“Madam? Here is your wedding dress. You will be a princess!” Another servant brought the dress, making everyone in the room stop, and gather around the dress, with widened eyes, putting their hands on their chest, wanting themselves to, one day, be the owner of such a beautiful dress. It was indeed a princess style dress, with diamonds, similar to Cinderella’s wedding dress. The servant gave the tiara and jewelry she had to wear. Diamonds all the way. Bride of the century must have been her.
“I don’t care about anything! Just let me go!” She puffed but was impressed by the dress and her bridal attire. In any other circumstances, she would be part of the group, staring with a cut breath, at the bride’s garments.
“You are so lucky, Madam! Master loves you so much! He never went the mile to treat a woman as he does you! Many women tried their luck on him, but to no avail. He’s very rigid. Only madam Olivia can freely enter in the house. But she can’t approach him either other than her services.” One of them informed her.
“Is she his lover?” Mika became interested in the story. Maybe she could use something to drop the wedding.
“Oh, we don’t know. She did enter several times in his bedroom, but we don’t know the purpose. She sometimes treats Master’s wounds. She was a subscribed member of his room when Master went nuts for seven years. No one could control him, other than Master Drake and Madam Olivia.” They were eager to enter their new Madam’s graces, but they were supernatural creatures, too. Some were vampires, other werewolves, demonesses. No one in that house was a plain human.
“She is his lover then.” She abruptly concluded.
“Madam, it doesn’t matter if that was true. He chose you! You are the lucky one!” tried to comfort her one of the servants.
“I don’t feel lucky at all. I despise him. It’s not my want this wedding. I would have never chosen to be his bride. We are too different! Olivia is a better match for him. She even has feelings for him, whereas I don’t. He’s stubborn. I will be his eternal regrets.” Mika stopped protesting and let the servants get her ready.
“Madam, you are still young. You are at the age when you don’t see things clearly. With time, you will learn to love him. The only thing you shouldn’t do is to betray him. Other than that, will be resolved in due time. We are sure of that, knowing Master. We serve him for some centuries now, some of us. He is a man of his word. He never did something evil without valid reasons. Master Thomas saved many lives, that’s why we are all so loyal to him. He is President because he leads a righteous life. Yes, he has some bad parts, too, but you will get used to it.” said a blonde beauty, who was arranging the tiara on her hair. “There! Aww! You look perfect, Madam! Pictures, ladies!”
Mika remained silent, allowed them to take pictures, and decided to go through with the wedding. Thomas seemed an important person in the underworld, and her company was important to her.
Odin came in. “Madam, the car is waiting for you to take you to the venue. I will be your personal bodyguard.”
“I don’t need a bodyguard. I can beat your ass. No one can touch me.” She revealed her hunter eyes, in the mirror, for everyone to see. That moment, all servants made a step back, in distress.
“Madam? You are….” The blonde beauty said with her head down in fear.
“A hunter, yes. Don’t. I know what all of you are. I won’t harm you. You guys didn’t do me wrong. Act natural and normal around me. I have nothing against you.” She stood up, all packed up, as a diamond bride. “That’s why I said, me and Thomas, don’t match.”
“Master knows what he’s doing. He truly loves you if he did all this and accepted you for you. You also know him and his true identity. If there aren’t hidden things among you, everything should be fine.” said the blonde, becoming relaxed, feeling friendly with her Madam. Mika had that something that would make people feel safe around her, though she was herself, a deadly creature.
“What’s your name?” asked Mika.
“Esther, Esther Mathkick. At your service, Madam.” She took a bow.
“Nice to meet you, Esther. And you are a vampire?” She inquired with a quick look.
“Yes.” Esther kept her eyes down, in sign of respect.
“No. I want friends, not servants. Servants betray, friends, not so much. Hope we all can be friends, because I and Thomas will be battling a lot from now on. Prepare separate bedrooms. I won’t stay in his bedroom. It’s a contract marriage, not one out of love.” She ordered, going towards Odin to take her to the wedding.
“Madam, Master gave other orders. We can’t….” Esther couldn’t get her Madam change her mind as she left the room with Odin. She remained with the other servants, alone, in the prep room.
Drake and Thomas were already at the wedding venue. Crème of the world and underworld was invited to the last-minute wedding, and no one refused. All nine houses were present to celebrate their President’s wedding and welcoming their Madam.
Both Drake and Thomas had black suits, a dark bowtie with diamonds, black shoes, and trendy haircuts. In the middle of Thomas’s bowtie, reigned a ruby.
It was a lavish wedding, with top cuisine, luxury decorations, live band, Crystal champagne, swans, pigeons, you name it.
Mika’s mother, Dorothea Reigna, a forty something years old woman, with fair hair, fair complexion, green eyes, petite in height, and an S-line body, dressed in a sweet rose deux-piece suit, was waiting on a wedding chair, for her daughter to arrive. She had her arms and legs crossed. Her eyes were opaque.
“Madame Reigna, why sad?” asked Thomas.
“DiAngelo. Not sad, I know she won’t marry you. She’s stubborn like her father. You will need a lot of patience with her. She’s too young for this, and her blood boils with revenge. She won’t listen to me. Hope she will listen to you. I want her alive and safe. That’s why I agreed with my husband’s last wish and your proposal. Don’t disappoint me.” She replied, standing, as her daughter’s car arrived, making some ladies scream of joy, wanting to see the bride.
