Cara stares at the name written on the main gate for a few seconds before looking down at the letter in her hand. She's sure she's at the right place.
She's currently in the kingdom of Alternia and many eyes are on her. She's known around many kingdoms and by now she doesn't even care about the eyes on her and the whispers coming from the kingdom's people.
She's wearing her regular black lace up sleeveless leather top, a black leather pants and her famous identity dark raven feather cape, big enough to cover her whole body, only her boots are seen.
She knocks at the gate and waits for a response, and as expected a man opens the gate and lets her in.
She walks into the house that seems very much like a mansion. It's a bit hidden inside the kingdom unlike other houses she sees in town.
"You weapons please." One of the men standing at the entrance of the main door says in a deep tone and Cara does that.
She knows that people are usually scared of her, so she normally gets such treatment. She hands her daggers and gun to the man before following the other man into the house.
"The Dark Raven. I finally met you in person." A deep voice says from the corner of the room and Immediately, Cara whips her head to look at the corner and she sees the man sitting on his seat with a pen in his hand.
Cara looks at him for a while before walking further into the room and sits in front of the man.
"What's the urgent job?" She says ignoring his strange smile. She's not one who's interested in long conversations, she likes discussing business and getting it done.
Noticing that she's not the friendly type, the man clears his throat and sits up. He pulls his drawer open and retrieves a picture from it.
"Here, this is the king of Avalon kingdom, he's a very wicked man and he kills without thinking. He also uses the omegas as sex toys and even kills them if they disobeys him. He's a very wicked man, more like a monster." Smith says with a sad expression on his face.
Cara stares at the man for a while before taking the picture in her hands. The king looks so handsome, so beautiful. Cara stares at the picture a little longer before looking back to the man.
"What do you want me to do?"
"Kill him. I've heard that you're the best when it comes to hunting down bad guys, so I want you to kill him." Smith is fast in his words and Cara stares at him, observing him carefully.
She doesn't know much about the kingdom of Avalon nor the king, but from the man's words it seems he's indeed an evil king.
"What's the take?" She speaks suddenly, her eyes looking at the man without blinking.
"A bag of gold."
"Three bags of gold. I can't risk my life for just a bag of gold. I'm not some hungry bounty hunter." Cara says and the man narrows his eyes at her.
He doesn't say much, but after a while he speaks. "Done. I want him dead."
"As you wish." She gets up and makes her way out of the room and walks straight to the gate. She's not that comfortable in the environment, so she decides to leave the place immediately after retrieving back her dagger and gun.
She takes the next carriage straight to the kingdom of Avalon and with the map she has, she should get there by nightfall. Cara has all the maps connected to every kingdom because she's a very famous bounty hunter.
She's the best in her profession and with her good results, she manages to make a great name for herself. No one actually knows her as Cara, but she's generally known by her identity as the dark raven.
Over the years Cara has never failed on any mission, she always comes out victorious but she's never the happy kind of person.
She has gone through so many bad situations in life that she forgot how to laugh or smile. Her identity as the dark raven reflects the darkness and pains she has gone through.
She stares at the kingdom from the haired carriage, and judging from the flag, she knows that she's already at the kingdom of Avalon.
"I will stop here." She says to the carriage man, and the man slowly pulls his horses slowly to a stop.
Once Cara settles the man with his money, the man turns away and leaves the kingdom. Cara sighs as she looks at the kingdom from afar of. She's known for her incredible sharp sight which Cara knows that it's a gift from nature, besides she's a werewolf, and it's expected of her to have such amazing abilities.
The sun is already setting and the moon is so quick to replace the sun. It seems it's a full moon as well and Cara rolls her eyes at the thought of it.
She's an omega, but never has she been affected by the full moon. She had read many books about werewolves and their connection to the full, and she has also witnessed many omega getting all weak and helpless during the full moon, but with her it's different. It's almost as if the omega in her is dead.
Although She goes through heat, it is just a matter of sweating and feeling the burning flames inside her. She also feels the strong sexual desire, but she always fought so hard to kill that need as she doesn't want to belong to any alpha or anyone.
But as the years went by, Cara's heat rate completely reduces until she feels nothing burn inside her anymore. The omega in her seems to have lost its meaning and Cara has no problem with that at all, because she never really embraced who she really is to begin with.
Being an omega has been the biggest mistake of her life. It took away her life, her home and her family. She recalls those painful past of her life and she regrets being an omega over and over again.
She shut her eyes, trying to suppress her emotions like she always did. From the day her parents sold her to the slave house, she never shed a tear. The last time she cried in her life was seeing her little brothers calling out to her with so much tears in their eyes.
She loved them so much and she still does. She can bring down an army of evil men just to protect her brothers despite being an omega. That's the extent of how powerful, brave and fearless she is.
She climbs a nearby big rock to have a better view of the kingdom. She can see houses and people, and there's also a very high building in the kingdom, and Cara thinks it belongs to the evil king.
However, she decides to go into the kingdom to get more information about the king and where he actually stays, she can't afford to make mistakes. She makes her way to the entrance of the gate, but is immediately stopped by one of the guards.
The man is dressed as a knight, and he's holding a sword as if he's ready to fight. Cara sighs seeing the sight of the man. If she's to attack him, then he'd be dead a long time ago, however, she doesn't harm good and innocent people. Besides, the man is just doing his job.
"Who are you?" The man asks and he approaches her, but the moment he sees her up close and the way she's dressed, he quickly puts down his sword and smiles immediately.
"Dark raven? What brings you here to this kingdom?" He asks in a polite tone.
"Hunting the bad guys as always, but this time I was just passing by and I need an inn for the night, so I thought of staying here for the night."
"Of course, please come in." The man leads her into the kingdom and the moment people saw her, they started whispering amongst themselves.
Cara simply ignores them, she's used to people whispering amongst themselves whenever they see her.
"This is how far I can take you dark raven, I need to be at my duty post. Please help yourself by asking for an inn and please feel home." The man says with a smile.
"Thank you." She says and watches the man as he walks back to his duty post. Cara furrowed her brows as she noticed that something is not right. How can this big kingdom have only one guard protecting the kingdom, and he's so friendly.
She looks around the people and they all look happy and well dressed. Their houses are well built and beautiful. The people look so satisfied and even the children. The kingdom seems to be the most brightest of all the kingdoms she has ever been to.
She slowly walks into the kingdom, observing the way people talk in happy tones and love, the way they care for each other and help themselves as if they're one big family.
Cara shakes her head and tries to keep her mind focused on her job here. In life she has come to realize that not all that glitters are gold. There are wolves in sheep form, but luckily enough she's not one to fall for such people's traps.
She finally gets an inn and lay low till midnight. She also managed to get information that the highest building is the palace from a little boy named Jay. He's the son of the woman that owns the inn she's residing in.
She also finds out that the king's room is at the top of the palace, and with the information, she maps out her plan on how she would get into the room, all she's just waiting for is the thick dark night which is her favorite.
