fraud." He said.

"Lol excuse me you guy do it too and nigerians try to create a means to ensure those who don't have enough can live up to the standard the rich lives up to, you call it fraud but I call it equality ensuring no one feels left out or is left behind." She said as she spouts her mouth.

"Hmm when you put it like that I'll agree." He replied.

She smiled as she began to eat up "that's all I can say for now." She said.

"Adria are you rasist." Asachi asked out of the blues.

Adria looked up quickly "why would you say that, I'm not." She replied.

"Well the way you refer to our lifestyle as asian stuffs and then add yuck at the end." He said looking her straight in the eyes.

They stared at each other for a while before she bust into laughter "Actually I don't hate Asians, I just got a little believe that to a certain point you guys are rasist." She replied.

"Why would you say that?." He asked frowning as he felt attacked.

"There was a time y'all kicked black people out of there homes over here leaving them to sleep on the street, we sent few officials from Africa to understand why the government were being silent or the reason for the ill treatment but they gave random excuses I was hurt because those were my people doesn't matter if I look a bit different I'm still black and you see the way other Asians act towards me at work." Adria explained.

"Hmm." He replied.

"That's exactly what I'm talking about, in Nigeria there are a lot of Asians there living peacefully and at time they even get few women pregnant which few get married and the rest make excuses like I have a wife in Asia and shits like that." She explained.

"I'm really sorry about that, sometimes few ignorant people here loves to steer up useless conflicts and most times it cause of bad upbringing." He said.

"I know and that's why I don't hold it against you and by the way mr lu is my sisters good friend." she said as she winked at him.

"That's nice you know when I saw you, I never knew you were Nigerian till I read your file." he said with sparkles in his eyes.

She smiled softly.

They finished eating and left, they literally loved the whole conversation they had that night. It created a healthy friendship between both of them.
