Remnants of another Era 1.81

After managing to sell the mansion and ship, Semiramis paid to be transported to the island of Lemnos, located northeast of the island of Euboea. The trip was quiet, but as the ship lacked staterooms, it was a bit hard for Sakura. After arriving on the island, they rested for two days and embarked for the island of Lesvos, site of the last test of Viggo.

When the ship was arriving at the port of Ereso, in Lesvos, it was five o'clock in the afternoon and a semi-cloudy sky with a strong swell was visible. Viggo had stepped out onto the deck to make sure the ship would arrive safely at the dock. In the distance you could see a city on the edge of the beach and surrounded by large stone walls. However, what caught Viggo's attention was the large group of warriors along the pier. All had an appearance like that of the other Misthians found in Knossos, Mesara region. They wore bronze breastplates, wore untidy beards, and dishevelled hairs, some had quirky ornaments like a bull skull like shoulder pads.

Viggo's instinct immediately screamed, and he ran to the cellar where the girls were resting. He went downstairs and walked at a brisk pace until he reached the cellar -The Bag- said in a powerful voice.

-What's going on?- asked Semiramis, sitting on a pile of straw.

-There are a lot of misthios in the port. Now, the bag-

Semiramis unbuttoned the belt bag with trembling hands and threw it away. Viggo caught it in the air and put his hand inside the bag. Then he thought of his axe and could feel the handle with his fingertips. He took the handle and pulled the axe out of the bag. Then he threw the bag back to Semiramis and looked at Ana -you stay here protecting the rest. It should be relatively easy as there is only one entry. As soon as you feel that someone is coming for you, you kill them, period. Don't let more than one or two get together, understand?-

-Understood- said Ana, sitting on a pile of straw. She stood up and unsheathed her daggers.

Viggo nodded and turned around to go outside. He went upstairs, advanced to the deck and looked again at the Misthians standing in the harbour. By that time, the ship was fifty meters from the dock. At the same time, the crew that was maneuvering to dock, noticed that the red-haired boy had pulled out a beautiful axe, with intricate runic engravings and golden stripes. An object for which many generals would pay many drachmas. The ship stuck to the dock, and many wanted to approach Viggo to ask him where he had gotten the axe. All they had to do was indict him for theft and the rest of the crew, corroded by greed, would intimidate him. However, before any sailor could say anything to Viggo, the misthians of the pier raised their bows to the sky and shot arrows indiscriminately.

-Attack!- shouted one of the sailors who saw one of his companions fall with an arrow stuck in his head. The rest reacted by running to find their swords and shields while dodging the arrows.

For his part, Viggo hid behind the ship's one-meter-high board made of wood. Once the arrows stopped, Viggo jumped overboard and fell on the dock. Then he ran in the direction of the Misthians and they drew their swords, others prepared their battle axes and ran to intercept him.

Viggo advanced along the dock and when his first enemy arrived, the guy raised his sword to attack, but Viggo was quicker and opened his chest with an axe. Then Viggo continued to advance and ran into two misthios, which threw swords at him one after another, as if they were coordinated. Viggo stepped back with skillful footwork as he dodged. Once he understood the attack pattern, he saw an opportunity and let them attack once again. When they launched a new vertical cut, Viggo moved to the side, almost to the edge of the pier and raised his width with both hands, then unloaded it in a quick movement and cut off the arm of one of them. The misthios lost his arm and the other attempted to attack the Viggo. However, Viggo moved to one side and cut off his arm just like the other. In that way, Viggo advanced along the pier, leaving arms, legs, and pinkish entrails on all sides. The wet wooden spring turned red, and the fetidity to blood and visors immediately attracted the seagulls.

Before long, Viggo had finished with more than twenty misthios while he had covered himself with their blood. With his great physique, his shoulder-length red hair and axe he looked wilder than ever.

Viggo checked the surroundings for more enemies, but since he felt no more threats, he looked towards the ship, where the sailors looked at him scared to death. Viggo seemed immovable, like the god of war himself. He advanced with the assurance of the one who can overcome anyone, as if swearing to the heavens that anyone who crossed his path would die. So, when he jumped from the dock to the ship and climbed onto the deck, the sailors pointed their guns at him as they backed away. However, since no one attacked him, Viggo ignored them and just kept walking to the cellar. He got lost for a few minutes in which no sailor wanted to go down to see what was going on. Once Viggo returned to the deck, he had wiped his blood and carried a purple-haired girl in his arms while she held the axe. Behind him followed him was the beautiful dark-haired woman, the other woman who was always covered in a dark robe, and a beautiful purple-haired girl like the girl in her arms.

-Put up the plank- Viggo said in an authoritarian voice. All the sailors were blank, but when Viggo looked them in the eye and roared his order again, they immediately moved and placed the plank. In that way, the sailors connected the deck with the dock and Viggo and his group advanced between blood, limbs, and entrails.

-Viggo- said Semiramis as she advanced along the pier and covered her mouth with her hand, holding the disgust provided by the dead and severed limbs.

-It's not time for questions, just go ahead and stay alert, there may be more enemies that we haven't seen- he replied.

Viggo guided the girls through the pier, they went out to the city market and there they quickly bought three horses. Viggo rode carrying Sakura in his arms, Semiramis got on another horse and Ana climbed with Scheherezade hugging her from the waist. Once Viggo checked the surroundings, they galloped out of town before the city's polis intercepted them and gave them trouble.

Once they left the city, Viggo saw that in the north rose a large rocky mountain and bet that this was the place Kiara had spoken of. So, Viggo indicated to the girls the way and they all continued galloping until they reached a dirt road next to a slope that came down from the mountains. That road extended northeast until it reached the base of a gorge with solid rock walls on each side. The road looked dark and little traveled, but Viggo told them that was the right way.

