With the arrival of Brent's siblings, there has been a lot of tension around the house. They were able to spill the secret they tried to hide from Kent resulting in him becoming highly depressed. Brent, Eric, Linda, Janet and Brody are constantly and Brent's brother's neck as they constantly argue on how Miranda's burial should be carried out. The rest of the pack are just caught in-between the crossfire as they try to mediate both parties. Brent even got physical with his brother due to the fact that his brother was siding with the pack on how his mother should be buried. Brent's sisters just sit and watch everything play out without a word being said as they cannot believe that their mother is gone.
With the Alpha's away, William and Brian have been leading the team successfully, calling logical shots and taking smart decisions. Along with the support of the others they've been holding up well. Connor and Mary's relationship has also become weird as the two don't talk and avoid eachother as much as possible, especially Mary. The others are noticing their tension slowly and William, Keisha and his brother are going to get to the bottom of it. William and Brian were also benefiting from the exposure of leading the pack as it would help their role as a beta and if they potentially become an alpha when the reins of leadership are passed down.
The vampires on the other hand are planning on their final assault on the wolves to claim the woods once and for all. They would capitalise on the death of their veteran and their emotional instability to be their downfall. They haven't come out in a long while as they practice their skills in killing wolves.
"So Connor, what's up with you and Mary? I see both of you avoiding eye contact and eachother as a whole?"
"It's nothing Will really"
"Come on Connor spill, I won't tell anyone" William said with a persuasive voice which seemed to do the trick and he finally cracked.
"Well we kissed" Connor said with a disappointed tone.
"You what?!" William said in shock.
"Yeah, I don't know how and I don't know why she did it"
"Wait she kissed you?" William asked before receiving a nod from Connor.
"Wow so what happened after the kiss?"
"She ran out. What really baffles me is that she has never shown any sign of liking me neither have I considered her as an option. To be honest I don't know what to do or if that kiss was a mistake or something. I just need someone to talk to her and give me feedback" Connor said with a worrying tone as he sniffed for scents on the ground.
"Don't worry man. Maybe I'll talk to her myself or ask Keisha to talk to her cuz you know women and the way they converse"
"Yeah. Thanks man, I really appreciate it"
"No problem, anything for a friend. Now, with your women troubles out of the way let's get back to patrol" William said before running ahead of Connor.
Now that his women troubles had been settled. William howled and arranged a meeting for him to meet up with Mary in their central plain. The two met up and after exchanging pleasantries Will got down to the matter.
"Mary, how have you been handling Miranda's death?" William asked
"I'm holding up pretty well" Mary replied
"Why did you really call for this meeting" Mary asked respectfully as she deferred to his wolf position in authority.
"I called you here to ask about what happened between you and Connor"
"Well....." Mary said with a pause as she seemed to pick her words to respond. I'm sure if she was in her human form, she might have been blushing.
"We kissed, and then I ran out cuz I was scared and didn't know what made me do it, now that has made I and Connor's relationship really weird" Mary explained.
"Mmhmmm. Do you like him? That's what could've spurred you to do it"
"Well I don't know, I think he's cute and all but really don't know how to explain it. I just need time to sort myself out"
"Could you please tell to give me sometime? I really want to make things right with him so that we can make it clear if it was a mistake or come straight about our feelings"
"Don't worry I'll get your message to him. Once you've reached your decision you could meet me to help you guys setup a date or you could tell him yourself"
"Okay, thanks Will" Mary said before darting off to meet Ethan.

After the elders were able to settle with Brent's brother, a date for the burial was set. After Brent talked some sense into his big bro, they compromised at the burial and invited close relatives that knew that she was a wolf.
They were all dressed in white as they proceeded with the order of the service. The family members, pack members and friends were called upon to give testimonies about her and were all moved to tears. They proceeded to bury her in the ground with the rest of their fallen wolf comrades and alongside her husband. Her tombstone read with her nickname, KNOCKOUT. As the burial proceeded, they had uninvited guests arrive, Armin and he wasn't alone.
"How could you bury my old friend and not invite to the burial?" Armin spoke from a safe distance on top of a tree.
"How dare you come here to this sacred place!" Brent lashed out.
"Sacred place? To us, this is where we come to count how many wolves have fallen by our hands and it seems we need to add one more number to the tally" Rex said confidently as Tasha giggled in the background.
This totally pissed the wolves off as William, Brent, Kent, Connor and Brian immediately transformed and chased after them. They had ruined a special day for them and they were going to pay, especially Tasha.
The wolves chased them down and Tasha slipped on a rock, it seems the elements were against the vampires and she feel right into their jaws. The five boys had no problem getting down to business as they tore her clothes and sunk their teeth into her giving her many bite marks and nasty flesh wounds. Ain and Rex immediately turned around to rescue her and in the process of getting the wolves of her, Brent latched onto her hand before Armin hit him away resulting in her hand being torn off. Tasha screamed in pain as blood spewed out like a fountain from her right arm above the elbow. Brent carried the removed limb in his mouth as he looked at the two men.
"You better save your strength up for the real battle that's coming. A war shall be fought in this forest and you will surely lose, don't take this little incident as a sign of victory cuz this is only the beginning" Armin told the wolves before he and Rex carried Tasha away.
Kent wanted to pursue them but William growled at him to stand down. The ceremony was finally over and Miranda was laid to rest, Brent got a little revenge on Tasha for his mother and a war loomed, what a day it was. With the current number of the vampires, they wolves would need more teeth if they were going to stand a chance against the vampires and the wolves had a plan for that right?.
