Harkoning back

The morning after 'Game Night', Michael, Saeko, and Serana walk to the dining room and sit themselves at the large table with everyone else. Megumin, Saya, Tiffania, Maria, the only one who wasn't present was Illucocoo who was training with Paarthurnax.

"So, do you guys bone?" Saya abruptly asks as they start breakfast.

"What!? No!" Serana exclaims.

"We didn't sleep at all." Saeko breathlessly says while resting a hand on her cheek.

"Hm, did you have fun?" Tiffania asks, completely uncaring over Saeko's acting.

"I think so, Serana probably has a lot on her mind though." Michael says, biting into some bacon.

Tiffania turns to their soulless guest, "If you need anything please let me know, you might not know me but I know you well enough, Serana." she smiles.

"You played it too, huh... Is there anyone in this place who hasn't seduced my game character?"

Everyone looks away, Tiffania included, the only person that hadn't touched the video games was Maria...

Serana gapes at Tiffania's reaction, "Y-you too!?"

"I wanted to see if there was a way to cure you, getting married might have given a quest for it." she honestly admits.

Serana rubs her face, "Okay, I can't deal with all this right now so I'm going out, I'll decide what to do when I get back..."she says, headed for the door before pausing...

"You don't know the way out, do you? Or even where we are?" Saeko remarks.

"I know where we are, Winterhold is older than me I'll have you know!... And the way out is down." she states, beginning her descent.

"Should we be worried?"

"Nah... Probably not...?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Serana steps out of the tower and instantly has to cover her face from the intense sunlight... This was actually the first time she'd been outside in however many thousand years she'd been buried. With the sensation of her blood boiling, came a chilling breeze that blew her hair to the side... She was atop a mountain and standing under a gloriously shining tower that blinded her senses with how much Magicka was being funnelled into the sky... "So he wasn't lying about enhancing the 'veil'. Still hard to believe it though..." she mutters to herself as she looks down at the city below.

"Winterhold's changed a lot too, the College is gone... I wonder if my secret stash in my old room lasted?" she wonders, remembering her early years of studying there.

"V-Vampire!?" a voice shouts as soon as she steps onto the street... She hadn't forgotten to apply her usual illusion magic, had she?

She turns and her eyes widen as she lays eyes on the horned, blue-skinned, tailed, hoofed person. Her words unconsciously slip out... "What in Oblivion are you supposed to be?"

"Me? I'm Eredar!" the blue-skinned woman states as she readies her staff for combat, "And I well know the threat your kind serves."

"Wait, wait! I'm Michael's fr-, acquaintance... I just left his tower to explore the city, you can ask him if you want."

...

"Why didn't you say so?" the woman's attitude instantly changes, "I am Ennura, one of the leaders of the Eredar here, who are you, acquaintance of Michael?"

"Serana." she awkwardly answers, unsure where to go from there.

Ennura smiles, "Come, you wanted to see the city? Let me show you around. See what my people and the natives have built." she grips the vampire's hand begins leading her around.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

...

"Repeat that, one more time." Harkon, Vampire Lord of the Volkihar clan growls from his seat at the head of the table, the nearby seated vampires quivering at the aura he was releasing.

"D-Dimhollow Cypt... Someone invaded it, killed everyone inside, and made off with your daughter!"

"AND YOU FOOLS LET IT HAPPEN!?" Harkon roars, grabbing the man. "I ALLOW YOU THE FREEDOM TO SEARCH FOR MY DAUGHTER AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME!? YOU HAVE LOST US THE ELDER SCROLL! THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF SEARCHING RENDERED NAUGHT FROM YOUR FAILURE! YOU SNIVELLING WRETCH!"

"My lord! P-please spare me! I-I wasn't even there when the attack occu-"

*SMASH!*

Harkon smashes the man through the table, shattering it and the stone ground beneath it, breaking most of the bones in the unfortunate vampire's body. "SILENCE! THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS YOUR ABYSMAL FAILURE, ONE YOU WILL NOT RECOVER FROM!" with that, he raises the man and bites into his neck as he squirms to free himself.

Within a matter of seconds his body shrivels into a lifeless husk, once drained completely he skin flakes off and he turns to dust, bones and all.

Harkon shakes off the ash and dust and paces around for a moment, trying to regain his calm but failing magnificently... Who knew where his daughter would be now? She might've crossed the sea to some far off island to escape his grasp... Taking along his Elder Scroll with her!

"My Lord! What is your command? We'll rectify this mistake at once!"

"There is no rectifying this. But, we may be able to find who was responsible... The Crypt, search it for evidence, anything left behind by our enemies... Blood for blood, let us retaliate. Lead some men to each Hold, kill until the tally matches." he looks up at his servants, "Kidnap those close to their leaders, we will demand information with those hostages."

"At once my lord!" most of the vampires present shout and quickly shuffle out from the hall, wanting to both get to work and avoid any more of Harkon's wrath.

"Feran, begin the creation of your Crimsondeath potions. I want the one responsible for all of this to suffer endlessly... I will turn them and have them tortured for eternity."

"At once, Harkon."
