Prelude to change 2.198

Viggo was sleeping with Scheherezade in his bed in the mansion of Hepahestus when he woke up agitated at five in the morning. Scheherezade felt Viggo's sudden movement as he sat down and opened his eyes. Viggo stood up naked, walked through the room and passed through the paintings that filled the space in his room.

At the same time, Scheherezade stared at him, sat down, and watched Viggo come to his desk at the other end of the room. He looked at the surroundings, it was a little dark by the morning hour, and the curtains blocking the light. He walked to the curtains of the long windows overlooking the balcony, opened the curtains and then went to sit at his desk. Scheherezade got out of bed, put on a gray silk robe, and walked to where Viggo was and dodged the paintings on his lecterns. Once she got to where Viggo was, she notices him concentrating and moving his pen on the paper at high speed, almost scribbling the words. She backed down, because on Kiara's advice, none should know what Viggo was writing. Maybe one of those times, they couldn't stand the implications of what was written and did some stupid thing and then regretted it. The future was an interesting thing, but if it weren't handled wisely enough, it could be twisted more than it should.

For his part, Viggo did not notice Scheherezade. All his attention was on writing down all the information he had collected through his dreams such as dates, places, people, events, and key people. Someone had raised the hero who died at the end of Viggo's dreams and made him so stupid that when he had to make good decisions, he made them with what hung between his legs. It was one mistake after another that could have killed him, but that guy was so lucky that he didn't die and remained just as stupid until he died.

Viggo finished writing his tenth sheet and began to reread everything he had written. All in all, it was more of the same, almost seventy percent of the information was repeated, but there were new clues. Viggo smiled as he read a name "Magnus". According to the brief conversation the god king had with him, Viggo could identify him as the son of Ottar. He had married one of Uriel's daughters and they had a large family. However, when he talked, Magnus seemed sad.

The battle in which the hero died was with the last remaining beast as a remnant of the age of the gods, the black dragon. Several other names that Viggo does not know came to light, but there was one he knew very well, that of Ottar.

Viggo left the documents on the table, leaned back, and rested his neck on the backrest, looking at the flat, white ceiling. This was no longer just to save that boy who sacrificed himself as a hero. By adding the name Ottar he had taken a more personal address. All in all, Viggo had many questions such as why was he in front of Orario, seeing a battlefield covered with corpses and not fighting the dragon? If it had been him, he could have done something against that creature, either with his Leviathan axe, with the swords of chaos or with Touki himself.

-Dear- said Scheherezade in a melodious voice, she walked up to the chair and caressed his shoulders. Viggo relaxed, smiled, and she bent down to give him a kiss on the lips. Then he turned his face away and continued -Kiara said not to drown in what can happen, can change, can improve, but for that you must think things coldly and not drown in the possibilities-

-I know- Viggo said wearily -it's just not a question with just one answer. No, sorry, right now I have many questions and many answers-

-Well, for that we're going to go to Lady Hera's house and talk to her and your father-

-I get it- said Viggo -what time is it?-

-Nine o'clock in the morning. At eleven o'clock in the morning we must be in the mansion- replied Scheherezade, walking to the side of the chair, taking Viggo's hand and forcing him to get up. Viggo stopped in front of her, stroked her cheek and kissed those thick lips.

An hour later, Viggo, Scheherezade, Semiramis and Uriel were traveling in Semiramis' carriage to the Hera family mansion. Uriel was in Viggo's arms, watching out the window as the adventurers went to the dungeon. At the same time, the streets had painted posters and murals. It was the time of festivals, where the Denatus of the gods and the auction full of exotic items would also be held.

-Viggo- said Semiramis -I have some things I'd like you to look at-

Viggo looked up at the front seat, where Scheherezade and Semiramis were sitting looking at some documents. They both looked at him and Viggo smiled -What would it be?- he asked.

