Chapter 2
I would be lying if I said Shadow wasn't a challenge. "Alright you both know they rules. No shifting until it is said." The announcer said kind of fast. Shadow growled which made the announcer practically jump out of his skin. "Ready.... Fight!" The announcer said as he left the ring. It never fails to make me laugh a little knowing that after all theses years he never gets used to the power burst.
Shadow and I put up our guards and we circled around the ring 3 times before he threw a hard right at my cheek. He was fast but I was faster so I dodged and moved to the side and kicked him in his ribs with all my strength. He yelped and stumbled back. His growl made the ground shake and I heard the werewolves in the crowd whimper like weak little shits. I knew my growl could over power this because my blood was from an Alpha Dragon and Alpha Hybrid. The hybrid side of me Grey, was pissed and wanted out. I snapped hard at her to chill out and she growled but stood back with my Dragon. I was so focused on Grey I didn't notice that Shadow had thrown a right kick at my stomach. I winced as I fell on my back clutching my abdomen. "Okay, that one hurt a little." He came at me again and tried to stomp my face but I rolled to the left."Naughty boy. That's not a very nice move. Ever heard of never kick someone when their down? Obviously not so let me teach it to you." I said dodging more of his attempts to kick and stomp me. I felt like an egg tolling around like this. I got up fast and I knew both parts of me were giving me strength and power. I kicked him behind the left knee and fell with a grunt. Before he had the chance to get up, I had the chance to bring my foot down on his head until I heard the crack form his nose signaling that it was broken. Shadow was knocked out cold and showed no signs of getting back up. "BLACK CAT WINS AGAIN. NEVER DISAPPOINTS."
*Time skip to home*
I caught a ride home with Chase because he was the only person that knew were I lived. It's usually a hang out place because it's big. It has 4 floors with 5 rooms each and connected bathrooms each but the second floor has a game and movie room. I also got a pool house, and a basement with a pool table, workout room, and wine cellar. My dead parents had a lot of money that was left for me. I used the money wisely and bought a house and 2 nice cars and one bike that I only use when needed with the name Jade Hoffman. She was a family friend and a great hacker but also a Witch. I guess you could say I picked up a few skills. She switched our names and died 8 years ago at the age 45 to keep me safe until I was 12.
We arrived at my house after 20 minutes of Chase's horrid signing. We got out of the car and walked in the house when I unlocked the door. Something felt off. My Dragon, Clarity stood up and nudged at my mind. She knew something wasn't right and that put me on edge. I watched Chase flop on the couch "somnus" I whisper. I use my power so I could snoop around in my dragon form without him seeing. Chase might be my best friend, but I don't trust anyone with my dragon secret. I make sure Chase is in a deep sleep before striping off my clothes and shifting into my light blue and grayish dragon. I pulled back a little bit and let Clarity sniff around the first floor. She sniffed the area by the stairs and let out a low but quiet growl. I half shifted and walked up to the second level. Clarity was too tall and big to fit up the stairs.
I went into my room and I smelled a sent of a strange scent. It was faint but still there. It was coyote. It was faint because they tried to hide the scent. Grey came right beside Clarity and let out a murderous growl. It ripped through my chest. Grey wanted out. She wanted to kill whoever was in my house. She was thrashing in my head. I fell to the ground and screamed in pain. Grey stop your hurting me! Clarity pull back and let me shift back! I shouted at Grey an Clarity.
I flopped on my bedroom floor for a while to let the pain subside. I was sweaty and still a little weak but I had to keep searching the house and check on Chase. I was about to walk out of my room when I noticed something on my desk. It was a note that had the scent of the magic. It was like the letter was glowing dark blue when I looked at it through dragon eyes. The letter was calling out to me. It had a red wax stamp with a BSM. I grabbed it and it stopped glowing. I shifted back into human and tried to open it.
It electrocuted me. It was magic. It didn't make sense. Why would a coyote have a magic letter? Half shift into hybrid. Clarity said standing up. Grey comes to the front of my mind and whimpers. She feels bad because she hurt me. It's okay Grey, I'm fine now just be more careful and not try to take over by force. I soothe her. I half shift and pick up the letter. I use my clawed finger to break the seal. Before I could open it fully, I heard footsteps. "Shit" I whisper. It was Chase. I forgot powers don't last that long on future Alphas. I hide the letter in a book on my desk. You're still naked Raven. Grey giggled. I scowl at her.
