Gary had ended up no closer to understanding what the medallion did, nor its exact relationship to the Werewolves. However, he had at least uncovered a possible clue, one that could lead him to answers.
Now wasn’t the time to investigate it fully, but paying a visit to the excavation site where the item had been found might be the key to finally unlocking its secrets. That is… if he didn’t figure out what it did before then.
After speaking with Tom for a while, Gary figured Innu had probably had enough time to recover. So, he made his way back to the field, only for his jaw to practically drop to the ground the moment he arrived.
Innu had both hands pressed firmly against Kevin’s back.
“Please don’t tell me… please don’t say it,” Gary muttered as he rushed over. As he got closer, Xin and Kanu both avoided meeting his gaze.
Just as Gary reached them, he spotted Kevin breaking free from Innu’s grasp, and the younger boy was practically bouncing with excitement.
