The referee announced Itsuki's 8th win. So far Itsuki was easily able to defeat his opponent without breaking a sweat.

More than 5 minutes has passed since the Group B elimination round started. Out of 500 participants only less than 125 trainers remained. Itsuki was not rushing to finish the battle. Itsuki took his time to observe strong trainers that might become his opponent in the next round.
Itsuki looked at his right side and noticed the Cynthia had just finished her 10th match.

"Winner number 810"
"Miss you have won 10 consecutive battles. You are selected for the next round." Cynthia nodded and called her Pokémon.
"Garchomp return" Itsuki wasn't that surprised to find that Cynthia had her Pokémon evolved since the last time Itsuki noticed Garchomp was near evolving.

Cynthia then took a glance at Itsuki only to find Itsuki staring at her. Cynthia gave Itsuki a nod and then walked to the corner of the battlefield and waited the round the finish.
"She won." Cynthia's mother and grandmother smiled happily. Both mother and grandmother can see how much Cynthia has matured and grown.
"I think Cynthia knows that boy whose number is 1,000." Professor Carolina said as she and Cynthia's mother looked at Itsuki.

"Hey Itsuki, mind if we have a match" Itsuki turned around and saw a handsome black haired boy same age as Itsuki walking towards him with a Pokeball in his hand.
Itsuki immediately recognized this young man. Itsuki made his first debut battle with this young man so how can Itsuki forget about the man whom he defeated in his every first battle. "Finn" Itsuki couldn't help but smiled.

"Itsuki you have grown so strong in such short time." Finn stood opposite to Itsuki.
"Ready for rematch" Itsuki asked since he also wanted to know how much Finn has progressed in this 2 and half months.
"Come out Pikachu."

"Finn you have also grown up with your Pikachu. I can tell that your Pikachu is now a 4th order beginning rank Pokémon and close to reach mid rank." Itsuki was really impressed with Finn.
"Finn, it should be a shame if I can't fight you at your full strength. Lets fight at the next round." Itsuki really wanted to fight Finn at his full power. Itsuki had a feeling that Finn had multiple 4th orders Pokémon but he cannot display his full power.

"I like your idea. Okay, let's fight in the next round. Came on Pikachu, Let's go." Both Finn and Pikachu left and found a new opponent. Itsuki also didn't had to wait too long since another trainer came to challenge Itsuki.

"Trainer number 777 named Suzune has won 10 consecutive battles. Trainer 777 is qualified for the next round." Everyone hearing the announcement looked at Suzune including Itsuki. Itsuki was curious about the girl he met on his way to Saffron city.
Suzune glanced at Itsuki's direction once and walked away with a cold and stern look. "Her Luxray has grown stronger. She will be a tough opponent." Itsuki could see how much Suzune's Pokémon has progressed. Last time Itsuki checked Suzune's Pokémon was already in level 42.

Before next two minutes, finished Itsuki also finished winning his 10 battles and walked towards Cynthia and Suzune. All the qualified participants were standing there.
Even though both girls were standing together, neither Cynthia nor Suzune bothered to talk with each other. Itsuki could feel the awkward atmosphere.

Cynthia was the type who always put a cold face when she is meeting with strangers while Suzune is not good at communicating with strangers. Both girls had something that was preventing them from taking the first step and talk with each other.
"Cynthia, how was your battles?" Itsuki asked while walking towards them. Even Itsuki felt little awkward seeing the cold and distant look on Suzune. It was like she was telling everyone to stay away from her.

Suzune's expression was quiet similar to Sabrina's expression when Itsuki met her for the first time but there was also one major differences between their expressions. Suzune expression wasn't that cold as Sabrina's. It was like she was putting a cold face to keep people away from her just like Cynthia.
'Do all beautiful girls put cold expression on their face just to keep people away from them?' Because Cynthia, Suzune and Sabrina all the three girls shared the similarities.

