Family and Goddess 2.182

Rosewisse, Sakura, Ana and Viggo as part of the Bishamon family, left the dungeon at eight o'clock in the afternoon, when the sky was turning orange. In the square, just outside the dungeon, the adventurers were gathering after a day of work and preparing to go and exchange the monster stones so they could celebrate.

However, all conversations stopped when they saw Viggo, and his party leave the dungeon. The vast majority were fascinated by Rosewisse's wings and beauty. The rest looked resentfully at the group for what happened two days ago, when Rosewisse took care of his magic to drive them away.

-Hey, you brat- yelled an old man dressed in a Greek robe, white hair, and beard. At first glance he looked like an angry old man, but the veterans knew him by his name, Zeus. That old man made his way through the crowd, walked directly to Viggo, and stopped, preventing him from passing.

Viggo stared at him indifferently. He knew him as the god of Maxim's family. The latter was one of his father's disciples who sought him out from time to time, but he was unlucky enough to be stubborn. Kain had told him that Maxim had inherited the temperament of Romulus, his adoptive father and former captain of the Zeus family. The fact was that Maxim, as annoying as Zeus was, never reneged against him. On the other hand, Zeus, the god of the family, was a garbage of the worst kind. Everyone in Kain's house had warned Viggo not to associate with him, especially his aunt Hera, nothing good would come out of it. Viggo himself could now see clearly what they meant. The old man looked at him, but his eyes wandered from here to there, staring at Rosewisse, Sakura and Ana.

-What do you want old man?- asked Viggo with a cold look, his eyes that almost always looked blue, had turned a merciless gray.

-Old man?- asked Zeus in a strong tone -I already knew that the Dragonroad are of the worst kind. Your father is rubbish and so are you. The other day you attacked the children in my family for no reason, you will pay for it-

Viggo didn't wait for Zeus to continue and gave him a powerful slap that threw him to the ground. He instantly invoked the Leviathan axe in his hand and put it on Zeus' neck.

-What did you say about my father? I'd like to hear it again- Viggo asked.

-You- said Zeus, feeling the great axe on his neck become as cold as ice and cut off his skin -I am a god-

-And? I will be too, one day, but that is not why I am insulting the family of others-

-Arrogant like your father-

-Old man, I remind you not to continue insulting my father- said Viggo, pressing the axe on Zeus' neck and letting a thread of blood run down his neck -I don't know if you feel untouchable because you are a god, but I don't have the same consideration for you as the rest of the adventurers-

-Viggo- Maxim said, making his way through the crowd. Viggo raised his face, took the axe out of Zeus' neck, and exchanged it for his foot. Viggo rest the Leviathan axe on his shoulder and wait for Maxim to come closer. The latter broke through the crowd and showed himself ahead of Viggo. Maxim was not especially tall or flashy. He measured almost the same as Viggo even though he tripled it in age, with black hair and eyes.

-Viggo, please leave the god of our family alone- Maxim said, looking into his eyes.

Viggo narrowed his eyes and nodded. After all, although he didn't consider Maxim a brother like Jason, Odysseus, and Achilles, he still respected him. His father also had a good opinion of him, as he was a man loyal to his family and has worked tirelessly so that his god does not lead her astray. A person too good to depend on Zeus. Viggo looked down and saw the god on the ground, his face red because Viggo was stepping on his neck. Viggo removed his foot from his neck and gave him a powerful kick in the chest that threw him towards Maxim. The latter shortcut him in the air and looked at Viggo angrily.

-The teacher must have taught you manners, how can you treat an old man that way?- asked Maxim.

-He offended my father, he said things he shouldn't, I just gave him his due. Maybe you and the others think that this rubbish has a halo of immunity or something, but I don't care. If you want to complain, you can go to the guild or with my father. I do not retract what I did-

-The years have only made you more proud-

-Leave it, Maxim- said Viggo, breathing a sigh -I and my father hold you in high esteem for how faithful you have been to your promise to your father and your family, even if they don't deserve it. You have already paid your votes with interest. A new goddess has arrived at Orario, why don't you join us? You can bring in those you consider trustworthy. Of course, the goddess Bishamon will examine them and if she finds them worthy, she will let them into the family-

-You know that's not going to happen- Maxim said, looking down.

