30. Blood-Tears Contract.

Sunny knew that Hua Chen obviously wouldn't agree to his request directly. But, he also knew a way to make him accept his request.

Sunny said in a slightly loud voice as Hao Chen was closing the courtyard door, "Fire Wyvern: Aakayrim."

*BANG*

Hua Chen opened the door with so much force that it broke into pieces. He then came in front of Sunny really fast, grabbed his collar, and yanked him down to his own height before shouting in Sunny's face, "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT F*CKING PIECE OF SH*T??!!!!"

'Fast! I didn't even manage to see him move.' Sunny thought in his mind and calmly said, "Can we talk inside?"

Hua Chen came out from his extreme state of anger and calmed down. He released Sunny and looked around. Most NPC who noticed the commotion ignored it and attributed the situation to Hua Chen's drunkard nature. Few people were watching the show, but they dispersed the moment Hua Chen looked at them.

Hua Chen then squinted his eyes at Sunny for a few moments. He didn't manage to spot any malicious intent, nor any signs of nervousness. All he saw was an indifferent and polite smile.

"Come in." Hua Chen beckoned Sunny inside in a heavy voice.

Sunny followed him inside the house and looked around. Just a plain 1 room-kitchen house. Apart from the living necessities like a bed, utensils, water tank, etc., the only noteworthy thing was an exquisite hammer on a wall that was supported by some nails.

Hua Chen brought a small stool from the kitchen and set it in the middle of the room. He then closed the door and windows before sitting on the bed.

He gestured to Sunny to sit on the stool. Sunny nodded and sat on it.

"So, would you mind telling me how you know that name? And how much do you know about me?" Hua Chen asked with a suppressed voice.

Sunny shook his head and veins began to bulge out from Hua Chen's head. Sunny unhurriedly said, "Don't get angry, sir. What I meant to say is that I can't divulge anything about my source of knowledge. It's a taboo subject for me.

"As for how much I know about you, just that you are an excellent blacksmith and hold a colossal amount of grudge against Aakayrim. You are the only blacksmith capable enough to complete my task."

Hua Chen didn't find anything wrong with the first part of his answer but he didn't completely believe the second part.

"You may know more than you are willing to say. You may even know some of my sensitive secrets. But, I won't do any blacksmithing. You should find another blacksmith for this job. Don't waste your time on me." Hua Chen said and stood up to escort Sunny out.

Sunny replied in the same unhurried way, "What if I offer you Aakayrim's head as payment for fulfilling my request?"

Hua Chen stood rooted on the spot for some time upon hearing his outrageous offer before bursting out in anger again. "ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?! YOU?! A weakling dares to think about killing the Fire Wyvern: Aakayrim?"

Sunny again said unhurriedly, "What if I sign a blood-tears contract with my Class on stake? I can guarantee you to deliver Aakayrim's head in six months."

This time instead of freezing from anger, Hua Chen froze from shock. Then he asked while stuttering, "A-are you s-sure? Y-you know the c-consequence of not completing the c-contract, right?"

Sunny nodded as he perfectly knew about all the details of such a contract.

A blood-tears contract is a contract that binds the contractee by their soul. Even a player can't break the contract by dying and respawning again. The contractee is required to use their blood to sign the contract along with a drop of tear from their eyes.

As the saying goes, 'Eyes are the window to the Soul.'

On top of that, keeping one Class as a stake is one of the highest possible stakes one can put in the contract. Upon violation of the contract, the violator will be stripped of his class and would never be able to go to Class Advancements.

Violators will be stuck for life on the level they were stripped of their class.

In the case of players, they also can't escape this penalty and their gaming career will end there as every player is only allowed to join the game VWPS once.

They can't enter again with an alternate account.

Hua Chen fell into deep thought. Slowly, an expression of anticipation rose on his face. He addressed Sunny, "If you can really do so, I am willing to complete your request no matter what it takes."

Sunny nodded and said, "You can prepare the contract, I will add in some details if required."

"Right!" Hua Chen went into the kitchen to prepare the contract. He came back a few moments later with a thick brown-colored paper that had words written in blood. The paper was a kind of beast skin that Sunny obviously didn't identify.

He passed the drafted contract to Sunny for checking the details.

Sunny read through the contract THRICE to make sure nothing was wrong with it. He even asked Aurora to check for any clause harmful to him apart from the Class stake.

Not finding any problem with it, Sunny nicked his right thumb with his teeth and signed at the bottom of the contract. Then, he poked his eyes slightly for a drop of tear and placed it in the middle of the contract.

Hua Chen did the same.

After he signed with his blood and placed his teardrop in the middle, the contract began to glow with golden light. It floated up and gradually disintegrated into light particles.

Just after that, Sunny received a notification from Aurora.

"Player Chaos 273 has signed a Blood-Tears Contract. Contract content is converted to a quest."

"1%, 2%, 3%, …, 99%, 100%."

"Player Chaos 273, please check your Quest Interface to see the details."

Sunny quickly opened his Quest Interface and noticed a new quest apart from the previous ten E-grade quests he completed back in Village #273.