"No, this round was too easy." Cynthia replied with a smile. Itsuki nodded and stood between Cynthia and Sabrina. Itsuki wanted to break the ice between two girls.
"Hey Suzune it's been a while." Suzune Horikita finally looked at Itsuki and Cynthia. Cynthia while didn't understand on why Itsuki was talking with this girl.
"Itsuki, what do you want?" Suzune asked in a neutral tone. Her tone was like Itsuki was bothering her.

Even Itsuki was taken aback by her response. "How are you doing?" Itsuki asked with an awkward smile since he also didn't know how to deal with this kind of awkwardness where the person you want to talk with is not interested in talking with you.
"I am fine. Who is she?" Suzune looked at Cynthia and then looked at Itsuki.
"Her name is Cynthia. Cynthia, she is Suzune Horikita. I met her on my way to Saffron city." Cynthia and Suzune shook with each other.

"Itsuki, please don't bother me. I don't want any friends so please stay away from me. I think having friends would only drag me down and prevent me from reaching my goals." Under the dumfounded gazes of Itsuki and Cynthia, Suzune walked and sat away from them.
"What's with her bitchy attitude?" Cynthia frowned as her expression turned even colder.
"Leave her. I think she is not good at communicating with people. Also her expression itself tells that she doesn't wants to be bothered." Itsuki said while looking at Suzune.

Meanwhile,
Horikita sat down and began to observe the remaining trainers. Suzune for a moment then glanced at Itsuki and Cynthia and sighed.
Sigh!
"I know my words might have hurt them but I don't want to be distracted and forget about the goal. This is the path I decided to take to walk out of my brother's shadow. I don't need friends. Only weak people need friends." Suzune was the type of person who was very hard to convince. If Suzune has decided on something then it is almost impossible to change Suzune mind.

Following Itsuki, a yellow haired boy walked towards them. "Hey guys. The name is Barry from Sinnoh league. This is my first League." Barry came running towards them.
Barry has yellow hair and orange eyes. He has gray pants, brown boots and wears a brown shoulder bag. He also has a long green scarf, and has an organge Pokémon watch on his left arm.
"Hello! My name is Kagami Itsuki and she is ....Itsuki was interrupted by Barry's sudden outburst.
"It's really Cynthia."

Cynthia and Itsuki looked at each other and then looked at Barry. "You know her?" Itsuki asked.
Barry nodded his head and looked at Cynthia like he was looking at his idol. Itsuki swears he could see glowing stars in Barry's eyes. "Of course I know her. Last year, Cynthia had participated in the one of the Rookie Pokémon Competitions. Cynthia won the competition and also won the hearts of thousands of people in that city."

Itsuki looked at Cynthia for further explanation. "Last year, before I left Sinnoh league I participated in the competition and won. I was lucky to able to join the competition since the competition takes place in every 4 years. At that time I was a rookie trainer and managed to fit in the criteria needed to join the competition." Cynthia had look nostalgia.

Followed by Barry, Cameron with his Lucario also came towards Itsuki. "Itsuki, it's really good to see you here." Cameron knew Itsuki from his visit to Celadon city to challenge Erika for the rainbow badge.
"Cameron, it's good to see you too buddy." Cameron and Itsuki shook hands like old brothers.
"Let me introduce you to my friends. She is Cynthia and he is Barry and both are from Sinnoh region."

"Hello! My name is Cameron and I am from Unova region. This is my partner Lucario." Itsuki noticed that Cameron Lucario has managed to evolve and become stronger than before.
"Unova region, huh? I was planning on going to Unova region and join the Unova league after this. What about you guys?" Asked Barry. Cynthia didn't answer instead she looked at Itsuki. Cameron also looked at Itsuki since he had no plans on joining the Unova League for now.

"I don't know. I am not sure on which region I will go next. But I am thinking of taking a break. I am dead tired to training nonstop for an entire month. After my break I might enter the Kalos league who knows. We will see later."
