Orario and balance 2.284

Rosewisse, Brunnhilde and Viggo came out of the underground mines and crossed the Lake of the Nine Realms. In appearance everything looked normal, but Midgar breathed another air and as a result, it had not stopped snowing at any time during the trip. The skies were gray and there was a breeze as cool as that of the mountain of the Jotun, a place in height and covered with snow.

Rosewisse traveled to the southwest, crossed the woods and from a distance noticed that something had happened in her master's garden. That place sheltered from the cold and the problems of Midgar, was now withered and the great turtle lying on its belly. His eyes were closed, and he had an expression of loneliness.

Rosewisse fluttered harder, flew at full speed and when she reached the dock next to the river, she dropped Viggo from five meters high. The latter fell on his feet, but falling on the dock broke the boards and fell into the water. However, Rosewisse did not have much objection and only cared about her teacher's garden. Now the beautifully colored plants had withered, and the animals were nowhere to be seen.

—Rosewisse— Viggo complained as he climbed out of the water. He wore the turquoise dwarf royal armor with gold edges while carrying the cross-leather bag —how can you think of dropping me from such a height, without warning and more on top of the wooden pier?—

Soon Brunnhilde descended, looked at Rosewisse and then looked at the ghost forest. It gave the impression of being a place where you would find endless undead.

—I'm sorry, Viggo— Rosewisse said worriedly, but her vision was focused on the forest. She could find no signs of her master, Hildisvíni or any other animal. She walked to the house and crouched on the edge of the sinkhole where the house was hidden. She tries to look out one of the windows. The place was still intact, but it was uninhabited.

Rosewisse got up, took to the sky, and began to fly over the area. At the same time, Viggo looked at the surroundings, but concealed his deception. He already knew what had happened. Freya had lost her son and had gone on a journey to find her warrior spirit, all so she could get revenge on Kratos.

Brunnhilde watched Rosewisse go round and round, she turned around, looked at Viggo and asked —Do you know what's wrong with Rosewisse?—

—Yes— Viggo replied indifferently —her master has gone somewhere without telling her or leaving a message, something that is not typical of her—

—Was that woman powerful?—

—It was your ancient goddess who is now a simple witch, Freya—

Brunnhilde's eyes widened, and she began to look around. She took to the sky and started searching, but there were no clues of any kind. Freya had disappeared.

Viggo sat on a rock while meditating thinking about the consequences of the actions of his master and Atreus. He could no longer leave Midgar forgotten, now he would have to be constantly monitoring it as he searched for the answer to how to kill Odin. The moment a battle breaks out between Kratos and Freya, nothing was going to survive. Viggo couldn't do anything for adults, but he wouldn't let death catch up with his little brother.

Rosewisse and Brunnhilde returned half an hour later. Rosewisse was worried and as always, Brunnhilde felt useless that she could not do more. They found Viggo meditating on a rock. Viggo opened his eyes with a neutral expression and looked at Rosewisse.

—Anything?— asked Viggo.

Rosewisse shook her head and asked —Can you use my feather or some item in the house to find her?—

—Of course— replied Viggo, he used the feather and then went to get some clothes inside Freya's house, but nothing. She had disappeared from Midgar, which left Rosewisse grieving.

Viggo let Rosewisse rest from her worries and after another half hour, he asked her to see his master. That was going up the mountains heading west.

—Sure, let's hope they haven't disappeared— Rosewisse said, her spirits on the floor. She took Viggo, but this time her flight was slow and clumsy.

Once they reached the house on top of the mountains, they stopped in the snow-covered yard. Viggo asked them to wait outside. He didn't know what state Atreus and Kratos would be.

Viggo approached the hut with the huge lintel where they had carved runic words to ward off bad luck and evil spirits. Viggo knocked on the door a couple of times and from the inside they asked, —Who?—

—It's me, Viggo— replied Viggo.

The door opened and just as he thought, Atreus was sleeping in his bed. Kratos let Viggo pass but gave Rosewisse and Brunnhilde a questioning look. However, he quickly closed the door and walked in along with Viggo.

—What do you want boy?— Kratos whispered as he walked away from the front door.

—First of all— whispered Viggo —warn you not to talk about what happened to Freya and her son—

—I know that—

—Yes, but I remind you that you have an Atreus—

Kratos frowned, arrived in front of the sinkhole where he had the bonfire and sat on a log. Viggo sat on another log and stared at it.

—How are you master?— asked Viggo —Could you do what the aunt asked?—

—Yes, we succeeded, but several things happened. You already know one of them—

—Tell me?—

—I like secrets— someone said.

Viggo gave a jump and looked back. Then he saw Mimir on a table reading a book. Viggo got up, took Mimir by the horns and brought him to the bonfire. He sat him on a log, and he sat on his log.

