“Me?” Gary immediately responded out of shock. Although Austin did finish his match, and there was a fifty-fifty chance he would be selected, he still wasn’t quite ready for what he would do.
And for some reason, he thought he would be selected last. It was the usual type of thing, right? The leader fighting last, but then again, these people had no idea who he was in the first place.
“Yes, you, it looks like you are as spineless as you look,” Saiber commented. “If you are stunned about this, then what are you going to be like out there.”
Saiber shook his head as he walked over to where Pluto was standing. He had repositioned himself back to the starting point he was in before.
“Don’t go too easy on this one. We need to show Blackjack that his apprentices aren’t that special.”
Pluto understood the assignment as he watched Saiber walk off to join Trixie, and Gary enter in the same spot Austin was in.
“You think he’ll do okay?” Austin asked, leaning over slightly to Kai.
