As William laid there on the ground, Connor and Miranda transformed back to their human state and carried him up to Keisha's back. They laid him on top of her back and signalled her to get going.
"I'd run ahead and get the first aid box ready" Linda said before running off on top speed to the house.
"Connor, you go with Keisha and ensure William gets to the house safely, just go to fast okay, he needs to be safe. Miranda Brian and I would track Caleb to make sure that he doesn't turn back and try anything funny" Eric said as they disembarked from eachother.
"Alright Keisha let's go, we don't need any burst of speed or jumps, we just need to get him back quickly" Connor said as he gestured with his head for them to move.
"I got it, I got it" she said as there was a sense of urgency in her voice.
The two began to trot slowly as they gradually picked up speed and began to run. Keisha had to pick her running path carefully to avoid any unnecessary jumps and branches that could whack William of her back. Connor on the other hand kept an eye on their surroundings as well as William to survey the area to know whether Caleb was close by or not.
"Just hang in there William, everything would be fine" Keisha said turning her head to see him as they ran through the forest.
"You know I can hear you right?" Connor said as he leaped over a log.
"Shut up!" She excliamed as they continued to weave their way through the forest.
They weren't able to go up to their full speed as William would fall of and get even more hurt. William clinged on for dear life as he was hauled through the forest at a high speed in human terms. He opened his eyes and saw Connor running by his side and looked at the body he was on and noticed that it was Keisha's.
"Alright man, play it cool and just cling on to her" he said to himself.

They finally arrived the house with Connor leaping into the air and transforming back into his human form and rolled on the floor once before getting back to his feet. He and Linda helped William of Keisha's back since it was hard for him to move. They carefully brought him to his feet and they supported him as they walked indoors. Keisha resorted back to her human form but stood on all fours, she stood up quickly and rushed in to check on William. By the time she got into the house, she saw Connor sitting by the door on a chair with a worried look on his face. She couldn't do anything but get her own chair, sit down and hope for the best.
"You've lost alot of blood Will" Linda stated the obvious as she snapped on a pair of gloves.
"I figured. So tell me, what the situation?" He asked.
"I'll have to clean your wounds up and stitch them before giving you a whole lot of vegetables to get your blood back up" Linda stated as she noticed that William was about to blackout.
She readied her self and put ethanol on some cotton and used it to clean his wounds. As soon as it touched one of the pncture wounds, he began to scream and moan in pain. His voice filled the house as it was clear that he was in pain. Due to that his body reacted and pushed her away.
"Connor, I'll need your help for this one" Linda said as her head peaked out through the door.
"Mum, what can I do?" Keisha asked.
"Nothing for now. Just hope that he'll be able to make through the night" Linda answered as Connor followed her inside.
"Alright bro, you have to be strong and control yourself, alright?" Connor said to William.
"Yeah, I'll try my best" he said as he tried to bear the pain.
Connor held his arms down as Mrs Gatwick strated to clean up his wounds again. His voiced once again filled the house as the other pack member's walked into the house. Keisha stood up to receive them but they were meet with William screaming.
"What's going on?" Brian asked.
"Mom's cleaning his wounds. Since he collapsed on the ground she has to get all the nitty gritty parts to avoid an infection" Keisha explained as her voice almost got over shadowed by William's scream.
"Good to know but how long has this been going?" Eric asked.
"About five minutes now. Any sign of Caleb?" she inquired.
"No sign of him. We lost his scent as he went into the boulder Pack's territory" Miranda answered.
"Oh well, let's just hope for the best" Brian said as he walked into the kitchen.
Fifteen minutes went by and the house grew quiet. Soon enough, Connor and Linda emerged from the room with a serious look on their face. The others looked in fear as Linda broke the news.
"Well, we were able to clean the wounds and stitch it up. He had four punctures but they've been taking care off thankfully" she said to everyone's relief.
"You almost had us there mom. So when can we see him?" Brian asked.
"Maybe in an hour's time. So if you excuse me, I have to make a dish full of blood making veggies" Linda stated walking to the kitchen as Keisha tagged along. Connor and Brian went upstairs to do some of the assignments given to them from school while Eric went to handle some stuff with the forest management as Miranda went into the garden to rest.

With over an hour's worth of sleep in the bag William finally woke up and found that his wounds were healing fast. He tried to get up from his bed but found out soon enough that he still needed some more time to recover. He got up slowly and made his way to the kitchen to find Linda and Keisha making something in the kitchen.
"Hello people" he said as he opened the fridge. Keisha and Linda turned around surprised to see him moving about with his condition.
"What are you doing here, you're meant to be resting?" Keisha exclaimed.
"Well, I got hungry, woke up and decided to get something to eat" he said as he scanned through the fridge looking for what to eat. His eyes finally landed on some leftover dish and chips. He carried it out and was about to dig in.
"You're not supposed to be eating that" Linda said with authority in her voice as she slapped his hands away from the food.
"Well, what am I supposed to eat now?" He asked.
"Vegetables. You have to eat vegetables to get your blood back up and thank God werewolves heal a lot faster than normal human if not you won't be able to move as you're doing right now" Linda explained.
"Oh well, if it's for the best" he responded as he was handed a bowl of vegetables. The only one's that he knew there were, carrots, lettuce, spinach and tomatoes, the others were totally new to him.
He hoped that by tomorrow he'd be able to make it to school. He card his aunt and told her that he'll be staying over at a friend's place for the night. His aunt was surprised at the sudden change of plans but chose to allow it as he hardly ever slept over at anyone's place.