—You need to be here, there are things to share—

—Because of your tone, young Viggo— said Mimir —I feel that I will not like it—

Viggo grimaced uncomfortably and explained the subject of the Valkyries, the visions of Rosewisse's mother and the reason why so many draugrs walk in Midgar.

—This is a disaster, a complete disaster. In addition, Baldur's death—

—Shhhh— said Viggo, his index finger covering his lips —shut up, speak softly, I thought you were the smartest man among the living—

—I am— Mimir whispers —but you can't blame me, it's a lot of bad things, one after the other—

—And what do you say, the only relief is that if the serpent of the world is awake, Thor will not dare to come unless Odin gives him his permission. And I think you understand what that means—

—Yes, I understand— replied the old head with two small horns and a beard.

Viggo looked at his master and said —I will come constantly, not as constantly as once a month, but at least twice a year. I hope you are well; I will ask Grandpa to continue to bring food to Atreus—

—Don't do it— Kratos said with a serious expression —Atreus is no longer a child; he must find his food on his own—

Viggo was quiet for a few seconds and nodded —I understand, master— he said.

—You'd better not let those girls in, if Atreus wakes up, he can say something that makes things uncomfortable for everyone—

—I understand— replied Viggo, got up, took a deep breath, and said —see you, take care of each other, both of you, and above all take care of Atreus—

—Yes, don't worry— replied Mimir —we'll take care of the little brother—

Viggo looked at Kratos, both nodded, and Viggo turned his back to go out. Once outside he saw that Rosewisse and Brunnhilde were talking about something serious about fifteen meters from the hut. It seems that it was from Freya, what she had taught Rosewisse and what she was like.

Viggo advanced at a slow pace, they noticed, but they kept talking. Viggo stopped a meter away from them and said —Things with my master are discussed. Atreus is asleep, so we get nothing out of waiting for him. He seems to be very tired—

—It's a shame— said Rosewisse —I would have liked to say goodbye to him—

—I imagine—

—And are you going to see the AllFather or not?— asked Brunnhilde in an annoyed tone of voice.

Viggo and Rosewisse stared at her like she was a fool. Viggo smiled slyly and said —I remember telling you that you would come with us—

—Yes, but the AllFather—

—The AllFather can wait. He is a horrible and graceless old man; I prefer a million times to see my children and my beautiful wives— Viggo looked at Rosewisse and asked —Do you do the honors?—

—Of course— Rosewisse replied with a sly smile, she brought her hand to her neck, touched the necklace with the blue stone and channeled mana to activate it. Instantly the three of them were surrounded by a sphere of energy. Brunnhilde looked at the sphere with a horrified expression, but by the time she tries to back up, it was too late. The energy sphere already had her trapped inside along with Viggo and Rosewisse. The next instant, the three disappeared from Midgar.

Orario was in the middle of spring by that time, so the sky was clear and the sun incandescent. Rosewisse smiled at the sight of the huge three-story white mansion with blue-cupped towers at each corner and a huge dome in the center. On the sides were the grassy gardens and flower islands.

At the same time, Brunnhilde had been left with her mouth open at the sudden change of scenery. She had never seen such a construction. She turned around and looked towards the fence that faced the street, beyond it was the cobbled street and beautiful black carriages pulled by magnificent horses. Beyond were other mansions, smaller and humbler, but not for that reason they could be considered ugly.

—Welcome to our house, Brunnhilde— said Viggo and Rosewisse at the same time.

Brunnhilde stared at them, both smiling in a friendly manner. However, she began to shed tears and told them —I tell you and I tell you, but you just bother me. They are not happy that I lost an arm for failing, now I will surely die—

—Brunnhilde, don't be silly— said Rosewisse, moved forward and embraced her —we didn't bring you with that intention— Brunnhilde looked into her eyes and Rosewisse continued —we want you to live in a beautiful place, to look for another destination, and to abandon Odin and the others. It's just not worth it. Tell me, when was the last time you felt happy?—

Brunnhilde was silent and shed a lot of tears because she didn't really remember it.

Rosewisse held Brunnhilde for a few minutes and then pulled back a bit to give her space.

—Rosewisse— Brunnhilde said, her eyes filled with tears —it's true, aren't they going to take me somewhere else like when we were children?—

—No, no one is going to take you anywhere else. We're really going to be able to be friends. Here there are no Valkyries or council of elders, or ragnarok or anything like that—

—I'll believe you—

—Don't worry, Brunnhilde— Viggo added a meter away from them —with everything we picked up you'll be able to have your arm back and a weapon like Rosewisse's—

Brunnhilde looked at Rosewisse and asked —Really?—

—Really, really— said Rosewisse, she took her hand and Viggo put his hand on her back and between the two of them they led her to the mansion. Rosewisse added —You'll be surprised, this place is very spacious and there are many babies, all children of this guy—

—Hey, is that how you talk to your husband?— asked Viggo.

Rosewisse snorted and said —Well, that happens to you by not controlling what's in your pants—
