28. Power of the Inferno Element.
As he was being completely engulfed in motes of lights, Sunny heard some steps coming near his position. About sixty meters away from him.
The approaching steps stopped after 2 sec. Then, they started sprinting towards Sunny's location.
An Antican party of four members appeared at the fight scene. All of them had a black-flame pattern with three branches on their mandibles. Apart from an injured, half-dead Antican lying on the ground with some dried blood and the traces of previous fights, nothing was present.
The Antican party approached the half-dead Antican and then one of them bent forward and examined the half-dead Antican while tapping on its various body parts with its antennae.
After confirming that it can be saved, the Antican party of four lifted up the half-dead Antican and carried it towards the direction of their colony.
Inside the colony, the Antican party of four left the half-dead Antican in a bathtub size container filled with light green liquid. The container was located in a small cave room. There was a total of 5 such containers present in the room.
After dumping the half-dead Antican into the container, the Antican party of four left the small cave room or more specifically a healing and nursing room.
A few seconds after the party left, the half-dead Antican slowly came out of the container, careful to not make any disturbing noise.
After coming out of the container, it sat up near it and let the light green liquid slide down into the ground. A few moments later, it took out a vial filled with light gray liquid and quickly chugged down all of its content.
The half-dead Antican's presence started decreasing in a few seconds.
'Hmm... I am inside the colony. Now, just have to use the [Treasure Locater] (Replica), take the item and run.' Sunny thought to himself.
When the motes of light engulfed him earlier, it was actually shapeshifting his human body to an Antican body. The token he crushed before the shapeshifting process started was [Corpse Disguise]-C.
You have to drench the token in a just dead creature's blood before it disintegrates and then crushes it. The token must also be bound to a user by blood.
Sunny had dropped some of his blood on it after buying it. Upon crushing the token the user will be molded to look like the dead creature for 1 hour. This token was one of the most expansive C-grade below level 30 items, priced at 450 Gold Coins.
Sunny took out a silver-blue colored compass which had a small red ball of light in the center. It is an item called [Treasure Locator] (Replica) that can sense an item above C grade in 200 meters of its vicinity upon activation.
This item [Treasure Locator] (Replica) is only of C-Grade sold at the price of 500 Gold Coins by the Cycadlike Treasure Chamber. According to what Sunny remembers, the original [Treasure Locator] is of SSS grade capable of sensing any SSS grade and above treasure in a radius of around 10,000 kilometers.
Furthermore, [Treasure Locator] (Replica) can only be used a total of 5 times while [Treasure Locator] didn't have any such restriction.
Sunny pressed the switch on the compass' backside. The red ball of light in the compass started roaming in circles and then came back to the center. It then morphed into an arrow and pointed toward one direction.
He then roamed in the colony's many passages by following the direction of the arrow. If he went far from the treasure, the arrow would dim and if he went near it would glow with more intensity.
He also met some other Anticans in the passages. Most of them ignored him due to his low presence after consuming the [Stealth Potion]. The main reason was they were getting the smell of their kin from him.
Few came closer to investigate, to see if he has the black flame pattern on suspecting him because of his low presence.
Sunny ignored them and continued searching for the item's location. He knows that apart from this Antican colony's Queen no other Antican will be able to see through his disguise for one hour.
He found the item located by the [Treasure Locator] (Replica) after searching for 7 minutes. Most of his time was wasted traversing the complicated passages. But, the item he got was not what he came for.
He got a B rank herb instead. [Dark Silver Grass] to be exact. He stored it in his inventory and again used the [Treasure Locator] (Replica).
This time the locater took him close to the Queen breeding chamber. Sunny quickly back away from the passage leading there. It was easily identifiable due to the presence of dried egg mucus on the passage. After backing way for more than fifty meters he again activated the locater.
This time, he reached a treasure room of sorts. But unlike Gobuta's secret treasure stash where everything was dumped together, the contents inside the room were properly organized.
On one corner, a pile of Gold Coins can be seen. Then numerous herbs properly arranged on a shelf, the number of tokens kept on another shelf, etc. In the center of the room, a black-colored hexagonal token was kept on top of a stone podium. On its surface, it was marked with six supreme characters adjacent to each side of the hexagon.
The treasure room wasn't guarded by any means. After all, the Anticans are a race that thinks for their colony and race only. No one among them would think of getting something that belongs to the colony. Even if any of them takes anything from inside, they can't take it out of the colony without being seen. Alas, they don't know anything about players' inventory.
Players really are a bunch of broken characters for the NPC of pocket dimension.
Well, they just made it easier for Sunny to rob them. In fact, the biggest reason Sunny took this risky approach was that he knew about their characteristic thoroughly. Players are a weird bunch. Give them some time and they will come up with 100 ways to rob an emperor clean.
Thirty-seven minutes had already passed since Sunny crushed the [Corpse Disguise] token. Hence, he hurried inside and put the black-colored token first in his inventory.
The next thing to disappear into his inventory was the pile of Gold Coins. After that, the tokens were also swept away.
Then, he made his way to exit without glancing at the other riches inside the treasure room. To enjoy his loots he would have to stay alive first.
*KRRREEEEEEEEEE*
As he neared the exit a loud screech resounded out from deep inside the Colony.
*KIIYYYYAAAAAARRRRAAAAAAAAAAA*
A louder and authority-filled screech followed after it. The colony was dead silent for a few seconds before every Antican of the colony rushed toward the direction of the breeding chamber.
Sunny was stuck inside a depression on the passage walls and watched as numerous Antican zoomed past him. As Sunny was not attacked yet, the effects of the [Stealth Potion] were present which led the Antican to ignore his faint existence in front of their Queen's urgent summon.
After the last Antican rushed inside, Sunny came out of the depression and sprinted outside. He quickly reached the deserted colony exit.
After coming outside, he opened the map function, checked the direction, and then resumed his sprint towards the outer zone. There are still eleven minutes left before the duration of his Antican disguise ends.
Just when he reached some 157 meters away from the colony, the ground behind him began shaking. He glanced behind him and witnessed hundreds of Antican charging out of the colony and spreading in all directions.
Behind the hundreds of Anticans, an Antican particularly bigger than the others also came out. After exiting, it directly looked in Sunny's direction and...
*KIIIRRRRAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAA*
Immediately, the Anticans that were spreading in all directions began to chase him.
Sunny took his wand in his right hand and aimed behind him without looking. He then softly muttered. *Small Inferno Wave*
*whoosh~*
A torrential amount of bright blue fire began gushing out from the tip of the wand and spread behind him in a cone shape with a height of ten meters and three meters radius.
Although the effective range of *Small Inferno Wave* was small, due to its overwhelming power all the trees and bushes nearby started to catch fire. The moisture in them helped little in preventing the fire from spreading.
The chasing Anticans stopped upon witnessing the fire blocking their path. The Queen Antican again screeched angrily and all the Anticans hurried to flank around the fire.
Sunny didn't stop to see the result of his skill. He knows how powerful the Inferno element is from watching the rich second-generation player decimating an entire A-Class guild alone in the future.
Sunny just have one skill now. That rich second-generation player was seen spamming several Inferno elemental skills and the carnage that followed was mind-blowing.
With just 1 powerful element, he was that strong. How much stronger Sunny will become when he has three such powerful elements?
