Chapter 13

THIS marriage comes to pique irremisiably -Benja murmured. He had arrived home at six and, as usual, had found it empty.

It was early October. The summer heat was behind and the autumn was cold and misty. Benja felt like cold and misty at those times.

Cami's pregnancy had progressed smoothly. After a few weeks of intense activity, the company had launched the computer game, which was selling better than expected. It was all benefits and congratulations... but none of that really mattered to him.

The only important thing was Cami and the twins. So, every time he came home and didn't see it, he terrorized himself thinking of a multitude of possible misfortunes, to which he was most frightening and unlikely.

It should not be tortured. Cami had not given him reason to think he would go to flee. But it was obvious that his marriage was very fragile. Of all that united them, the strongest was the premarital agreement, and even this one had broken it. Only once.
