Second Chances 1.52

Viggo, Sakura and Ana had lost three days in Corinth. All of them eating, strolling, and having sex without Kiara's endless scolding. The second day was the worst of all, as they only stopped to eat, take a bath, or relieve themselves. So, on the third day they set out to be more demure and only did it three times. However, only on the fourth day did they leave Corinth and arrive in the afternoon at the port of Creusis in Boeotia, north of Athens. The place had a humble wooden pier that hopefully could receive one or two boats. From afar you could count about twenty houses while the streets were dirt. Once they entered the city, they approached the port to buy provisions and ran into trouble. Viggo always considers Sakura and Ana as cute and ideal girls but forgets a very important matter. They are daughters of Sparta.

At that time of day, Ana and Sakura wore red dresses that reached up to the taps and only showed their forearms. In addition, Sakura wore a quiver hanging from a cross rope to her chest while carrying a bow on her shoulder. On the other hand, Ana wore two long daggers tied to a belt. Both looked young, beautiful, and tempting. Much more so now that they were sexually active.

When Viggo walked into a store to buy some things and some guys approached the girls with more intentions than just talking. The fact is that Sakura kicked them out without giving them a chance to speak. The guys got angry and treated her like a whore. Sakura ignored them looking away, but when a guy wanted to take her by the right arm, Sakura pushed her arm away, closed her fist and punched her tremendously in the face. The guy fell to the ground with his jaw split and the others threw themselves on the girls to catch them.

The next instant, Viggo left the store carrying a sack of provisions, when he saw Ana jump up and kick a guy all over the face. Two yellowish teeth flew, and the guy fell unconscious. Viggo let out a sigh and looked at the other four guys lying on the ground.

-Shall we?- asked Viggo.

Ana and Sakura turned around and looked at him sternly. Viggo stepped back and they nodded with a clear expression of anger. After that they walked north and lost sight of everyone on Mount Helicon.

Two hours later, the three stood on the cliff of Mount Helicon that overlooked the sea. Sakura looked at the two islands in front, a small one heading west and a much larger one heading north.

-Must that be?- asked Sakura, pointing to the biggest one.

-That's right- said Viggo, his instincts were screaming that something weird was in that place -you just must get a boat-

-We're not going back to Creusis, are we?- asked Sakura frowning.

Viggo let out a chuckle and scratched his cheek -we can't- he said -after what happened I doubt the locals will take us to the island. On the other hand- he said, pointing about a thousand meters from where they were. There was a small wooden pier on the shore of the beach with a boat -that could help us. If it belongs to someone, we pay them and that's it. We are reasonable people, right?-

Ana and Sakura nodded with expression would be, understanding Viggo's bad joke. They both approached and kicked him in the taps.

Then they went down a slope to the beach and walked until they reached the pier. Then they went around looking for the owner of the boat, but since there was no one, they only took the boat and rowed for a hundred meters until they reached the island. Then they took the boat and pushed it to the beach.

-I don't think the current is going to take it, right?- asks Viggo looking at the sky, as if he wanted to calculate by the movement of the sun the moment when the tide rises. However, ignorance could more and pulled the boat much deeper into the beach.

Once ready they looked at the debris ahead and led to the top of a mountain. There was a staircase that ascended sideways in zigzag, more than ten meters high. In each of its corners were demolished stone pillars. Wooden pillars were also seen split in half, with some of their parts falling obstructing the staircase. Once they climbed the staircase, they found a cave with the walls in the middle of the mountain. The cave had the floor, ceiling and walls covered with carved stone forming a corridor ten meters long. They advanced for the first two meters and then had to jump avoiding a large hole in the floor through which wind was running. Once they reached the end of the aisle, they found an altar made of reddish wood and with the edges plated in gold plates. However, from the dirt and cobwebs in the corners of the hallway, they could say that this had long been abandoned.

