Chapter 157 - Soul Dew and DMA [II]
"Annie, let's revive some of the fossil Pokemon. We will need an army of Pokemon that could go against our enemies." Annie agreed with Oakley. Annie took the shiny fist-size green orb and put it on top of the triangular-shaped staff.
Swoosh!
It was like the triangular staff had returned to life. The green energy from the soul dew spread all over the triangular staff. Both Annie and Oakley could feel the energy that the soul dew had.

"Oakley, bring the fossils here." Oakley nodded and come back with the fossils that were displayed in the museum and some of the Pokemon fossils that both Annie and Oakley bought from the black market.
There were fossils of ancient and Powerful Pokemon. Oakley returned with 21 fossils. There were the fossils of Aerodactyl, Archeops, Tyrantrum, Charizard, Garchomp, Omastar, and Blaziken. All these Pokemon were super powerful and could easily stop even a 6th order Legendary Pokemon. If these Pokemon are revived then both Annie and Oakley will be unstoppable. The combined power of these Pokemon would be on City destroying Level.

Annie picked up the triangular staff that was 0.5 meters in length. She gently let the green energy from the DMA pass to the fossil of Garchomp.
Bang!
As soon as the green energy from DMA touched the fossil of Garchomp, the whole fossil greedily began to suck the green energy. As the life energy of the soul dew got used to reviving Garchomp, the green orb began to lose its power. A small crack appeared on the soul dew which both Annie and Oakley didn't notice.

The fossil began to move a little. Annie and Oakley watched the process as the bones were even fatter than before. Within a minute, the bones returned to their original healthy condition and skin was starting to form. The whole fossil was starting to take the shape of a Pokemon.
As the energy from the soul dew was sucked by Garchomp, the crack on the green orb began to expand. After 1 minute, one-fourth of the green shiny orb had cracked. If one were to look closely, then they would notice the green shine on the soul dew was disappearing. Now the soul dew shined a lot lesser compared to when the orb was picked up from the pond.

Another minute passed by, this time the fossil could no longer be described as a fossil. Since the whole fossil now had turned to look more like a Pokemon with dark blue skin forming and covering all the bones of the fossil.
Little did Annie and Oakley know, that what they were reviving was a Pokemon that had managed to reach 6th order. The more powerful a Pokemon was, the more energy of the soul dew was required to revive that Pokemon. The fossil of Garchomp was sucking more energy than ever so as to regain its original 6th order strength.

Crack!
"Annie, did you hear?" Oakley heard something which sounded similar to when a glass cracked. Annie shook her head as she was too excited to finally get a Garchomp of her own. "I think you're hearing things. No one would come to the museum at this time. Look here Oakely, a few more minutes and Garchomp will be completely revived. I bet this Garchomp will be more powerful than the one Indigo League Champion Cynthia has."
Both Annie and Oakley failed to notice the changes in the soul dew. The soul dew now shined a lot less and its color now had started to turn in silver. Now more than half of the green orb had cracked.

Another 1 minute passed. The fossil now actually looked like a Garchomp. The only thing that this Garchomp lacked was vitality which it was sucking from the soul dew.
The soul dew had reached its critical condition. More than 90 percent of the green orb had cracked. The soul dew had completely lost its green shine and now shined in silver and looked like the shine would disappear at any given second.
Annie and Oakley failed to notice the changes and both were excited to see Garchomp. "Oakley, Garchomp is about to come back to life."
Bang!

Annie and Oakley turned around hearing the glass shattering sound. Before both women could find out what was happening, a strong wind passed by them. The next moment the green shine on the triangular staff which was the DMA was lost.
Both Annie and Oakley widened their eyes seeing, Itsuki with Latias and Latios. Both girls clearly could feel how angry both Latias and Latios were. behind Isaac, Bianca was freeing her grandpa Lorenzo who also had regained his consciousness when Annie and Oakley got busy reviving Garchomp. Lorenzo couldn't do anything but shed tears as he watched how the core of Alto Mare lost its power because of these two witches.

Annie and Oakley noticed the soul dew which Latios held with a sad look. This soul dew held great importance to both Latias and Latios. Latios and Latia's father Latios used his life force to create the soul dew. The soul dew was the reason why the water level in Alto Mare remained the same and always fresh. Without the soul dew, there won't be Alto Mare anymore. The Alto Mare name was given only when the soul dew provided water to the whole city.