He settled into on e of the guest rooms with Connor and Brian also spending the night at the Gatwick household with everyone on guard. While the others did night shifts guarding the house from Caleb, Keisha stayed in the same room keeping an eye him for the night. She cozied up on the two seater sofa that was there with a blanket and watched William sleep. With an hour gone by Will took a peek and noticed that she was having a hard time sleeping as she continued to twist and turn on the sofa.
"Hey, I see you have a hard time sleeping, you cod go to your room and sleep, I don't mind" William said as it was obvious that he was very sleepy from the tone of his voice.
"I was given the job of watching over you so I can't just abandon you and go to sleep"she said with a shiver as it was very cold that night, colder than your regular autumn nights.
"But you're very cold, the only other option is.... if you share.... the bed with me" he said as he snored mid sentence.
"Hmm well it is cold and transforming in the house is not allowed so I guess it's the only option I have" she answered.
"Wait, you could go over to your room and get more warm things" William stated.
"Don't take the fun out of this, now scoot over" she replied walking over to the bed.
William grumble as he moved over to the right side of the bed leaving her the left side to her. Once she got into the blanket he was about to doze of when he heard her voice.
"Will, good night" she said.
"Good night" he replied.
She leaned in to give him a little peck to the cheek but accidentally hit one of his puncture wounds. He exclaimed in pain in response to that unexpected hit but was met with apologies. This time, she avoided all his injuries and completed her mission. The pair slept peacefully until the nest day.

William woke up to see that Keisha had already left the bed and was out and about doing stuff around the house. He stood up carefully and went down stairs.
"Good morning sleepy head" Connor said from the living room.
"Morning Connor, how was your night?" He asked
"Pretty short especially since it started snowing" he answered.
"Oh wait it did?" Will said as he rushed over to a window to look outside and just as he said, there was snow.
"Yh, school also called to tell us that there won't be school today so that means we get to chill all day" Connor replied with his eyes glued to his laptop screen.
"Seems everything worked out for our good. If you excuse me, I have to get something to eat" he said walking to the kitchen.
He opened up the fridge and found another bowl of vegetables with his name labeled to it. He was pretty annoyed that that was all that he could eat. He lifted his shirt up and discovered that the marks of the puncture wounds were just barely visible scars now. He ate his salad before doing a quick check up with Linda who was relieved to see his progress. He borrowed some of the winter coats around the house and stepped into their backyard to look for Keisha who was no where to be found.
"Keisha!, Keisha!!" He called but no response. He looked around aimlessly before being swept of from his feet by a wolf covered in snow which turned out to be Keisha. After tackling him, she resorted to her human form.
"Heh,you didn't even notice me" She said with a little giggle.
"Well you're had to spot with all this snow, your white fur blends right in" LW explained.
"I know right, my coat was built for thus. In the winter, I am almost invincible' she replied.
"Oh yeah, you're lucky that I didn't transform or I would've sniffed you out with no trouble at all" William stated.
"If you say so" she answered.
The two walked around the backyard admiring the beauty of the forest arrayed with snow. It was more beautiful than how it looked in autumn. Will walked ahead as Keisha lagged behind for some reason. She moulded a snow ball in her hand and took aim to William's head. Without him knowing, he got by the snowball.
He turned around surprised to find Keisha laughing at him. He made his own snowball and threw right at her face which made her to stop laughing.
"Now it's on" she said as her hand reached into the snow picked up more snow to make another snowball.
The two got engrossed in a snowball fight which Connor and Brian spotted from the window of their room. Brian called Connor over as the two rushed out by s blazing and ambushed both of them. Their morning was full of laughs and giggles with the four almost forgetting what had happened just some hours ago.
************************************
"Alright William, open up" Linda said to him. He slowly rolled up his shirt to reveal his faint wounds.
"It seems you healed faster than expected. By tomorrow, you'll be good to go" she stated.
"That's good to hear. Does that mean he can go on patrol with us today?" Brian inquired.
"Sure why not, as long as William doesn't push himself" she answered.
"Alright Mrs Gatwick I won't take it to hard" Will said as he pulled down his shirt.
The four of them rushed out jumping from the stairs and landing on their wolf paws. This was Connor and William's first time in the snow as a wolf so they had to adapt to the new change in environment fast. They also noticed that their fur got as thicker to help to retain more heat. They needed to be lighter on their feet since some parts of the land seemed to have deeper snow than the others. They split up into their various pairs and worked their way into forest to start their routine patrols.