Viggo and company went back down the road and went down the hole in the ground and found another corridor of about five meters. At the end of the corridor, you could see the light of day, so they kept moving forward and found a crater of great depth. They looked up and realized that the hill had the top open as if it were a volcano. Then they looked down and saw a large pool about twenty meters in diameter. The water was twenty meters deep from where Viggowas. On the other hand, there was a waterfall that fed the pool, therefore, the water looked crystal clear and turquoise, like the sea. However, what caught Viggo's attention the most was the strange obsidian stone scattered throughout the area, much like the stone from that temple he had seen in Muspelheim. Most of the obsidian stone was scattered at the bottom of the pool, as if it had constituted a kind of construction that eventually collapsed. At the same time, there were pieces of obsidian stone embedded in the walls.

-Let's go down using the fissures in the rock- said Viggo, Sakura and Ana nodded and followed them until they went down ten meters and found a 1-meter-wide ledge. Viggo stopped and looked at the waterfall that fed the pool in the background. He advanced along the sides of the ledge with great care and asserted himself to the stones that protruded from the wall with his right hand while, with the left, he held his axe. Once he reaches the waterfall, pass under it, soaking in the process and found a cave. He advanced to the bottom and saw a kind of black sarcophagus made of obsidian stone. He walked over, looked inside for a separation between the lid and the sarcophagus, and saw that it was empty. He let out a sigh and looked everywhere in search of something that would be useful. Then he found in a nook and cranny of the wall many gold coins, jewelry and boxes plated in gold.

Viggo smiled and heard the footsteps of Sakura and Ana. He turned and said to them, come on, this is good.

Both girls walked at a brisk pace and came to Viggo's side. They were shocked just like him and smiled.

-This is good, with this we can already buy a place of our own- said Sakura as if thinking about the future.

Viggo raised his eyebrow and thought there were many things that the girls did not know about him. He sat on the lid of the sarcophagus, put his axe aside and said -come here. I don't think it's the best place to say this, but it's better now than ever-

Sakura and Ana walked to the sarcophagus and sat on the obsidian stone lid.

-You see- said Viggo -I, well, I'm not a god, but I think I'm some kind of demi-god-

-Huh?! - both sisters said

Viggo smiled embarrassed and continuous -I know it sounds strange, but it's the truth. I live somewhere else far, far away. In a land where the gods walk among mortals...-

Then Viggo began to tell they about Orario and the tower of Babel. About his father, the tall white-haired elf and his mother, the goddess of forge. Viggo told them that he had been a disobedient son, so his father sent him to train far away so that he could understand the value of what he had. On the other hand, he explains their situation in Orario.

-So, you don't have to worry about money and stuff- Viggo said.

Sakura and Ana looked dazed looking towards the end of the cave, where the waterfall was visible, as the clash of water against the stone filled the silence.

-Viggo, I- said Sakura, bit her lip and looked him in the eye -I believe you, but this, this-

-I know- said Viggo -I know it sounds very unreal, but it's the truth. At some point you will see my real strength and I hope that none will be frightened-

-I wouldn't be scared- Sakura said, raising her voice, then she was quiet for a few seconds and continued in a soft tone -it's just that it's, it's incredible-

-I know- Viggo said, he passes his arm around Sakura's waist and attach to him. He kisses her forehead and say -I just want you to know and don't worry about the future. Whatever happens, I will take care of you forever-

-I, I, I don't want you to take care of me- Sakura said angrily -I want us to take care of each other-

Viggo smiled and gave a kiss on the lips. Then he looked her in the eye and said -then, it's much better-

Sakura smiled and kissed back. After that, Viggo looked at Ana, who still had a shocked expression.

-The master- said Ana, raising her face and looking Viggo in the eye -said it was good that we knew Viggo thoroughly. That we spent more time together, because maybe, when we discover his strength, we can be scared-

Viggo scratched his cheek and said something uncomfortable -maybe not. You see, I'm a bit violent when I fight-

Ana frowned and said -we are Spartans, Viggo. We grew up watching our grandparents, parents, uncles and siblings struggling day and night. We also received training just like the children, although it was for a short time, but don't underestimate us. We are not like those Athenian girls whose greatest aspiration in life is to marry. So, a little violence won't scare us-

Viggo looked at her seriously and nodded. Ana smiled at Viggo and gave him a kiss on the lips. Viggo also smiled and gave her the kiss back.
