CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Sam was caught between a rock and a hard place. When he remembered the conversation that he had with his parents a few days ago, all that was playing through his mind was what his father had said that made him want to do what they said. From the moment he met Rose, he knew that she would be trouble, and because he couldn’t stop himself from feeling all that he had been feeling, he had now landed himself in quite a precarious position.

After the family reunited, minus Conner, Sam’s parents gave him a few days to recover from the wound as well as to plan how he would find his uncle, because by now, he figured that since his disappearance from the academy, they had been looking for him as well as his uncle, so locating him wasn’t going to be easy. His uncle was the head of an assassin academy, so if he didn’t want to be found, then he wouldn’t be found, and it seemed that was the case.
