My Training Ng Begins

"So, you ready to begin your training Will?" Brian asked enthusiastically.

"Well why wouldn't I, it's part of the initiation after all" Will replied.

Brian stature as a wolf did fit how he looked in real life. He had dark chocolate brown hair and big muscular physic. His brother Connor did have the same colour as him but was skinny and was a total geek. Both of them had light brown eyes and looked very similar even though Brian was taller than Connor. Keisha was blonde with some strands of her hair dyed red. She by far the shortest among the four. After school, they walked to a fast food joint to eat before heading over to the forest.

They walked into the shop and got seated. The waiter got their order with the boys ordering chicken burgers with fries and a milk shake while Keisha just ordered a bucket of chicken wings.

"Ever since yesterday, the rate at which I eat food is something else and the quantity difference between yesterday and today is incredible. I guess it comes with being what I am" Will said stuffing his face with his burger and sipping his milkshake.

"Yh I guess so" Connor added as he ate his fries.

Once they were done eating, William paid for all of them and they went to the forest. They arrived the Gatwick household and dropped their things in one of the living rooms in the house. As they came out, they found Eric, Linda, Miranda and Caleb waiting for them. They soon transformed and William relished the moment once more got cocooned into his wolf body once again.

"Right now that we are all here, it's time to give the schedule. Miranda, you're going to begin all the training sessions for the rest of the week. Keisha and Connor, you guys are going to work together and train him. That means you three would be on patrol together and Brian would join Miranda and Caleb. Understood?" He asked.

"Understood" the others chorused.

"Alright, as a wolf, combat is your life line. It is what could mean life or death in a fight" Miranda said as she circled William with Keisha and Connor laying down in the distance watching them.

"Get your posture together, stand up straight and keep those front paws apart to get a great strike" she instructed with her Irish accent as she used her tail to hit his hind legs and used her front paws to hit his to widen his stance.

"The week points of every wolf are your elbows" she said hitting his elbows with her hind leg.

"And you knees" he added as she also tapped his knees.

"Your throat, underbelly and hip should be the places you should protect wth your life. A bite to the throat would end you in minutes and when your underbelly is exposed, you're giving you enemy the chance to hit your vitals and if he or she gets on your back, they are going to go for your hip and if they are able to get a good bite, your hind legs would be down. You got it hotshot?" She asked with authority in the tone of her voice.

"Yes ma'am" Will replied with a calm voice.

"Now LW, fight me" she said with a commanding tone.

As soon as he heard those words, he lunged at her with all four of his paws being airborne. She faced him and saw the attack coming from a mile away and rolled on her back and as he came close to landing on her, with a burst of energy she extended all four paws and flipped him over in the opposite direction. Will never expected that counter at all and was taken by surprise. He landed with his back on the tree behind him and was pretty shaken by the hit but he was quick to get back on his feet and got back into his stance.

"That's the fighting spirit I want to see" she said in a commanding voice.

She charged at him and he reciprocated as both of them clashed as they rolled into a ball exchanging blows and bites with eachother. LW tried his best to try and pin her down but couldn't get any angle of attack to throw things into his favour. Miranda on the other hand experienced first hand that will was a hand full and was quite hard to keep down and he was as feisty as ever. Will delivered a powerful blow to send Miranda away from him. He got up quickly to try and convert his opportunity into a winner but obviously Miranda's experience was the key factor in this fight as she anticipated almost all his moves. His charge was stopped by a strong left hook that made him a bit fuzzy. He shook it of and was met by the teeth of Miranda as she went for the neck. He was quick cover his neck and twisted his body to Miranda's direction and they curled up into a ball again. Miranda was once again on too of her and Will was on the receiving end once more.

"C'mon Will, you got this" Connor cheered from the sidelines with a bark.

That gave William a bit of confidence as he dodge one of Miranda's swings, bit her exposed law and flipped her on her back and for the first time he was in control of the fight. But alas, all good things must come to an end and became over confident and made a rookie mistake which Miranda capitalised on, flipped him over and pinned him down by placing her paw on his neck. Unable to move, Will have up losing the fight but gaining a whole lot of experience from that match.

"Great match, same time tomorrow. Don't be late" Miranda echoed as she trotted off into the forest and disappeared within the cover of darkness.

William layed there on the floor as he gasped for air. Connor and Keisha proceeded towards his body as he laid there breathing heavily like a dog.

"Get up Will" Keisha said as he tapped William multiple times on his stomach.

"Gimme a sec, I just need.....to catch....my breathe" he said as he gasped in between his sentence.

"Oi get up already" Connor said before giving him a big bite on the butt.

William whinnied and then jumped up to his feet in pain.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!!!!" he exclaimed angrily. He was really angry now.

"It was the only way to get you up. Don't get to feisty, you have to save that for the deer we're going to take down" Connor replied.

"Wait, we're going to kill a deer?" Will asked.

