Fighting Caleb Again, Reduced to Seven

William walked into school with Brian and Connor with Keisha being nowhere to be found. As they walked through the hallway, they noticed that everyone was talking about something and Will wondered what they were talking about.

"Um guys, what's everyone talking about?" He questioned them.

"Oh, it's about this year's winter dance that's on Saturday" Connor replied.

"Wait what? How comes I didn't get notified?" William exclaimed.

"It was announced last week and text messages were sent to everyone to make sure the message was passed across" Brian answered as they stopped at his locker.

"Oh, I guess I was sleeping in class when the announcement was made but as for the text message, I hardly read those" William explained.

"That explains a while lot of stuff" Connor commented.

"What do you mean?" Will inquired

Connor unlocked his phone and showed him all the text messages head sent to him but got no reply at all.

"Oh, I guess I have to start reading my texts more" he said scratching his head.

"With that set aside, who are you going to ask to the dance?" Brian asked raising his eyebrow intimidatingly.

"I don't think I'll come to be honest?" William responded.

"What, have you learnt nothing?!" Brian exclaimed.

"Apparently William is a slow learner when it comes to things like this " Connor added.

"Things like what?" He asked confused.

"Love, relationships" Brian said slamming his palm on his head.

"Oh that stuff" he said.

"This could be the make it or break it point for you bruv. You have to ask her to the dance or it could be all game over" explained Brian with the two listening.

"Yh, if you don't ask her, someone else will and she could develop feelings for the other bozo" Connor added.

"But do I really have to? Cuz you guys could just come hangout at my place since my parents are coming back in the next three weeks" William replied.

"If you decide to do that, Brian and I are not coming" answered Connor.

"Why not?" he inquired.

"Cuz the two of us already got dates" Brian stated with a smile on his face.

"Wow, lucky you guys, who'd you ask out?" He asked.

"Well Brian over here got asked rather than it being the other way around. Rita Hofferman asked him and I finally gathered the balls to talk to Samantha so we got good picks this year" Connor said to William.

"Good for you guys" William exclaimed.

"But you know what would be better" Brian said.

"What?" answered William.

"If you ask Keisha" stated Brian.

"Ask me what?" Keisha asked from behind them. The three jumped up spooked by her sudden appearance.

"K..k...Keisha, what a surprise" Brian said with a shaky voice.

"What are you guys hiding?" asked Keisha.

"Nothing, nothing, just making plans for the dance. Say, has anyone asked you to the dance yet?" Connor asked.

"Yh, some guys have asked but none of them are my type" Keisha answered which seemed to lighten up Brian and Connor's face.

"Right, see ya later" Brian said as he and Connor pulled quiet William away.

"Boys" stated Keisha as she shook her head and walked away.

"So you know the plan. Start off with some random topic then build up to when you feel it's right to ask the question okay?" Brian asked as he went over the plan with William on the school's stairs.

"Yh I got it, just have to be confident" William said.

"That's good. Ol'Connor and I would walk ahead to give the both of you some space" stated Brian as he rubbed William's hair.

"Okay" answered William.

Five minutes later, Keisha came down the stairs and met up with them at the car park. She spotted them with Will as he talked to one of his biker buddies.

"See you around" echoed William as Timmy rode off.

"So you guys ready?" Keisha asked.

"Yeah we ready" Brian said winking at William.

The four of them began walking on their usual route to the forest when Keisha had to make a detour to the supermarket to grab some groceries for the house. She grabbed William and pulled him away from the house. They were designated to meet back at Keisha's house and Brain and Connor gave William the thumbs up as they went their separate ways.

The two walked without saying a word for like ten minutes before Will decided to break the ice with the event that was about to go down later that day.

"So, what do you think is going to happen when Caleb shows up today?" inquired William.

"Really, I don't know. I still can't believe that it's been a week already since Caleb's suspension" Keisha stated.

"Yh me too. Like I still can't believe I had four punctures wounds that have completely vanished within a week" William added.

The two walked into the supermarket, got a shopping cart and got what they needed. William pushed the shopping cart while Keisha grabbed all the stuff that was on the list her mom gave to her. While he pushed the cart he gathered up the courage to ask her but decided not to go straight to the point but strike up a conversation some how. With his mind made up and plan created, he implemented it.

"I want to ask, why was I your first choice to bring to the supermarket cuz Brian would be a better pick to carry all this stuff" he stated.

"Well that's because I needed to get you away from those two to ask you a question" replied Keisha.

"And what might that be?" He answered inquisitively.

"Well, I want to to ask if you'd be my date to the dance?" She asked turning around to face him.

William was dumbfounded as his plan just became useless.

"It's not like I'm forcing you or anything" Keisha added.

"No, no, no, I'll be your date to the dance" Will answered with a blush.

"Great!" She exclaimed as they continued their shopping task weaving through the shopping isles.

Before William could get some air to breathe, Connor and Brian pulled him away from Keisha's side in the kitchen and pulled him into the living room demanding a report on what had transpired between the two.

"So, what happened?" Brian asked with excitement.

"Well I didn't ask her" William said which their heads drop.

"I didn't ask her because she asked me!" He exclaimed. That phrase took them by surprise.

"Wow, I did not see that coming at all" Connor commented.

"Yh,me too. So give us all the details" Brian demanded.

"Well I don't think I'll do that now. I'll send you a voice note later cuz we have to prepare for Caleb's arrival" explained William.

