Wednesday
It was time for her to finally return to school. She had learned to control her enhanced strength, at the cost of various things around the apartment. However she understood this was the only way she could hope to maybe survive an encounter with the stronger Villains, she could after all be categorized as a glass cannon character, if this were a game.
She had experimented with her new strength in order to find her limits in the downtime. Unexpectedly almost every bodily aspect had improved. She had tested her strength with a mass of metal that she had put together, and was surprised to see that her strength had reached a level comparable to Junko-san when using the Rampage Dress. She was certain that her durability had increased as well. And if that was without the Rampage Dress, who knew how strong she could be when using it.
She was also now comfortably faster than the normal human able to keep up with a car. She had also noticed that she hardly got tired. She had of course kept these developments hidden as much as she could, because it would be much too suspicious.
All in all she was happy with her progress, but knew that she could not stay content with progress. She had even found a trap card to use against most human opponents, one that was relatively safe even, but she knew she would struggle if she faced one of those weird monsters again, especially if there were any monsters stronger than that one she had fought.
Finally though, she reached the school. She knew that she would have to apologize to Uraraka and the rest for not going out with them, but she was sure they would understand the situation.
She walked up to the class door and opened it. She was a little bit late, courtesy of sleeping in, but thankfully the classes had not started, even if most of the students were already there.
She was immediately swarmed by her fellow students who were asking about her health. She was sure that Eraserhead had told them about, probably after being pestered by them. She assured them that she was fine, but most were having none of that, demanding to know what happened. Giving a non-committal answer of "I'll tell you later" she sat down.
The morning classes were most boring, but in the little breaks between classes, she had learned what happened during her absence, and promptly congratulated Ida, Midoryia and Yaoyorozu on their election. She was surprised that someone would give up being Representative, but understood his reasoning, though she believed he should be more trusting in his capabilities.
It was time however, for the Hero training Class.
The class hadn't even seen the teacher enter, only noticing him when they heard him talk about the lesson today "This time the lesson will be supervised by not only me and All Might, but another Hero as well. We will be doing Rescue Training!" he said as he produced a card with RESCUE written on it.
This time the class was more subdued in their reactions, but the more energetic ones were still shouting.
With a glare and a shout Aizawa shut them up, before continuing with his talk "As some of your suits are ill-suited for this kind of activity, you can wear the gym Uniform. Furthermore we will be going by bus. Go get ready."
In the changing rooms she had received her new suit, a modified gym suit. She had realized that wearing a school uniform, one that wasn't even U.A's was disadvantageous. First of all it wasn't practical. When moving 3 dimensionally skirts were a hindrance, due to it moving around and possibly blocking vision. It was also not comfortable enough, for her
The modifications were simple. In a utility belt she held dozens of coins for her signature attack, something that she would need if she became a pro Hero and some Iron Sand containers. She had asked for a support item to make Iron Sand from the environment and he had said that it would take time to be done. She had also trimmed the leggings and sleeves for no real reason other than her preference.
She and the rest were dressing up when she noticed a signal behind the door, one in the silhouette of a short person. She knew who it was without even trying. Only one student would do this, and he was already infamous. Deciding to be sneaky and perhaps even scare him off, she gathered the small amount of Iron Sand present in her containers and slid it under the door. With impeccable control she started writing letters while giving him a prick with it.
I had already dressed up, when I decided to go to the girls locker room, not to ogle, but appreciate the beauty of the female body. As I was appreciating I felt a little prick, like that of a needle. Then to my complete surprise words started forming. They read <
After the 5 seconds had passed, I was suddenly assaulted by one more prick and then another and another and another. At the 5th prick I started backing away from the door. Perhaps she was serious about that threat? The 6th one confirmed it, seeing as it went close to a particularly sensitive spot. After that I ran away -my jewels were at stake here after all- promising revenge to whichever fiend did this.
Seeing him run away with his tail tucked between his legs, Misaka donned a proud smile. While she could handle Kuroko and her perverse nature, she was used to it, and she also had a limit. But this scoundrel actively peeked on them, ogled them and was generally harassing them, something she also felt as she wasn't as flat as before. She hoped he had learned his lesson, but wouldn't say no to doing this again to him.
Everybody had suited up and when they got outside, the Representative led them to the bus, telling them how to sit. However it was a weird kind of bus that had seats attached to the sides, so all his preparations were for naught, and he sulked about it.
Meanwhile heated discussion had started about Quirks, sparked from Tsuy mentioning that Midoryias quirk resembled All Might's. Misaka didn't contribute to the conversation as she already knew the truth, but Midoryia had gotten flustered. The talk quickly became a talk about the strongest quirks in the bus, and unsurprisingly she was mentioned.