Half an hour later, Viggo knew that he had traveled the right way, as fog was rising all over the place. The walls of the gorge opened and gave way to a misty valley. It could only be seen within the range of fifty meters, the rest was hidden by the fog.

Viggo stopped his horse and looked at Sakura who was in his arms. She gasped as large beads of sweat ran down her from the fever. Apparently, the ride and gallop on horseback had made her worse. As they were still at the entrance of the misty valley, Viggo approached a rock wall and got off the horse. He then took Sakura in his arms and took her off the horse.

-A blanket please- Viggo said as he looked at Sakura in his arms.

They all got off their horses, Ana approached Semiramis, and she took out a blanket from the bag. Ana took it and ran to where Viggo was. He stretched out the blanket, spread it on the ground and laid Sakura down.

-Scheherezade, please- said Viggo.

Scheherezade already prepared with a bag of medicine, walked to Sakura, and began to check it.

At the same time, Viggo walked to Semiramis and told her -take out a jug with water, meals, blankets and try to protect yourself-

-What about you?-

-I'm going to end up tired, so I'll have to rest anyway. Don't worry- said Viggo, passing by Semiramis, she looked at him and saw him stop five meters from her. Then she saw him perform that mysterious magic.

Viggo stopped with nothing but air in front of him and raised his right hand. Then he extended his index finger and stabbed the air, then a bright light appeared at the tip of his finger, and he drew a diagonal line, from right to left and connected it with another diagonal line, but this time from left to right. In this way a character unknown to Semiramis was formed and hear Viggo say -Kenaz-(<)

The wind swirled around Viggo and after a few seconds scattered like a gentle breeze spreading the fog everywhere. Within seconds, Viggo rested his hands on his knees and gasped as if he had run a big marathon.

-We must leave- said Viggo between gasps -there are, immortals later-

-Can't you do something?- asked Scheherezade as she lifted Sakura with one hand and gave her a powdered medicine to drink with the other.

-No, there are many, more than a hundred- said Viggo -I can defend myself, but they can reach them-

Viggo let out a long sigh of tiredness as a long drop of sweat ran down his forehead. He sat on the floor, looking forward in case someone came to meet him. The immortals were supposed to be more than three hundred meters ahead, hidden in a kind of giant forest, where the trunks and roots grew crooked.

At the same time, Semiramis approached Viggo and hugged him from behind.

Viggo smiled and asked her with a smile and a half jokingly -Don't you go and tell me to leave you here alone, right?-

Semiramis rested her face on Viggo's back, shook her head and felt the warmth of his skin -would you, do it?- she asked.

-Never- replied Viggo with a bold smile, holding his right hand on his shoulder and looking for Semiramis' hand. Once he found her, he put the back of his hand to his mouth and kissed her delicately -quiet, they are far away, as long as we never approach us-

-Okay, I'll believe in you-

-Wow- said a playful female voice producing an echo. The girls were immediately put on alert; only Viggo smiled.

-Where did you go playing all this time?- asked Viggo as he straightened his back. The girls looked at him somewhat confused. However, Viggo looked at the fog and began to search for the object of his desire with all his strength.

-Jealous?-

-Never, but I needed you-

-You praise me- said Kiara, appearing in the fog dressed in her white robes, her fuchsia underwear, and those huge obsidian horns.

-I tell the truth- replied Viggo with a big smile and on his way to meet her fascinated by that captivating smile. Once they came in front of each other, they looked at each other's faces for a few seconds. Viggo found her as beautiful as ever. Leaving aside the quirky obsidian horns and those runestone marks, everything in her was perfect. From her dark hair, her yellow-pupil eyes, her oval face, her stylized nose, and those thick cherry lips. Not to mention that slender neck, collarbone, and those huge breasts the size of melons. Her skin looked smooth all over her body, while on her breasts she looked soft like a marshmallow.

-Viggo, I've missed you too- Kiara whispers with a captivating smile.

Viggo walked over, put his hands on her hips, and kissed her. Kiara hung herself on Viggo's neck and kissed him. The exchange was smooth first and then frantic as if they wanted to eat each other's mouths. However, a cough interrupted them.

Viggo kept kissing Kiara but opened his eyes and looked back. Then he noticed that Semiramis was looking at him full of annoyance. So Viggo began to stop their kisses, until he gave her a final one and separated from Kiara.

-Sorry, there are other priorities- Viggo said with an uncomfortable smile.

-I know- Kiara replied with a pleasant smile as she touches the tip of her nose with Viggo's. Then she separated from Viggo and walked past Semiramis -ma! You look pretty good, my dear-

Semiramis felt her eyebrows throbbing, but instead of fighting with this sex demon, she just nodded. Kiara let out a chuckle that irritated Semiramis, but she clenched her fists to avoid fighting.

Kiara arrived in front of Ana, who knelt in front of her and Scheherezade stood up and bowed -I see that they also look better than before- she said -well, except Sakura, who had an accident, right?-

-Yes, master- said Ana -it was our indulgence and little foresight, we are sorry-

-Don't worry, I would never let this happen to adults. For the next one, avoid feelings clouding your judgment-

-Yes, I will remember it and engrave it in my heart-

Kiara nodded, looked at Sakura who was sleeping thanks to Scheherezade's medicines. Then she ran her hand through the air as if passing it through Sakura's body and nodded -ready- she said – once she wakes up, she will be like new. I must say that you did a great job Scheherezade. Not only did you avoid the worst ending, but you knew how to stabilize Sakura and keep her in the best possible state. You have my recognition-

-These are too kind words coming from you-

-Well, done that- said Kiara, she turned around and looked in the direction of Viggo, but far beyond, where the fog was getting thick -it's time to put in his place a little emperor who went out of his head fumes-
