Family and Goddess 2.183

-Your father is just as annoying as you are- said Alfia, one of the Hera family's many high-ranking executives. Her sister Meteria was four months pregnant and told her that she wanted the angel who came to Orario (Rosewisse) to bless her son. Both were sisters, but they were like the moon and the sun. Alfia was a magician, an important person and little tolerant of others. Meteria had only worked as a support since she arrived in Orario, she was a person without rank in the family, but she was nice, and everyone loved her.

Meteria and Rosewisse were behind Viggo, chatting with Sakura and Ana who got along well with Meteria. After all, she didn't move on a whim or by a desire for herself. She just wanted her son to be blessed by someone who looked like the creatures in the tales. Rosewisse was helpless before Meteria, explaining several times that she was a Valkyrie, but Meteria insisted that she give her blessing. That way her child would grow up big and strong and one day be a great adventurer.

Viggo bore the brunt, because in order for them to talk, he had to walk ahead with Alfia. They had almost reached the guild, but to Viggo it seemed eternal. He didn't remember when the time stretched out and a few minutes seemed like hours underwater. Alfia was not nice; she was not a good conversationalist and all she did was complain and attack Viggo. Since the latter did not pay much attention to her, she now began to attack his father.

-Why is my father annoying?- asked Viggo only to have something to talk about.

-Your father is a pervert equal to or dirtier than Zeus, he does not know respect for other people-

-You say it as if you were a victim. You are beautiful, I admit, but my father's other wives are more beautiful, elegant, and graceful, why would my father bother a woman as unpleasant as you?-

-You don't know how to be cute- Alfia replied with a frown.

Viggo kept walking and completely ignore her, which bothered Alfia the most.

-Mr. Viggo- said Meteria in a soft voice. Viggo looked back in disregard, and she continued -with respect to what my sister said, half of it is true-

-Really?- asked Viggo full of disbelief, looked at Alfia again and evaluated her. She was beautiful, yes, but her bossy attitude and impatience with the rest of the people made her unpleasant -please enlighten me, at what point my father lost his good taste-

-Hey!- complained Alfia.

Viggo ignored her, looked forward again and heard How Meteria, two meters behind him, recounted the time they met Viggo's father. Everything happened when they had arrived at Orario, they were only between twelve and thirteen years old. Alfia was petulant and had reason to be. She had been admitted to the Hera family on the first attempt, given preferential treatment and allowed Meteria to work as a support, something that Alfia herself placed as a requirement. Of course, Hera is a woman who knows how to recognize talent, so accept those requests.

-Alfia was not at all respectful of Mr. Kain- said Meteria.

-We didn't have to be, he was an intruder who claimed to be friends with the captain and his brothers- Alfia added.

Viggo stared at Alfia coldly and the latter looked away, as if she had not said anything wrong.

Meteria continuo -my sister attacked Mr. Kain and he hit her on the buttocks-

-That, I have no excuse if he did something like that-

-You see, your father is like Zeus, no, he's worse than Zeus- Alfia added as if he had gained something.

Viggo stared into her eyes and said -to admit that my father is wrong is one thing, to give you permission to muddy his name, it is quite another. If you say something similar again, your head will roll on the floors-

However, this time there was no one from Viggo and he received three bumps at the same time. He looked back and Rosewisse, Sakura and Ana looked at him resentfully as they hugged Meteria, who looked at Viggo with concern. Viggo let out a sigh and continued to walk, regretting second by second that he had met them.

Once they arrived at the guild, Alfia and Meteria had served their purpose with Rosewisse, so they were going to leave, but Meteria approached Viggo and said -I hope you don't hold a grudge with my sister. Deep down she's a good person, only she doesn't know how to express it-

-Don't worry, I don't hold a grudge against her. I don't think we can be friends, but I think like you say, she's a good person. After all, she cared about you when I arrived at Orario and put your stay in the Hera family as a requirement-

Meteria showed a radiant smile and nodded. Then she turned around and walked at a fast pace while Alfia waited for her ten meters from them. Viggo always stared at Meteria, but when his eyes met Alfia, he frowned. Alfia seeing him also frowned, as if they couldn't accept each other.

Viggo shook his head, turned around and walked into the guild. There were Rosewisse, Sakura and Ana chatting with their aunt Aina, who was going to help them in the evaluation of treasures they rescued from the dungeon. He keeps walking at a slow pace until get to where they were.

Aina immediately noticed Viggo's condition and asked him -Did something happen?-

-No, I only met one annoying person- said Viggo -come on aunt, help us with this that we now have compensation to pay. Hopefully, it will reach-

-Don't say it- said Rosewisse, sadly -if I had known we could be penalized, I would never have attacked them with my magic-

-Don't worry, I don't think you were wrong. Those guys wouldn't leave us alone- Viggo said -next time I'll take over-

-Not to mention- said Rosewisse, Sakura and Ana.

