Chapter 177 - Kalos region first gym battle [I]

Next day,

"Say, what happened yesterday?" Currently, Itsuki and Sabrina were walking toward the Santalune City Gym after having breakfast together.

"Did someone attack you or what?"

"Nothing major happened. I fought a wild Pokemon. In the process of killing it, some blood got on my T-shirt. Other than that, I also managed to break into the next rank." Itsuki purposely didn't tell Sabrina about the alchemy stuff. He wanted to keep her away from this mess.

While walking amidst the crowd, Isaac and Sabrina had to hide their faces by wearing black hoodies. Apparently, Sabrina had bought these hoodies when she was coming to the Kalos region. She wanted to wear matching clothes just like other couples did.

Itsuki had no problem with wearing a black Hoodie. In fact, he liked hoodies but he very rarely wore them.

"You managed to break through the next rank. No wonder I felt something had changed about you." Previously Itsuki had told Sabrina lots of things about Aura and how Aura worked.

"Now that you have reached Aura prince rank, you're only one rank away from reaching the Peak. I can't even begin to imagine how strong you will become then."

"I am not sure either. But it would be safe to assume that when I reached Peak I can even defeat almost every legendary Pokemon out there." Even the current Itsuki was stronger was Latias and Latios. With some more training, Itsuki was sure that he would be able to defeat Articuno as well.

While chatting, both Itsuki and Sabrina reached the entrance of the Santalune City Gym. Seeing the door of the gym closed, both Itsuki and Sabrina assumed that Santalune City gym was closed today.

Viola, the gym leader of Santalune City Gym Leader and a Bug-type trainer. Viola is a slim young woman of medium height. She has blonde hair cut in a chin-length bob that curls under, with two slightly longer, thin locks which hand in front of her ears, green eyes, and a pale complexion. She wears a white vest, greyish-green cropped pants with lots of pockets and a white belt, brown ankle boots with laces that match her trousers, and a matching sweatband on her left wrist. She also walks around with a camera.

Since this beautiful woman had offered to take their picture and that is also for free, how can Sabrina miss something like this.

"Itsuki, let's take a picture together." Sabrina without waiting for Itsuki's response excitedly removed the hood that was covering her face. When her face was uncovered, the woman for a moment showed a look of various emotions. The woman was surprised, a little jealous, and stunned by how beautiful Sabrina looked. The woman wasn't expecting this girl to be so beautiful and charming.

"I have to admit, you're really lucky to have someone like her as your girlfriend. Seeing someone this beautiful is something very rare." Sabrina felt really sweet when the woman called Itsuki and Sabrina a couple. Seeing her happy look, Itsuki inwardly sighed and decided not to correct the Santalune City gym leader.

"Before we start the fight, can I still take both of your pictures?" Itsuki nodded and moved closer to Sabrina.

"Please don't upload our pictures on social media." Viola understood and respected Itsuki's privacy. She happily agreed with Itsuki.

"For a perfect picture, I think you two should move a little closer to each other." As Itsuki moved closer to Sabrina, he noticed that for some reason the Saffron city gym leader looked really shy right now which gave her a cute look.

'I guess it wouldn't hurt to be bold this time.' With a smile on his face, Itsuki suddenly pulled Sabrina towards him. Before Sabrina could understand what was happening, Itsuki wrapped his right arm around her soft and curvaceous waist. Making sure that the left side of her body was touching against his right side, Itsuki with a smile on his face used his left hand to gently pull her chin to make the embarrassed Sabrina look into his eyes.

"Perfect"

"Absolutely Perfect shot."

"This is one of the best pictures I have ever taken in my life."

"Itsuki please don't move" Viola spoke in a pleading tone. She then began to capture images from different angles.

While Viola was taking their pictures, Sabrina's cheeks were flushed red giving her a cute and adorable look. She felt she could lose herself looking at those deep black eyes and his flirtatious smile. Sabrina at that moment had completely fallen for Itsuki's charm. There was something about Itsuki that made it extremely hard for her to move her eyes. When she looked into those deep black eyes, she felt her heartbeat increase in excitement.

After a moment, Itsuki let off her Sabrina making her snap out of her daze. When Itsuki did that, Sabrina somewhere in her heart felt disappointed as she deeply wished time to stop at that moment.

"Can you please send me all these pictures later?" Inwardly Itsuki was very embarrassed as well. He didn't show it as he didn't want to look like some amateur chicken.

While Itsuki talked with Viola, Sabrina took this time to calm her beating her that was going wild. She took several deep breaths and slapped her cheeks to stop herself from blushing. This entire thing caught her off guard as a result she was taken surprised. Sabrina was not expecting Itsuki to do something like that.

Sabrina has noticed that Itsuki has changed from that day. That day when Sabrina was about to die, from that moment Itsuki started showing signs that he also cared about her. Sabrina was very happy to see that Itsuki was finally responding to her feelings. This was not a one-sided push anymore.

"I can't believe how good you two looked. Itsuki, you looked like a playboy while your girlfriend was the shy girl. You two are a perfect match for each other." Hearing Viola's words for a moment Itsuki's expression turned to a conflicted look. It was as if something was bothering him, making him hesitate and guilty.

This was not the first time Sabrina has seen that expression on Itsuki's face. Seeing that look on his face, she could tell that something was stopping Itsuki from moving toward and openly expressing his feelings.

"Now that you have taken our pictures, shall we start this battle? I want to win my first Kalos region badge." Itsuki said those words as he was increasingly feeling guilty.

Viola noticed something was wrong with Itsuki. As an intelligent woman, she decided not to say anything and lead Itsuki to the battlefield.
