"Not bad. Milotic, it's time to get things a little colder. Use ice beam." Milotic opened her mouth as a white orb of light formed in her mouth. There was faint blue lightning constantly flickering around the white orb.
Seeing the Milotic almost about to fire an ice beam, Grant reacted quickly. "Ancient Power" Tyrantrum's body glowed white when the glow comes off its body and forms a silver ball on the mouth.
Right after Milotic fired her attack, Tyrantrum also launched his attack in response.

The collision between two attacks caused the air to move away producing a strong shockwave. "What a power" Even though Itsuki was standing almost 30 meters away, he still could feel the power in both Pokemon's attacks.
"Since Tyrantrum had to launch the attack quickly, his attack couldn't reach full power otherwise the result of two attacks might have been very different."

Ignoring the black smoke that temporarily blinded both challenger and gym leader, Cynthia ordered Milotic to carry on with the battle.
"Milotic use Hydro Pump"
Taking a deep breath, Milotic let out a powerful blast of water in Tyrantrum's direction. Grant who still couldn't see Milotic because of the smoke that was acting as a barrier in the middle of the battlefield felt something. When he narrowed his eyes, he saw a powerful stream of water coming out of the smoke and hitting Tyrantrum's gigantic body.

The hydro pump was powerful enough to make Tyrantrum fall on its knees. Being a rock-type Pokemon, the hydro pump did some serious damage to Tyrantrum.
Seeing that Tyrantrum's body has fallen to the ground, Cynthia was not going to let go of such a chance. "Milotic, ice beam"

With its heavy body, Tyrantrum wasn't able to get up in time. The ice beam hit Tyrantrum and froze its entire body in ice.

After an entire minute, when the ice broke into pieces, Tyrantrum was already unconscious.

"It's a Crustle, I wasn't expecting to meet one here." Itsuki took out his Pokedex to pretend that he was going to scan Crustle but in reality, he was just going to check its stats and moves with the system.
"I got Crustle back in the days when I was also traveling around the world." Grant replied with a nostalgic smile.

Crustle is a red and brown colored crab-like Pokémon with a large block of stone that resembles a sedimentary rock on its back that it uses as a shell. The rocky shell is striped with various shades of brown and orange. Its body is red-orange, and it has six small legs, as well as two large front claws. Like its pre-evolution, Dwebble, Crustle can come out of its shell.

[Crustle can survive for long periods without water, which is often scarce in their arid habitats. They dislike direct contact with the substance, retreating beneath their shells during even light rains. To fashion their shells, Crustle will carve blocks of dirt and stone from the solid earth directly beneath their feet. They are highly territorial and will compete with nearby Crustle for control of choice swathes of land. When fighting for territory, Crustle will attempt to shatter the shells of their opponents. Competitors with broken shells relinquish all of their lands; they also become timid and weak, as they are unable to defend themselves until they can build new shells. Because Crustle carve their shells from the ground within their domains, Crustle from different areas will often sport rocks with differently-colored strata. Crustle appear to be able to distinguish foreign and native visitors from each other based on these alternately-colored layers. Though they dislike confrontation, their claws are strong enough to crack a Rhyperior's carapace, and they will wield them fiercely if they feel their shells are threatened.]

'Who I should use in this battle? I don't want to reveal Zeraora's powers in front of Cynthia. I plan on revealing Zera's powers in the Kalos League. Also when it comes to combat and battle experience, Zeraora has plenty of experience. So I think it would be wise to choose another Pokemon. Latias is out of the question since she is one of my trump cards and she is too powerful for Crustle. Dragonite also can defeat the battle in a single attack. I don't want to end the battle just with a single attack. I will use Slyveon as her level was the lowest in my group.'

"Crustle start the battle with Rock Wrecker" Crustle held out its claws as a small stone with red edges began to grow in size. Each second the stone continued to grow in size. In the end, when the stone turned into a huge boulder of 8 meters big, Crustle threw the boulder at Sylveon.

Despite looking this big, the boulder moved very fast.
"Syverson, use quick attack."

Just before the boulder could hit Sylveon she disappeared like the wind. Both Grant and Crustle lost Slyveon. Both trainer and Pokemon couldn't find where Sylveon exactly was.

"Now use moon blast"
Grant widened his eyes in shock when seeing a shadow appearing behind Crustle. When he looked clearly, Grant saw Sylveon launching a purple-shaped sphere at Crustle from behind.
Bang!
Crustle took a direct hit. But Itsuki knew Crustle wouldn't go out this easily as Crustle specialized in defense.

"Now use double team." During these 3 months, Itsuki has been training Sylveon in increasing her speed. Sylveon's real strength lay in her agility. The current Sylveon had the speed of a level 44 Pokemon. Even though Crustle's level was higher than Sylveon's, it lacked in speed. Itsuki just took advantage of that and use that speed against Crustle.
"This battle was already over when you missed your first attack."