Viggo rolled his eyes to the ceiling in a gesture of tiredness and shook his head. He had only given that Zeus a little fright. Surely in a few days he is doing his own.

At ten o'clock in the evening they returned home and were received by Scheherezade and Hitomi. Semiramis was in his room, taking care of the demanding Uriel. Viggo greeted everyone and went to see his daughter. He went up to the second floor, walked to Semiramis' room and knocked on the door a couple of times.

-Go ahead- said Semiramis from inside the room.

Viggo opened the door, and his eyes went to the cradle, as he saw nothing through the wooden grid on the sides, his sight passed to Semiramis' bed. There he saw his wife with her long dark hair, lying on her side and turning her back to her.

Viggo walks around with a gentle smile on my lips until stop by the bedside. Semiramis looked up, stretched out her left hand, and stroked her hand. Then she looked at her daughter, who was lying next to her and sucking breast milk from her breast. Little Uriel, with fine red hair, looked up and saw Viggo with her blue eyes. She smiled amused and moved her arms. Viggo and Semiramis waved as they saw her so lively.

Semiramis took Uriel in her arms, walked through the bed, and lay on the other side. Viggo lay down where she was, and Uriel was in between the two. Semiramis pulled her left breast closer, and Uriel began to drink her milk. However, at no time did she turn her eyes away from Viggo. The latter let out a sigh and ran his hand across his forehead in a gentle gesture.

-Was it very difficult to go to the dungeon?- asked Semiramis.

Viggo denied with an expression of tiredness -no, not at all- he said -we learned a lot, we did our experiments. We brought quite a few monster stones and hunt the two-headed dragon. It could be considered a productive trip, but nothing is perfect in life, and we meet annoying people-

-Who?-

-Zeus and Alfia-

-That woman is the height of the unpleasant. I don't know how you could have been so unlucky-

-It may not be so unpleasant- Viggo said with an uncomfortable grimace -she was walking with her sister, Meteria. The latter wanted to see Rosewisse to bless her son in her womb. I, I couldn't refuse and asked Rosewisse to talk to her-

-Meteria is someone very nice, I don't know how she could have the bad luck of having such a sister. Well, as you say, she may not be so unpleasant if she is able to care about her sister-

Viggo nodded and seeing her daughter so comfortable and relaxed drinking breast milk, he fell asleep. Gradually his eyes began to close, until everything went black, and he fell asleep.

Then Viggo woke up in a barren land that he did not know. He looked ahead and saw a place full of craters and what appeared to be war machines, a mixture of metal and wood. Viggo could see monster corpses scattered as far as the eye could see, all shattered, some small, some large and other giants like the Midgar trolls. He still remembers that giant man ten meters tall with the stone totem on his left shoulder and holding with his hand.

The sky was gray, the scavenger birds circled and descended from time to time. However, there were so many that they almost blackened the sky. There were also corpses of human warriors, dwarves, elves, and other races. Some torn to pieces, others burned, and others eaten. Viggo wanted to frown at seeing such a scenario, but he couldn't do it. It was as if he wanted to carry out that expression, but he couldn't and could only look at a stage in which he could not participate. Then his right hand covered in black armor that had a greenish glow, involuntarily (or at least, without Viggo thinking he should move) moved to his face, covered his vision, and heard a sob.

-If, just, if only I had- a person murmured with a voice almost as thick as his master's.

-God king- said someone, Viggo could hear someone's trot, but he couldn't turn to look, even though he wanted to. That person who spoke came in front of Viggo, but he, with his hand covering his face, could only see the feet of a warrior in metal armor.

-Yes?- replied the person in the thick voice, whom they called God king.

-The hero's weapon. It's the only thing they could bring back-

-I- said the god king, raised his hand and could see a warrior in metal armor. On the left side of the breastplate was engraved with a sun, like a circle with four points. The warrior was kneeling in front of Viggo, he was in years, with some wrinkles at the corner of his eyes. He raised his hands and showed a black dagger.

-It's the one that goddess did with my mother- the god king murmured in a thick voice.

-Sir- said the warrior -it's not your fault, it's something he decided on his own. Now you will no longer have to endure the hero's ineptitude or his senseless affronts. You only let him live for this day, so that he would be of use to the kingdom-

-I, do you think I let him live alone for that reason? Am I so evil before your eyes?- asked the god king in a low, thick voice. He stretched out his right hand and took the dagger of that man he met and with him who he could never get along. At least, that's how Viggo felt it in his chest. It was a similar feeling to the one he had with Alfia recently, he wondered.

-Viggo, Viggo- dijo Semiramis

Viggo opened his eyes and found that his face was covered with tears. He looked up, saw Semiramis' room in the dark, and then saw her.

Semiramis seeing that he was crying, hugged him, and whispered him -quiet, everything will be fine, no one is going to die, I promise you. None of that is going to happen, not in a million years-

For some reason, Viggo felt so distraught that he hugged Semiramis and began to cry.