Just as they ended their conversation they had arrived at something that looked like Universal Studios Japan, U.S.J, for short. In the front door, a figure clad in what seemed to be a space suit started talking.
"Zones for every disaster imaginable. Floods, Landslides, Fires, here you will learn how to deal with them. This is a facility built by me, and I call it the… <
Two people jumped up in delight seeing the Pro Hero. One was Uraraka, who seemed to be fond of her, and the other one being Midoryia the hero fanboy who had already whipped his notebook out, ready to listen to anything she says.
The teacher went to speak with her, and asked the question on everyone's mind s, though they didn't hear him.
"Where's All Might? We were supposed to meet here."
"He reached his limit in the morning commute, Senpai. He should be resting now."
"How irrational" and he sighed "Let's just get started."
"Ok, I just have three or four points to make before we start."
The class stood at attention waiting to listen to her.
"As you may know, my quirk, Black Hole, can suck in and tear apart everything. And although I use it to rescue people, I could just as easily use it to kill somebody. Undoubtedly, some of you are in the same predicament."
She paused letting her words sink in before continuing. "Though our society monitors and restricts usage of quirks, one wrong move with a quirk can kill people. Through the previous teacher's taught you more about your quirks in battle and your potential, here you'll learn to use your quirks to save lives. You must always remember that as heroes your powers should not be used to harm people, but understand that you're meant to help people. That's all!" She finished with a bow.
Clapping was heard, mainly coming from the president.
As Aizawa started talking, he noticed something weird.
A black swirling mass opened up, and from out came a hand-covered person.
"Get back and don't move. Thirteen protect them!!"
Misaka recognized the hand-covered figure that came through the portal. It was the man from the bar. Quickly other people came through. She recognized a handful of them.
She had thought of anonymously contacting the school, about the attack, but she never thought they would attack so soon. In hindsight, she should have seen the crazed look on the hand-covered man's face when talking about the attack. It seemed to be though that she was the only one of the students taking the situation seriously.
The rest all thought that this was some kind of Robot attack, just like the entrance exams. A shout from the teacher woke them up.
"They are real Villains! Get back now!" He said it with such seriousness, that they immediately obeyed. If that wasn't enough what the Villains said next was even more terrifying.
"All Might is supposed to be here, according to this staff schedule." That was the fog-like person who seemed to control the portal.
The leader, the one with the hands started talking "Where is he? We've come all the way here with so many friends, for him to no just be here? Perhaps some dead kids will bring him here?"
The students all sweated hearing what the villain said and took defensive stances though some still refused to believe the situation.
"There's no way that they are dumb enough to walk into a Hero School right?"
Meanwhile, some had assessed the situation, the prime example being Momo.
"Sensei, are there any intruder sensors here."
Thirteen gave an affirmative response, and another student, Shoto, this time fired off more questions.
"Are they here only or in the main building as well? For them to not be working, one of their Quirks must have done that. They must have an objective, to make such a well-coordinated sneak attack."
A loud shout from their homeroom teacher interrupted his train of thought "Thirteen, begin evacuating them and call the school. One of the Villains must be blocking the sensors. Kaminari, use your quirk and signal for help."
"Got it!"
Midoryia however could not sit silent. "Sensei, you can't fight them all alone. With that many Villains, even you can't nullify all their quirks! Head-on battle isn't your forte."
"Know this. No good Hero is a one trick pony. Thirteen! Take care of them." He had already wore his goggles, as he jumped down the stairs.
"Bwahaha, he is jumping to his death. Which fool is this?"
"I dunno. All I know is that he will be a dead fool soon!"
For all their boasting though, they were quickly taken down. He started his fight, with a mix of his scarf, his quirk and CQC.
"Even a mob isn't fazing him. The Pro Heroes are so annoying. Ordinary Villains can't even touch them.
Meanwhile the class had started the evacuation. Unexpectedly though, they found themselves face to face with the fog-man.
"I'm afraid I can't allow that."
'What! When did he come over here?'
He continued speaking as though everything was alright "Greetings. We, the League of Villains, have come here today and invaded this bastion of heroism, for one simple goal. End the life of the symbol of peace, All Might.
'Huh!?' Shock and confusion were written in everybody's expressions at the absurdity of their goal.
"We thought he would be here, but…no matter. My role is the same."
Two students jumped at him, and unleashed their quirks. Misaka on the other hand had tried controlling the man, through his blood, but was surprised to find nothing. However, both attacks failed, and the fog swallowed them whole.
Immediately half the class was transported elsewhere, leaving Misaka, the other students and Thirteen to deal with the Villain.
A figure could be seen standing and muttering something "I can't contact them…. What do I do? What if something is going on? I'm going!" After saying that, the figure immediately bulked up, before being interrupted by the sound of a door opening.
"Hold on!"
"The principal!"
