Meeting With The King.

It's midnight, the dead of the night and Cara is ready to move. She carefully leaves the inn and heads straight to the palace.

The palace is dark and quiet, but she sees so brightly in the dark. She makes her way into the palace by flying through the gates. It's always so easy for her to fly through high buildings and gates because of her training in the military.

She heads straight to the main door, expecting to see many knights on their duty post, but no. The road was clear and everywhere was so peaceful. 

Cara stares at the environment, trying to sense any form of danger, but it seems everywhere is clear.

The full moon is up in the sky, shining down on earth and Cara doesn't mind at all. She's not a normal omega and at this point in her life even the full moon has no power over her.

She walks further into the palace, passing through many staircases till she finally makes it to the last room which is the highest room in the palace. She shut her eyes again, trying to sense any form of danger, but still nothing.

She's hesitant to move, but after some moments of thinking she finally unlocked the door to the king's room with her own special key, and she made her way into the room.

The room is very big and beautiful, so beautiful. The bed is so big and covered with fur bed sheets and fur blankets. The room is nothing like what Cara had expected to see.

Just then the scent of an alpha hit her very hard, and she swiftly set her gun and turned  around, but it all happened so fast, and in a blink of an eye she's being pressed against the wall with a strong hand that her gun drops down.

She's in shock at the moment, this has never happened before. She's the fastest and strongest, so why is this king so powerful and swift?

She struggles to free herself without looking at the man, and she successfully pushes him away and grabs her daggers, but in a blink she's back to the wall with her daggers on the floor.

This time around she hears a low growl of anger and she finally looks up to meet the king's eyes, and she almost stops breathing at the sight. The king looks furious and his eyes are red as blood, but Cara can also see that he's such a handsome man, more like a beautiful man.

His hair is long to his shoulders, his lips are beautifully shaped. She can't help but stare at his eyes, and just then his voice came in a low growl.

"Why are you in my room, dark raven?" The king asks and Cara feels her body shivering to the man's tone. She suddenly feels weak, restless and uneasy. She can hear her heart beating so loudly and she doesn't know why.

She has never felt this way before, but right now it's as if she's not in control of her mind and her body. She suddenly feels hot, so hot that she's unable to speak, and in a matter of seconds, she's completely covered in sweat.

The alpha is still pressing her against the wall with strong hands and he's not ready to let go any time soon. He looks at her in the eyes and he sees the bright big blue shining eyes.

"An omega." He mutters and presses her harder against the wall. "Answer my question now, dark raven. Why are you in my room?" He asks again but he gets no response instead her body trembles even more.

At this point Cara doesn't know what is happening to her body. She can only recall briefly what Smith said about the king killing omega, so now she thinks that's exactly what's happening to her. She becomes weaker and weaker, her vision slowly failing her.

She feels her whole body burning from the inside that she thinks she's not going to make it back alive. It's as if the blood in her body are burning flames and at this point her legs are already failing her. 

She trembles to the floor, but the king is quick to hold her in place and at that moment his hand touches her bare stomach accidentally, she hears his name, Lucas.

The king's eyes widen in surprise as well when he hears her name Cara. He could feel that she's behaving strangely and just then, her heavy scent hits him like a moving train.

Lucas growls and looks up to the sky, it's indeed a full moon at the moment. He stands up and looks away from the omega on the floor whose scent is becoming stronger by each passing second.

"Sam!" He calls in a very loud voice that even Cara quivers at the tone. Soon the door to his room is pushed open by another alpha, but the alpha soon staggers on his feet when he inhales the strong scent of the omega.

"Lock her away in the prison immediately." Lucas says and Sam looks at him with shocked eyes.

"My lord she's clearly in heat, the alphas in the prison will take advantage of her in this state." The other alpha says before he looks down at the omega, but his mouth drops when he sees that she's the great dark raven.

"The dark raven? She's an omega? Why is she even here?" Sam asks, but Lucas growls angrily as his rut is taking over him.

Lucas is becoming highly aggressive and he can feel his dominant side kicking in. He is getting highly aroused and Cara is the last person he wants to see at the moment. He's a man of honor and dignity, he doesn't want to take advantage of an omega in heat despite already knowing that she's his one and only true mate.

"I mean the empty prison. Do as I say right now, Sam. I'm going into rut." Lucas says and Sam stares at him for a while before nodding his head.

"Yes my lord." Sam walks over to Cara who is so weak to even stand up, but she clearly heard their conversation.

Sam isn't that affected by her scent because he already has his mate and lover with him, but damn her scent is so strong and sweet to inhale.

He takes her to the prison and helps her inside. He stays a while staring at her, but after a while he walks away. 

Cara whimpers as she feels so hot and weak. She curls into a ball and lay on the cold floor, regretting ever taking on this mission. She once again hates and curses herself for being an omega because if she was a beta or an alpha then maybe by now she wouldn't be here looking so shameful and pathetic.

Lucas hisses as he can't endure the scent of the omega in his room. He turns off the light and leaves his room. Life is such a pain at times. How can his mate be sent to kill him and then go into heat. He sighs and looks up to the moon, it's indeed a full moon so by tomorrow morning her heart will be gone and he will interrogate her.

Lucas blinks his eyes open and the first thing that envelops his mind is his mate, Cara. He has spent the night in his study room because he just can't stand the dark raven's scent, else he might end up doing something he will regret. Good thing his study is like his second room so he has everything there.

He takes his bath at his study and changes into a new set of clothes. He has an important meeting with his elder, so he's heading straight to the meeting, when he gets back he will interrogate his mate.

Cara whimpers in pain. She's so uncomfortable and she feels as if she's going to die anytime soon. She went into heat last at the age of 19, ever since then. It's been five years since she last went into heat and now she's 24 years old. She thought that her days of going into heat are over, but why all of a sudden? And why is it lasting more than a day? Is Lucas truly her mate that she should hear his name at the back of her mind.

She recalls the elderly lady telling her that when she finds her mate, she is going to hear his name in her heart. She says mates who hear each other's name are the strongest when it comes to the bond they share. 

She whimpers yet again when she feels so wet between her legs. Her slick is dripping down her inner thighs and she's so confused at it all. She has never felt her slick running down her thighs before throughout her heat period in the past. It wasn't that heavy as now.

She shuts her eyes close and the only face she can see in that darkness is that of Lucas. She doesn't know much about him, but all she knows at the moment is that she needs him so badly despite not being sure if he also heard her name as well.

She shakes the thought of her head and sobs weakly, before shutting her eyes. She didn't see this coming at all and she regrets coming here in the first place.
