The worries that Kai had, they were warranted. He could tell that Gary wasn’t struggling with the fight, but with just how much strength to use.
He couldn’t beat his opponent, that would be too much for apprentices, but at the same time, he needed to show something.
In a lot of ways, Gary was probably already showing enough by how well he was blocking against Pluto’s attacks.
The issue was, there seemed to be some stupid grudge between Blackjack and Saiber that was getting in the way, and Saiber was trying to use this as an opportunity to get at Blackjack.
‘These stupid fools, and they’re meant to be veteran adults,’ Kai thought.
Once again, Pluto had charged in just like before. This time, he looked to go for a thrust instead of a swing.
It would be hard to block such a strike with the handle of the warhammer.