"Yes! Am I mouse, a dog, or a bear? All you need to know is that I'm the principal!"
"Your coat looks wonderful today sir!"
"The secret is keratin. But enough of that! Look at this. I understand that you want to help, but your injury has affected your efficiency at Hero work. Not to mention, you are busy training your successor. But because you don't to make this public knowledge, I recommended that you teach here. Try taking it easy for a little bit." As the principal stopped to take a breath, the man debulked along with smoke. "You also accepted this role. I'd appreciate it if you did some teacher work."
"You are right… I was getting ready to head to USJ."
"Ah, but you'd be forced to return anyways after some time. So why not enjoy some tea and crackers with me?"
Back at the USJ the situation had become dire for the students that were facing the Warp Villain. He himself was the fog and so any physical attacks were ineffective. Thirteen however had taken control. "Class President, run back to the school to call for assistance. If the sensors are still not working with Eraserhead down there, then they must be very well hidden."
Ida was shocked to hear this "A class President can't abandon his class."
However he was being urged on by his classmates to do it "Listen to her and go out. If you go out they can't follow you. Shake that mist man off with your speed."
Even Thirteen begged him to do it. Seeing the faith everybody had in him he felt oppressed. His duty was to help his class and so he stayrf
"What sort of idiot strategizes when the enemy can hear them?" They had completely forgotten that the mist man could hear them, but Thirteen had not.
Hatches opened in her gloves and everything near her started being pulled in them, signaling the activation of her quirk.
Meanwhile most of the students had beaten up their share of villains, their overwhelming numbers being no match for the students' stronger quirks.
However Eraserhead was now facing problems in his fight. He had beaten up most of the villains and he began attacking the person who seemed to be the leader. He had slammed into him, while the man was saying some numbers, and surprisingly he was talking about the duration of his quirk cancelling. The attack had the opposite effect though.
He felt his elbow disintegrating and sensing the danger he quickly disengaged from the man, dodging some other Villains and taking them down as well. It was then that the apparent leader started talking.
"You are specialized in sneak attacks, because your quirk is not good for these kinds of battles yeah? But you jumped into this fight. For what, making the kids feel safe? So cool, so cool. By the way, I'm not the boss here."
As he said that, a bird like thing popped up from nowhere.
At the same time, Thirteen was fighting the fog Villain with little success when she felt something aggressively pull her.
"You can't fight as well as the most ordinary of Heroes, and here you are finding yourself attacked by your own power."
Thirteen started turning to dust, attacked by her own quirk which had been warped to her.
"SENSEI!!" The class was of course surprised. The situation had quickly changed for the worse. Sato, the one who had urged Ida to run, had not seen Ida run and to his surprise he had not ran. "Ida, why did you not run?!"
Understanding the severity of the situation Ida started running while cursing himself.
Unfortunately for him the Villain was faster and blocked his road. 'They are all counting on me! I have to try!' As he was thinking this, Shoji, whose quirk gave him extra hands, trapped the warping mist in his hands. Seeing this opportunity he ran.
In the main area, to the horrified eyes of Midoryia, Uraraka and Mineta, the beaten and bloodied body of their teacher was the sight that had greeted them.
Every student here had now learnt the true horror of fighting Villains. And although some dealt well with the fighting, the Villains they had fought easy to dispatch, others weren't so lucky.
One student was not even affected though. Misaka Mikoto had faced more heinous Villain than this, and defeated stronger opponents. But why had she not done any attack? The answer was simple. Thirteen's quirk Black Hole, didn't let her attack. However, with her quirk now deactivated, it was time for to act. One peculiar thing she had noticed was that even if the Villain was incorporeal, he could hear them. That meant that he had hearing. This realization had made her course of action much simpler.
"Cover your ears!" Her shout was heard by the rest of the students, who listened to her and quickly covered their ears. The Villain however did not.
She was about to use her trump card. Various noises had different effects. Two applications for this were Sleep and Vertigo inducement. Through her power she could manipulate those sounds and use to attack. However this was the first time she would use this method to attack. Focusing on making the sounds sound only near the Villain she attacked.
Kurogiri didn't know what hit him. He heard a weird sound and all of a sudden he felt a wave of nausea hit him, his vision suddenly blurring, and becoming unsteady. Then he heard another sound and started feeling tired. He recognized that he was in danger. He tried to resist but it was all for naught. Sleepiness compounded with all the other effects, meant that he could not focus on the fight. He opened a portal and hastily retreated back to the USJ, knowing that if he fell victim to the attack he would surely be caught.
His retreat opened up the path for Ida to finally run and call for help taking Thirteen with him. The other students went to help their classmates and their teacher, after all they might have encountered stronger Villains. Misaka who had recognized a familiar signal in her radar ran to the U.S.J centre where Eraserhead was.