Latias! [You both shall pay.] Latias let out a loud roar from her mouth. The next second everyone saw Latias appear behind the twin sisters. The scene was so bloody and brutal that Lorenzo didn't hesitate to cover Bianca's eyes as he felt like vomiting.
Latias used her psychic powers to tear every limb of the twin sisters. The twin sisters couldn't even scream and let out their agony as Latias had shut their mouths with psychic powers. Each time Latias tore a part of their body, both twin sisters would struggle fiercely and veins pop on their throats and neck. Both twin sisters' eyes turned red because of the pain they were experiencing.

Isaac noticed that there was no shred of mercy in Latias' eyes. Issac couldn't believe this was the same Latias who was known for being playful and kind to others. This Latias looked like a cold and ruthlessly Pokemon. This part of her wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone.
Seeing how torturous the entire process was, Itsuki was glad that he didn't bring Sabrina with him. Though Sabrina still has to regain her consciousness. The entire process lasted longer than 5 minutes. Each time Latias would tear one of their limbs, she would wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute before proceeding to tear another of their limbs. No one even thought of stopping Latias. Itsuki was sure that he would have done even worse if he was in Latias' position.

Based on how things were going, Isaac knew that Latios was now going to sacrifice his life to create another soul dew for the Alto Mare. Isaac didn't want the same event from the movie to take place. 'System, scan the soul dew and try to see if the soul dew is compatible with Aura.'
[Master, after scanning I think you can help with the temporary restoration of the soul dew....] Isaac observed Latios who had a sad look and looked like he was ready to sacrifice himself for the great good.

"Latios, what are you doing?" Seeing Latios's body shine in blue light, Lorenzo who has been freed by his granddaughter asked Latios.
Latios! [Lorenzo, the soul dew has almost lost all of its powers. I have to use my spirit to restore the soul dew's powers and make Alto Mare alive once again.] Latios communicated using his telepathy.
Latias who just had finished torturing both Annie and Oakley and had bought them to death, come to Latios after hearing her brother's words.

Latias! [Brother, there has to be another way right?] Latios was Latias only family. She didn't wish to lose her only family.
Latios! [I have to do this just like our father did all those centuries ago.] Saying that Latios was about to put his spirit on the soul dew but then Itsuki's words gathered all the attention on him.
"I think I can temporarily restore the soul dew's power." Hearing Itsuki's words, Latios stopped glowing in blue light. Everyone's eyes shined in hope as they looked at Itsuki. If possible, both Lorenzo and Bianca didn't wish to see Latios sacrifice himself.

"Given the amount of Aura I have in my body, I should be able to temporarily restore the soul dew's powers. By temporarily, I meant 5 years. After 5 years, the soul dew will lose its powers again. With my current Aura, I can only restore about 5 percent of the soul dew's powers. 5 years later, I can just return and recharge the soul dew. Or I can just keep charging the soul dew every once in a while till the soul dew's power is restored to 100 percent."

Hearing Itsuki's words, Latias couldn't hold back her emotions. She instantly appeared in front of Itsuki and then transformed into her human form. Latias didn't waste any time hugging Itsuki, not caring about the fact that all the blood that was spilled from tearing Annie's and Oakley's body parts were now getting Itsuki's clothes dirty.
Latias wrapped her arms around Itsuki's neck. Her eyes had turned moist from overwhelming emotions. "Itsuki, can you do it?" This time Itsuki, Lorenzo, and Bianca remained shocked to hear Latias talk in her human form.

Latios wasn't that surprised. Both brother and sister had learned to speak the human language a long time ago. But Latios preferred to communicate using telepathy while Latias didn't prefer to talk with anyone. Latias mostly used sign language to communicate. Latios wondered what really happened that made his little sister talk with Itsuki.
Now was not the time to be shocked. As everyone had an important matter to settle. Itsuki hugged her back feeling the wetness on his right shoulder. Itsuki guessed Latias must have been shedding tears of joy.
Which sister wouldn't be happy if their big brother could get the chance to live?
