Chapter 124 - Indigo League; Cynthia vs Paul [Part 3]
[Aggron speed is not that fast. But its attacks and defense are comparable with a beginning 5th order Pokémon. So if Cynthia wants to win she would have to reply on her Pokémon's Agility.]

Aggron!
Aggron body glows white and multiple white rings of energy appear above and around it. Then, several large gray boulders come out of the ripples of energy and fall over the Milotic.
Boom!
The boulders directly appeared above Milotic's head and quickly fell on her body before Cynthia order her anything.

"Milotic??"
[What a surprise attack from Aggron. Milotic didn't even see the attack coming.]
When the dust cleared, Milotic had lost her unconsciousness, and half of her body was still buried by the boulder.
Cynthia was not disappointed by Milotic's defeat. Despite being a level 38 Pokémon she had defeated a level 39 and even had injured a level 40 Pokémon.

Cynthia was very proud of her Pokémon.
"Milotic you did a good job. Thank you." Milotic entire body turned into a stream of ted light and entered the Pokeball.
After giving the Pokeball to the medical team, Cynthia resumed the battle with another Pokémon.

Lucario!

"Rock Slide once again" Paul wanted to see how fast Lucario was so he tested the water with the same move.
Again several boulders appeared 5 meters above Lucario's head.
"Lucario use blaze kick"
Lucario jumped up towards the boulders as both of Lucario's legs were wrapped in a red hot flame.

Boom!!
Lucario easily destroyed the boulders which destroyed Paul's plan to learn more about his opponent.
"Lucario do as I told you to do." Lucario nodded his head and began to charge at Aggron.
"Stop Lucario by using Metal Sound." Paul wasn't going to let Lucario come near Aggron. He doesn't wish to fall for another of those traps set by Cynthia.

The metal sound created a loud sound wave that forced Lucario to stop running and Lucario had no choice but to hold his ears with his palms.
"Focus Blast"
Lucario somehow created a cyan sphere and fired it at Aggron.
Boom!
Aggron couldn't defend while using metal sound and took the attack. When the metal sound stopped Lucario continued to charge at Aggron.

"Lucario use Meteor Mash and Bone rush." Dark blue energy wrapped around Lucario which suddenly increased his speed. While a bone made out of white energy formed in his hand.
Lucario dashed towards Aggron and in a few moments was in front of Aggron.
"Aggron uses Double edge"
Boom!
Both Pokémon attacked each other with everything they got.

When the dust was cleared Lucario was lying on the ground while Aggron was heavily breathing and bleeding from many places on his body.
[Lucario is unable to battle.]
Lucario recalled Lucario and then gave Lucario to the medical team.
[At the beginning Paul was under Cynthia's pressure but now the whole situation has changed. Cynthia has lost her Pokemon while Paul only has lost one of his Pokémon.]

Spiritomb!
[Cynthia has chosen Spiritomb as her next Pokémon. It is said that Spiritomb is composed of 108 spirits, but could as well be the reason for its Pokédex number to be "108" referring to the 108 spirits.]

"Dark Pulse." A ball of purple rings of energy appears in front of Spiritomb's mouth. It then fires a beam of purple rings of energy at the Aggron from the ball.
"Aggron hurry up and use Rock tomb." Aggron becomes outlined in white energy and raises its head. Multiple gray rocks outlined in white energy then form around its head in the shape of a ring.

Aggron controlled the gray rocks to put them together in a way that formed a shield in front of Aggron.
The dark pulse attack hit the rock shield.
Boom!
Black smoke spread over the area as the rocks were destroyed by the attack. Cynthia was not going to let this kind of golden chance go to waste.

"Shadow Sneak" Cynthia kept her voice low so that only Spiritomb would hear her words.
Using the black smoke that covered the center area of the battlefield, Spiritomb's shadow appeared in front of Aggron.
"Now Shadow Ball." The sudden appearance of Spiritomb made Aggron panic. Even Paul was very surprised.
While Spiritomb without wasting even a single second fired 7 shadow balls at Aggron.

Everyone in the stadium heard another explosion coming from the smoke.

Despite being a Peak 4th order Pokémon, Aggron speed is level 39. Cynthia had an advantage in speed. She took complete advantage of Spiritomb speed and launched multiple shadow balls on Aggron.]

Paul at that moment felt very annoyed with the commentator's words. Each of the commentator's words was like spraying salt on his wounds.
Paul was very confident with Aggron and Aggron would be enough to defeat at least another Pokemon of Cynthia. But now both Paul and Cynthia had lost 2 of their Pokémon.
"Drapion come out"

Paul didn't even give a single glance at his Aggron who now was being taken away by the emergency team.
[Paul recalled his Drapion back. Earlier Drapion was trapped by Milotic and took some damage. So this battle will be a little tough for Drapion. Also, poison doesn't have much effect on Ghost types.]

"Drapion uses Pin Missile" Paul was already very annoyed with the words of the commentators. It's like those two were hired to talk against him.
Drapion fired white orbs trailing green streams of light at the opponent from its claws at Spiritomb.
"Spiritomb shadow sneak." Paul's face turned pale as he watched Spiritomb appear behind Drapion.

"Use dark pulse" Paul's hands trembled for a moment. Cynthia used the same move as she did before. Paul wasn't going to allow her to succeed.
"Drapion use night slash." Drapion turned around his head to use a nigh slash but before he could finish preparing his attack the dark pulse already had attacked him.

Boom!
Another explosion took place, bringing Drapion to its knees.
"Spiritomb another Dark pulse." at that moment Paul knew that his Drapion was out but he didn't want his Pokémon to leave without giving any damage to his opponent.
"Toxic Spikes"
Spiritomb fired a dark pulse once again. Even though Drapion was hit with Dark Pulse, he still fired the purple sphere that he managed to create at the last moment.

Boom!
The third explosion took place. Everyone knew that it was over for Drapion.
When the smoke cleared, the referee checked on Drapion and then declared.
[Drapion is unable to battle.]
Spiritomb also returned to Cynthia's side after defeating two Pokémon spiritomb was very happy.

[What a comeback by Cynthia. 5 minutes ago she was under pressure and had lost 2 of her Pokémon. But now she had turned things around by defeating two of Paul's Pokémon. Now Paul has 3 Pokémon left while Cynthia has 4 Pokémon left. The odds are in Cynthia's favor.] Paul felt extremely irritated by the commentator's words.
'I should calm myself. This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't lost my cool.' Paul ignored everything and closed his eyes as he took a deep breath.

'I am here to become stronger. My goal was never to win the Indigo League. This League is just the path that I have decided to walk on. My ultimate goal is to defeat my brother. Even though Cynthia was under Pressure, she was able to maintain her calm and turn things around. If she can do it, so can I.' Paul opened his eyes and then took out his next Pokémon.
Cynthia noticed something had changed about Paul.

As the Pokeball opened with a 'click' sound. The whole stadium turned silent as no one was expecting this from Paul.
Roar!
A roar shook the walls of the stadium. A roar that increased the temperature of the battlefield. A roar that increased the pressure on Cynthia. And A roar that made everyone's blood boil in excitement.