"Oh yh, I almost forgot about that. Don't forget Will" Brian said as he and his brother walked out of the room.

"I won't" William echoed.

Caleb stood in the designated area Eric had arranged for them to meet after his little incident. He waited for twenty minutes before hearing wolf howls and his pack member's walked out of the tree line. Eric and Linda led the way and they were followed by William and Miranda with Keisha, Brian and Connor emerging last from the trees. Snarls and growls were heard as their heavy footsteps got closer and closer. Miranda snarkled at Brain and Connor who got into a little arguement between eachother. That did the trick with both of them immediately stopping their arguement. Eric and Linda walked down the rocky descent and stood fifteen feet away from Caleb with Miranda and William stationed on the flanks standing on the biggest Rick around. Brian and the others stood down the middle as he stationed himself behind Eric and Linda while Connor and Keisha stood behind him. The snow helped William camoflage better with his environment but the same couldn't be said for all of them. Connor had no trouble at all with the weather but Brain and Miranda's case was different. With Miranda being all brown it would be harder for her to blend in and the same could be said for Brian though he was all brown like her. Most of the pack had brighter coloured coats than Brian and Miranda so they were more acute to the weather than they were.

"Caleb" Eric said.

"Eric" Caleb replied.

"We all know why were gathered here today. It's because of what you did to your OWN pack member" Eric announced.

"It was a disgraceful act for one to turn on his own pack member out of sheer jealousy and hatred" Eric added before Caleb snarled at him.

"That's not true" Caleb lashed back.

" Do not test my patience boy. Do not speak until you are asked to" Eric said with authority. This made Caleb growl and snarl even more which triggered William, Keisha, Brian and Connor to growl back at him.

"Easy now guys, we don't want to go all hostile on him" Miranda cautioned them which made them stop growling.

"So how do you respond to this accusations?" asked Linda

"All I did was not spored out of just jealousy and hatred, it was because of the foolish and unwise decision you three carried out and I will not stand by it!" Caleb replied angrily.

"I will not allow such a decision to be carried out without me doing something about it" he added.

" Is that why you resulted to attacking me?!" William lashed back.

"Oh, I see the little Laire has healed from his wounds and is back on his feet. You're lucky Brian came in to save you or you'd be six feet under like the rest of your Laire ancestors before you" Caleb responded.

"How dare you!" William exclaimed angrily as he gave off a deep growl and was about to launch an attack on Caleb before being held to a stand still by Eric. It was evident that that statement got under his skin.

"Hold it there William" Eric commanded with a snarl. He then turned his attention back to Caleb who seemed to be enjoying this.

"It seems you beta still needs puppy training" Caleb sheepishly stated.

"Enough Caleb, you have disgraced this pack, your family and more importantly the Gatwick name. It's a shame that I call you my nephew's Eric lashed back.

"Well I was never here to impress you but hey my revenge on that Laire boy who stands behind you being loved and protected by everyone, but I'm about to take that away" Caleb said before sprinting towards William.

Eric, Brian and Linda tried to cut his run off but he managed to wiggle his way through the three of them as Brian's paw slash missed him by an inch. William decided that he wasn't going to run this time and decided to face him head and and dashed towards him. Miranda, Connor and Keisha paws dug into the snow deeply as they tried to stop them both from fighting as they were to late.

William ran up to Caleb and landed the first strike, a strong paw slash that just missed his left eye by millimeters. Caleb responded with a slash of his own that hit Will's lower jaw and made him do a side roll but recovered quickly and jumped on Caleb sinking his teeth into the back of his neck and launched both of them to roll down the steep descent into the valley below because the speed and velocity came at. The pack had to go through the longer and less steel descent meaning that William had to handle Caleb alone for a while.

William was fist to get back on his feet as he was fueled by anger now and Caleb underestimated him, he was going to pay dearly for that. William clamped down on Caleb quickly so that he would be thrown of Ballance and give him more time to do some damage. He clamped down on his neck but let go due to the paw attacks he was getting hit by but came back as he attempted a bite on his throat. Caleb was now on the defensive end while Will went on an alkyl out attack. Caleb fought dearly as his neck and underbelly were now exposed to William's flurry of attacks. One of Will's right hooks was able to get a good grip on the skin that protected the side of Caleb's rib cage and William tore through it. He was also able to get some nibbles at his underbelly but got pushed back with all the paws that was being thrown at him. Caleb stood up quickly and felt the long scratch his four nails made and enraged by it and attacked him. William was able to match up to Caleb's strength pretty well as they bit down on each others shoulders and the side of their necks as they stood on their hind legs. they continued the gruesome battle before the others arrived with Eric sprinting ahead of everyone and slapped Caleb away from William. Damage was evidently done to Caleb as drops of blood dropped from his coat and some parts of his white under belly was stained with blood. William also took damage but none was as serious as Caleb's as he control much of the fight. His pack members rallied around him and stood by his side as they were all behind Eric who was about to deliver his final verdict to Caleb.

Caleb was still pissed and tried to pull a fast one on the experienced fighter but was sent to the ground by a strong right paw.

"Caleb, you are banished from the Hamsterly pack and I never want to see you in this forest again. Have I made myself clear?!" Eric stated with a growl.

"Yes, sir" Caleb said as he picked himself up quickly and ran away.

Eric turned around and headed back home. The rest of them followed as Caleb went one way and the seven of them went in another. Their paths had finally split up in a dramatic way with Caleb swearing that he would get his revenge on Eric and William.