"Of course we are and the best part about it is that we can eat it raw and not get sick so come along" Keisha added as they began to trot off.

William pouted before following them off to track some deer down.

"You see that there, that's roe deer footprints. Now take a sniff" Connor said.

William brought his nose closer to the footprints and inhaled deeply taking in their scent.

"Now, let that scent register in your brain and lock unto the smell. Also don't forget what their footprints look like as there are two other deer species in the woods with a different footprint pattern. Now that you've locked into that smell, take a deep breath and analyze the air to look for their scent" Connor emphasized.

William did as he was told and looked for any scent in the air that would match that of the roe deer scent that was locked in his head.

"I got it!" Will exclaimed. He was happy that he was making progress in his wolf life.

"Now that you've got the scent, lead us to them!" Connor said happily as he was happy that his friend was picking things up quickly.

William followed their scent and led Connor and Keisha to where they were. They weaved their way through the forest and arrived at a valley where they found a roe deer herd in the valley. The three of them lined up and scouted the area for their target. Since they were bigger and faster than normal wolves, it would be easier for them to kill the deer especially since William is 5'10, Connor is 5'9 and Keisha is 5'7.

"So LW, this is the first part of the hunt, picking your target. Take a good look at all of them. Remember, normal wolves would prey on the sick and young but since we are bigger and faster, we can pick any target" Keisha explained.

"Well, I pick that big male over there" William said with enthusiasm.

"That's quite ambitious right there I'll tell you that but since you are inexperienced, I prefer you taking down that female over there as it would be easier for you". Keisha replied.

"Eeehhh, but why can't I take on the big male?" He asked.

"It's plain simple, you are inexperienced and you won't be able to handle the horns. Don't look so sad, be the end of the week you should be able to take them down" Keisha said as she brushed her head on his. That seemed to cheer him up and lift his moral.

"Right, let's move out". Keisha said with a grunt leading them forward.

"Okay, Connor, start the stampede, William and I will be covering the left flank and move in on our target. We will be taking turns in starting the hunt so that when we are out with the others, you can be comfortable in any position" Keisha stated.

They all got into position as Connor stationed himself behind the herd and William and Keisha camouflaged with the bushes to keep out of sight as they creeped up on the herd and kept their target in their sights all the time.

"It's pretty important to be placed down wind so that your scent doesn't get to your prey and scare them off" Keisha said.

"Noted" William replied as they laid next to eachother and awaited Connor to start the stampede.

Connor howled and charged at the deer snapping and trying to bite them which spooked the deer and triggered the stampede. This moved them right into the trap Keisha and William had setup. As soon as their target moved into place they sprang up from their positions and gave chase to their deer. With William being faster than her, she had to give him some hands on instructions rather than showing him.

"So what do I do now?" Will asked.

"Now, you use your paw and claws to latch unto the deer's hip and bring it down gently not with a whole lot of strength but with enough to make it crash with a backward motion or if your not doing that, you could easily trio the deer with a well timed swing" she explained as she weaved her way through all the fast moving deer as she almost got stabbed by a stags antlers.

"As you say me lady" William replied as he followed Keisha's instructions to bring down the deer with a tap to the hip in a backward motion. Once he had the deer brought down and the rest of the heard moving off, it was just William and Keisha with the deer now. It moaned as it was obviously not going down without a fight.

"So what do I do now?" Will asked.

"Well, now you bite down on its wind pipe and strangle it to death. It goes like this" she said as she out muscled the doe and pinned her to the ground. She then clamped down on her wind pipe to give Will an idea of what to do.

"So clamp down line that for a few minutes and it'll die or you could bite down on the nose and mouth to suffocate it" Keisha added.

"I think I'm good with the throat" William said jokingly as he proceeded to pin the doe down and and suffocate it.

After three minutes the doe gave up the ghost and died. William gently let go of her neck and stood up over his kill.

"Congrats will!" Keisha exclaimed as she hopoed on him.

"Thanks" he said as he tried to weasel his way out of her reach.

"I hope you saved some for me" Connor said as he ran up to them.

"Of course we did" William replied

"Nice, I am looking forward to eating some time deer" he said licking his lips.

"Victory howl!" Keisha exclaimed as she started to howl. As soon as she started, Will and Connor followed and their howl could be heard for miles. It went so far that it reached the ears of her father who was way down south.

"It seems all is going well" he said to his wife as they patrolled their southern territory.

"Of course it will, can't believe you were so worried" Linda replied.

"Well it was only natural-" he said before being cut off

"There's nothing worry about, they are safe" Linda responded.

Eric then looked to the sky and started deeply into the clouds.

Keisha and Connor showed William how to rip open his kill and the three of them ate it up. They left some scraps for the scavengers to have something to hold their bellies until they make another big kill. Once they were done, they proceeded to patrol the assigned part of the parks turf.
