Evergreen

-Immortal prince-

Leaving the mansion was hard. I didn't want to leave Yume, but I knew she was in good hands with Sedric. I need to trust him. I needed to hurry before the sun rose, opening the door to my black 69 Camaro with tinted windows all around. Leather-coated the seats with a friendly black dashboard and red light indicating turning on the vehicle.

Revving the engine, I zoom down the drive making a hard right into the Dead forest. *I need to make it to Evergreen, and I need to hurry* my mind holding tight on the memories of Yume as I speed through the forest entering Blackhills town on the other side.

After some time passed, I had to stop at the Baren Hotel to get rest during sunrise; it made me angry, knowing I had to stop to rest.

'Good evening sir, what do I have the pleasure' the front desk clerk said as I opened the door.

'I need a room till tomorrow night,' I replied, trying hard not to growl.

'Right away,' the clerk said shakenly, seems as though my growl came out of me.

'Sigh...' taking a deep breath, and closed my eyes as the clerk handed over the key with his hands shaking, causing the key to jingle; grabbing it, I turned away before...

'I must not be disturbed,' I said with my voice deep with frustration. I storm up the stairs leading to the first set of doors that lead straight down the hall. I finally found my door room with old rusted wood, and the numbers engraved into the middle of the frame read fifteen.

I put the key into the keyhole and entered the room, making the door squeak loud in my ear. The room smelled musty, like someone old died in here. The bed looked like it was about to fall into pieces, with the framework being rusted metal and wood with holes eaten away at it.

'It's only for one morning,' I said out loud with a heavy sigh; I know I need to get some rest, and when I return, I will scrub myself raw to get this room off of me. So I blacken the curtains and settle into bed for a day's rest.

I was pacing back and forth, waiting on anything to change with poor Yume. I was so nervous to even go near her. *what if I try to do anything to help her and she attacks me with that weird light* my mind is racing with so many what-ifs.

Finally getting the courage to sit on the bed beside her, and I wipe more sweat away with a damp cloth. I closed my eyes, letting out a big sigh, trying to keep it together for the master, but it's hard when I don't know what I'm getting myself into.

'Beep..Beep..Beep'

I opened my eyes again to see what was causing the monitor to go off, seeing Yume panting. The air in the room got colder real fast; I could see my breath. The windows fog up, and I could see icicles encasing the glass.

''Ahhhhhh!'' I turn back to Yume to see her screaming; with her eyes closed, she was in a sitting position, and the air she was screaming out was filled with ice. My eyes grew more prominent, and I fell back to the ground and pushed away with my feet till I hit a wall.

Before I could run away, I saw Yume stop screaming and drop back onto her pillow hard. I was worried she hurt herself, so I got the courage to stand up and run over to her. I gently moved her head to a better position than half off the pillow and bent.

'The Master needs to figure out something and fast you're not doing so good I'm going to need to stay with me Yume, please bear with me. I don't understand why the blood transfusion is not working; you should have been awake by now.'

It took an extra long because I had to stop. Still, I was almost to Evergreen. after heading out of town, I entered a forest of such beauty filled with Cherryblossom with its white and pink blooms adorn the branches that fall away to the ground, and as you drive past, you can see a bright blue Jacaranda tree.

I finally get out of my car, seeing as I can no longer drive through with trees blocking my path. I try to gather what I can for the road ahead to ensure I don't forget anything important.

Stepping past the last blue Jacaranda tree root I found a wide clearing with trees surrounding a big willow tree dead center to the forest with its beautiful branches dropping down to cause a dark and eerie scenery. I drop my bag and walk up to the tree.

'Hello!' I called out, waiting for a response, but I was met with nothing but the wind the blew through the trees.

'Damn it I thought she would be here,' I yelled out; frustrated, I kicked at the tree before turning away to head to the bag I had left. But, before I could even take my first step, I was pushed back hard, and my air was knocked out of me by what looked like a tree branch.

I was thrown back against the willow tree, and the tree branch wrapped around my body.

'Hmm, what do we have here' a mysterious lady said from behind the willow tree.

'Ahh, I'm here to get... answers my name is Emerys I need to meet the wood nymph, please... it's important,' i replied barely with the tree branch squeezing me.

'I am Zanna, prince Emerys. I'm very sorry. she said with a bow and a wave of her hand, releasing me from the tree branch holding me. I drop to the ground to gather my breath, and I finally stand up.

'I need your help Zanna; you owe me for saving your life, and I need that debt paid now,' i replied, grabbing my bag.

'What is it you need of me, Emerys' she said, rising and started pacing the forest floor that was covered in pink and blue leaves.

'I need to know more about your kind. I need to know more about nymphs, please,' i said, running my hand through my hair before letting out a deep sigh hoping that she would give me some in site as to what is happening to Yume.

'Why do you need to know of us; we have never put our kind in the spotlight; why start now?' she replied he expression never changing.

'i need to save Yume please, she will die if I can't help her,' i pleaded, hoping she would help me.

'I see explain to me what happened, and I will do my best to answer all questions you have,' she replied with a smile.

After sometime later, I explained what had happened to Yume, and the look on her face would give anyone goosebumps.

'So she is coming into her powers, I see, hmm...' she said, closing her eyes and started pacing again.

'With what you have told me of what has happened, it seems she is a water nymph, and she needs to go to the sping of enchantments where her body can recuperate.' she opened her eyes before continuing.

'When you drink our blood, there is an unbelievable thirst that comes with it; our blood is very potent, and that is why you almost killed her. she needs to go there to get her body restored, and only then will she live.'

'Our power comes from within is, and if she never felt it, the power must have just activated, and that is why you got thrown to the wall.' she said with a chuckle.

'It's not funny I didn't know she was a nymph, and even if I did, I had never been around them long enough to understand them.' i spouted out of frustration.

'Even so she is a new nymph, and her powers can be deadly if provoked. Water nymph can control all elements of water, making it freeze or even boils it like lava; water nymph can even control others bodies as it being 70% water of course.' she replied with a slite smile forming.

'Ok, so I need to take her to the spring of enchantment, and she will be healed; right, what will happen to her after? How will she control her powers?' i said, trying to figure out more so I know how to help Yume.

'Here, take this it will help you with all your questions and how she can control her powers; it talks about her powers being controlled by her emotions,' she said, handing me an old dark oak book with waves engraved into the middle and at the bottom reads another language I don't understand.

'What is this book?' i asked.

'It called Nardia she is the creator of this book and a water nymph and also a queen of the sea. she wrote about everything to know about water nymphs, but please be careful this book is priceless and is our life to protect every book in our archive.' she said letting go of the book with shaky hands.

'I will guard this with my life; thank you so much, Zanna,' i said, reassuring her with a smile.