-Some business-related items I don't handle. I've always had some fears, but knowing that you can corroborate certain things for us, we can step forward-

Viggo shook his head as he held little Uriel by the waist. He looked at the chubby little face with a trickle of saliva running from the corner of her mouth. Viggo reached for one of the white diapers next to the seat where he was. He takes the white diaper and wipe her saliva -I'm not against it- said Viggo as he looked at Uriel, with blue eyes and fine red hair -but you should be careful not to bet high. Remember that I can see some information, but I can't tell if something is correct or not. For example, the issue of the mine they were trying to sell to Aunt Hera. We were lucky that I just heard how the guys were trying to get the ore out to sell a mine that was more of a rock cave and no minerals. However, that doesn't mean there isn't more mineral. Be careful, you must know how to interpret the information-

-Your information becomes more detailed at every moment, if I give you the cup or an associated item to the seller, could you extract information from that?-

Viggo took a deep breath and nodded -I'll try, but don't expect anything-

-I'll wait a lot, you're my husband-

-That... I don't know if I feel flattered or used-

Semiramis showed a haughty smile and replied -a bit of both if you don't get offended-

-I will try-

-To all this- said Semiramis.

Viggo looked at her and asked -What is it now?-

-I would like to take some liberties with your paintings, would you care?-

Viggo frowned, thought about it a little and then replied -you know well which ones we can show and which ones we cannot, I leave it to your discretion-

-Thank you, I'd like to show my nude with the jewels- said Semiramis, Viggo frowned, and she smiled -As far as I remember the jewelry covers all the important parts-

-Why?- asked Viggo in a firm tone, which made Uriel jump out of fright and deform her small face to an expression of fear until it ended in tears. Viggo was surprised by the reaction and hugged her, but Uriel wouldn't stop crying and Semiramis had to hand over her documents to Scheherezade and move to Viggo's seat. The latter gave Uriel and Semiramis breastfed the baby, which immediately reassured her.

Semiramis looked at her daughter in her arms, hugging her breast with both hands and drinking milk as if her life depended on it. A small tear was falling down her cheek. She let out a sigh, turned her face and looked at Viggo -it's not your own to get so jealous. It's just a painting, where you don't see anything- she said.

Viggo looked away and frowned -I just don't like it, that's all. If you think it's okay, then I won't put problems, but even so, I won't still like it-

Semiramis made an awkward expression and looked at her daughter again -I just want to mark a fashion- she said in a soft voice -let the noble women and goddesses look at me in the picture and want to imitate me. That will increase my visibility among people doing business and open new doors to more lucrative businesses-

-I, I'm sorry, I didn't think so, I just don't like you to show yourself to other men or gods. Okay, it's my fault for not understanding you, as well as scaring our daughter-

-Don't be silly, you know I only have eyes for you- replied Semiramis, leaning on Viggo's arm as Uriel continued to drink milk from her breast. Viggo looked at her, then looked at his daughter and felt like a fool. He stretched out his huge, calloused hand and brought it closer to Uriel's little head. The baby looked at him without stopping drinking milk. Viggo smiled and continued stroking her head in a gentle gesture.

-The stress of clairvoyance is true- said Scheherezade.

Viggo frowned and nodded in a sharp gesture -last night I dreamed of a boy, tall, stocky, with brown hair. He was the son of Ottar-

-Viggo- said Scheherezade from the other side, warning him not to continue talking. Kiara also agreed with the goddess Hera on the fact that humans rarely get things right when they know about the future. He was unwise, although Scheherezade was also curious to know about the future.

-I, I'm sorry- Viggo said, sighing.

-Go on- said Semiramis at his side, with the baby in her arms -continue, I promise you that you can trust your secrets, I will never do anything, even if I think I am helping you. I will leave everything in your hands, but it is not good for you to shut up these things. Talk, you can do it with me-

Viggo made a small smile and nodded -last night I dreamed of a boy inside a castle. He was the son of Ottar, he had married one of Uriel's daughters. He looked like a good boy, strong and competent like his father- Viggo shut up for an instant, softened his voice and continued -he was sad, his father had died-

That created a sad and uncomfortable atmosphere in the carriage. Semiramis and Scheherezade knew the kind of life Ottar and Viggo had led, how they grew up together, the arguments they had and how just a couple of years ago, Ottar forgave Viggo. They understood that Viggo cared about Ottar just as he cared about his other brothers.

Viggo looked down and said in a soft voice -this, it's no longer just for the future. Now it's personal- he said.
