Twenty nine

Damnon

Indeed after five minutes, the man came back with two Japanese beautiful ladies quarrelling lightly behind him.

The man first asked them to seat before they could put in their complains. They both sat on the side where our clients sat. Even under the light of the room, their expression made it duller.

" We can't make changes at all to the outfits." The black haired lady was the first to speak. She sounded composed though her expression said other wards. She spoke in English but her voice was heavy with the accent.

" I want my design not changed, I worked hard on them." The other brown headed one added.

" I am not taking your designs, it's just a few changes." Liv spoke and showed them the designs.

" They look good and it could add more viewer to watch our show." One of the clients spoke in Japanese.

"No"

"Yes" both ladies spoke at the same time. The black head accepted but the brown head who now I knew was the designer disapproved of this.

" No, my designs was perfect."

" But these are better" they argued

" They are your designs I just added color." Liv chimed in.

" You don't have to fight over this, if you don't want our suggestion then so be it. It your choice, besides we are not getting paid for it." I finally joined the argument after long observation.

The ladies still argued. The clients also joined in and kept discussing. I heard all of it. It was a battle of one lady against the rest. The translator kept trying to get each of the statements and tell Liv about it, she missed some though.

" Fine," brown finally agreed by banging her hand on the table, it was more than clear that she was still not pleased at all. But she was just one against many.

" But am coming over to Manhattan, I will be there through the whole process to make sure this little missy doesn't make any more changes." She said meaning Liv. Liv didn't seem bothered at all.

" Mrs." Liv corrected and she rolled her eyes at that.

" That would be great, am sure the company will take care of your needs, because we ain't going to." I said firmly.

" Of course." She responded clearly annoyed.

" I will send back the contract after signing. When did you say you will be needing them again?" I asked.

" In two months." The presenter said.

" Perfect." I said nodding my head thoughtfully. The items they needed were many which meant we needed to heir more workers to make the work easy.

After the closing remarks and a few hand shaking, deadly glares from brown, we closed the meeting.

The meeting had taken hours and I felt exhausted. We were transported back to the hotel where we got our bags and then took the next flight back to Manhattan, I had enjoyed my stay here. I was glad that was over, the meeting I mean. We slept in the plane on the journey back. Well it was Liv who did the sleeping, I did the watching. Something changed in Liv, I didn't know what exactly? But she looked different. I just couldn't put my finger on the main issue.

I wonder whether she had changed her hair or was it the makeup? I don't know but each time I saw her, I felt my heart....beat.

When we arrived back, I dropped Liv home before heading back to my place to sleep.

Liv.

I arrived home feeling alittle exhausted and hungry. I ate on the plane and slept a bit but that wasn't enough, I headed to the kitchen and had the cook prepare for me something good and warm.

I was home alone, Tania had gone to work and Sabastian along with her. The house was quiet.

After my meal, I went upstairs to my room and sat heavily on my bed, my fluffy bed. The room looked packed compared to when I left it. I looked around and my eyes meet reddish brown eyes hanging on the wall, it felt like it was staring right through me. Of late those eyes were becoming alot common. Damnon, Liam, Tania and the man in the picture had it too.

The eyes belonged to a painting that hanged on the wall opposite my bed. I walked up to it and saw my husband's name printed in small letters on it. He was wearing a black tux and he looked charming.

This must be his picture from when he was still young, he looked so familiar though, like I had met him before. He looked so handsome and attractive back then. Coffee brown hair, reddish brown eyes. It rung a bell but I didn't know which one.

I turned back to the bed only to see my picture hanging there on top of the head of the bed. I was in my wedding gown. I looked beautiful. The picture was huge. About a meter and a half all through the side.

I had my light smile on, which looked genuine though.

Sabastian must have thought about it when I had asked him some time back in the library about a picture for my husband. I loved the way my eyes shone. I didn't look like I was from this world.