Viggo let out another sigh and continued -I assumed so, my father also said that you were stubborn like a mule. Whatever, if you have any business to deal with me for this, go to the guild, I'm not afraid of your family or you-

Maxim frowned and told him -the other day several of my family's adventurers were injured by the winged girl-

-The winged girl is called Rosewisse, don't call her that way as if she were a thing- replied Viggo -maybe for others she is an object of desire, but I love her and respect her very much-

-Well- continued Maxim -Rosewisse attacked the adventurers of my family without any provocation-

-They followed us through the first two floors like stalkers-

-That is only circumstantial, I want compensation for the damaged adventurers and their treatments-

Viggo made a friendly smile and winked his eye, because even though he was fighting for adventurers, the unconscious old man in his arms was ignored, even though Viggo cut his neck and kicked him hard enough to break his rib cage -okay- he said -but as I told you, veil through the guild. We won't do anything under the table, I don't have to please your family or your god-

Viggo faded the Leviathan axe and began to walk while Rosewisse, Sakura and Ana followed closely. The rest of the adventurers broke through, admiring and fearing Viggo in the same proportions. Viggo ignored them and continued his way until he got away from the square outside the dungeon. However, there was someone who followed them secretly.

After walking twenty blocks, Viggo stopped and his group with him. Viggo turned around, investigated an alley, and saw his fingertips get lost behind a corner. Viggo began to walk, the girls grimaced and followed him so that things would not escalate to a point of no return. However, when they reached the alley, they realized that there was no way out, there was only a few pieces of furniture, and no people could be seen in the vicinity.

Viggo looked at both sides of the alley that must have been about ten meters wide by twenty meters long. His eyes turned to the shabby furniture they had left on the right side of the alley. He walks at a slow pace until he stopped behind the furniture and stretched out his hand. So, he took someone by the wrist and made them stand up. The person in question was wearing a light brown hood. She wore a one-piece dress and from the lump she wore on her stomach, you could tell she was pregnant.

-Why are you following us?- asked Viggo, releasing the wrist of the woman, who remained with her face crouched and covered by the hood.

Rosewisse looked at Viggo and said -Viggo, leave her, she doesn't seem to be a bad person- then looked at the woman with the hood with a clear and continuous brown hood -please don't follow us, we don't want problems-

-I- she said in a soft, feminine voice -I just wanted to ask Miss Angel to give her blessing to my son-

Viggo raised an eyebrow and folded his arms watching the woman while the rest were as surprised as he was. It was usually the men who chased Rosewisse, so this was new.

-I'm not an angel, I've read what you mean, but I'm a Valkyrie- Rosewisse replied with an uncomfortable smile.

The person took off his hood revealing a soft white hair as if it were cotton. She had big green eyes and a tender face. It measured one meter with sixty centimeters and of average build.

-There you are- said another person in a cold and elegant voice. Viggo and the rest looked at the beginning of the alley and saw a beautiful woman with silver hair. She was wearing a black dress like a corset with a skirt. She had a wide neckline and necklace with a huge emerald the size of an eye hanging from her neck. To the naked eye she looked cold and contemptuous.

-I'm sorry, Alfia- replied the woman with the white hair in a soft voice -but I had to see the angel-

-I already told you, she is not an angel and that man who goes with her is annoying- replied Alfia, then looked at the rest of those who surrounded the white-haired girl -you, get out of here, this is not your business, you just bother-

Viggo showed a sly smile, materialized the levitan axe and supported it against his shoulder. He was going to step forward, but the girl with the white hair got in his way and put her hands on his chest -please, young man, don't listen to her, my sister is careless, but she is not a bad person. You hate bad people like the god Zeus, right? well, my sister is a good person-

-Meteria, don't say stupid things, come here and let's go- Alfia insisted in a bad way, as if his patience was running out.

-But-

Viggo took a deep breath, looked at Meteria, with white hair with a few shoulder-length laughs. He had an innocent look, devoid of evil. Then he looked at Alfia, with an elegant appearance and an arrogant attitude. Viggo showed a burlesque smile and said -you wanted to meet the angel, well, here she is- Viggo looked at Rosewisse and said -why don't you talk to her for a minute, she won't hurt you-

-Annoyed- Alfi said upon hearing Viggo, and the latter looked at her mockingly.
