Chapter 11 - She's A Hunter, She Could Kill You

“I’m not dangerous. If not disturbed that is.” She put her hands on the table, one on top of the other.

“Thomas is someone you will not have power over. No hunter ever succeeded in putting him down. Yet, he has never offended them. He has lots of hunter friends and allies.” He was having his being ready, at the hint of an attack from her.

“I sense his power. He is indeed strong. I’m novice with all this. Who’s Olivia?” She didn’t change her stance.

“She’s a witch, Master’s servant. He saved her life, now she’s his underling, as I am. She’s the main witch of our house. Olivia has feelings for Thomas. She wants to be with him. However, he never accepts her. She’s not his type.” He spoke like a friend.

“Did Thomas kill my father?” Her eyes blackened. Hunters would change their eye color in black. It was their mark.

“So, you are indeed a hunter. Ha-ha! No. I’m sure of that. As I said, he’s friends with hunters. Our house is friends with them. We obey the rules. We work on common grounds, for good causes.” He was feeling more attracted to her.

“I see. Did Thomas kidnap a three-year-old in his life? Do you have any knowledge about this?” She queried, maintaining her stance.

“No, he didn’t. Though, I know about saving one, some years ago. He was mad about it for years. I don’t know the details. The child apparently died, because of the demon who did the kidnapping. He didn’t involve me in this, nor he developed the situation to me. Seven years he was solitary and in grief.” He remembered the time when Thomas became uncontrollable under the Red Moon. The child died under the Red Moon, that’s all he knew. Thomas remained with pain, devastating everything under such event. Killing sprees were normal, if he were to escape from his restrains.

“Hmm…. Alright.” Her eyes became normal.

Thomas made his appearance known, together with six female servants. “Take her and prepare for the wedding.”

“I’m not…!” Mika was fetched, against her will, by the servants, and taken to get washed, changed, and all the process she had to go through, to be the perfect bride.

“Sign the company to me, if you don’t want to be my wife.” He devilishly laughed, seeing her protesting in the servants’ hands.

“I will kill you!” The only thing she could yell as she disappeared with the servants.

“Thomas?” Drake stood up, confronting him.

“Say.” Thomas faced him, surrounded by a heavenly aura, thinking about the event to come.

“What’s the meaning of all this? She’s a hunter.” Worry was sensed in his voice.

“I know. There’s nothing I don’t know about her now.” He took a seat to have breakfast.

“And?” The answer didn’t give him satisfaction.

“She’s my fated one. She’s special.” Thomas started eating and had a glass of ’66 Original Blood. He’s favorite year. He wasn’t an ordinary vampire. He was a hybrid. A mix of werewolf, vampire and witch. Anyhow, he wouldn’t perform rituals. Olivia had that task.

“She’s special, she’s a hunter. Why would you want to marry her? She could kill you. That’s not only a word threat she says. She’s dangerous to our house. What about the others? When they will find out, a series of protests will emerge. We are the main house. We don’t need problems. You are the head of this house. If it was me being involved with her, it wouldn’t be that bad. But you? They will be hysteric at the next council! You are President over all houses around the world! Are you nuts?!” yelled Drake, standing, with his hands on the table, near the place Thomas was eating, seizing him with his furious eyes.

“So?” Thomas kept his chill, having another glass of ’66 Original Blood.

“So?! Did you put a spell on her? She’s too obedient for a hunter. At 18 they have the awakening.” Drake realized Mika was protesting through words, but not matching volcano actions. Any other hunter would have spilled blood.

“Of course I did. She would have decapitated me until now. Well, attempted. No one can really kill me.” A faint smile captured his lips.

“Thomas, are you in the right train of thoughts? Is your mind lucid? You want war with the other houses? They are waiting for so long to get something, and start a war, to get your place among houses.” Drake’s mind was into all the consequences the marriage would bring. Mika was also present in his mind. Things would affect her badly.

“I have everything under control. New order needs to be implemented. Some cleaning is imperative. Let them manifest. I will better see who shall be removed. A new hierarchy will be established.” Thomas had everything planned. He wasn’t a man to do things randomly, at the spurge of the moment.

“You are really going to go through with this?” He asked his Master once again.

“Have I ever changed my mind when deciding on something?” Thomas looked at him, cleaning his mouth with a napkin.

“No, but….” He was interrupted by Thomas who stood up, pushing his chair back with a hard noise.

“I know you are attracted to her, maybe even fell in love with her. Between you two, it’s not possible. I expect you to serve her, be her everything, except her lover. If you won’t obey this, I will have you removed. Understood?” He put his hand on Drake’s shoulder, squeezing with some force, staring into his eyes, with bloody ones.

“I want what’s best for you and for this house. Mika is a separate thing. I don’t know what I feel about her. All I know is that I want to be around her and protect her. Never wanted to offend you.” Drake dropped his aggressive attitude, feeling somehow guilty about Mika.

“I know. You shall be my best man of honor. Go and change. Everything is ready in your room. Give orders to our men to be prepared for the wedding. I expect some attacks.” Thomas went away to change his day suit into groom garments.

Drake’s heart was into pieces. Mika reigned his mind and heart. His bundles of hope collapsed. She was untouchable. Thomas wasn’t someone to mess with and remain alive. He had no chance against him. Olivia crossed his mind, and her offer. He rejected instantly that thought, feeling ashamed he even considered it for a second. He was indebted with his life to Thomas. This wasn’t something he should do to him. He obeyed his Master’s orders and went off to attend preparations.

“No! Stop! I’m not going to marry!” Mika was tossing in the servants’ hands. One would do her hair, another her makeup, some, her nails. She felt like an army was messing with her body. She was angry with so many hands touching her.

Why can’t I remove them? I can’t act my thoughts. Someone put a spell on me! I can feel it! Olivia? She wants him, why would she help him?
