The Forbidden Doughnut

*Szzooom!*

Michael, Saeko, and Megumin casually step through the Dimension Gate with varying expressions. Their first reactions to this new world could be summarized with a single word... Fuck.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM!*

*BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG!*

*PEWPEWPEWAPEWPEWPEWPEW!*

All around them in a deeply forested area a warzone was raging, on one side humans dressed in green, somewhat futuristic-looking armour. While the other was made of a number of different aliens species garbed in brightly coloured exo-suits.

The humans were using good old-fashioned ballistic and explosive weaponry with supporting aircraft and armoured trucks. While the aliens fired strange energy weapons that would bur and cauterize anything hit. Any human hit would drop screaming almost instantly as the caustic projectile horrifically burns them as if it were sticky thermite.

The three outworlders were so surprised that they were almost unable to react when one of the taller, blue-armoured aliens points at them and shouts "Akhar halikt tiurci!"

Michael pulls Megumin low to avoid the plasma shots while Saeko draws her blade and slices them out of the air, much to the surprise of the alien.

"KJAHTUA-HAT IS THIS?" his voice is soon translated to Michael's ears, allowing him to understand the peculiar alien tongue, "Brothers! We have a hostile heretic using sacred technology on our flank!"

With that a quarter of the alien forces turn in their direction...

*SHIIKKSH!*

Strange blue weapons manifest in their hands, ones that Michael instantly recognises... "Elites? We're in the Halo universe!" he exclaims, drawing his companion's attention.

"That stupid shooter that you tried to get us to like?" Megumin questions.

"Shut your heretic mouth, Halo is-was, the best game series ever created!" he shakes his head, "We'll talk about this when we're not being shot at." he states as he slaps a couple plasma shots out of the air with the back of his hand.

*PEWPEWPEW!*

*PIKPIKPIK!*

Saeko easily cuts any enemy shots out of the air, even deflecting a few straight back at their shooters. They retreat toward the human combatants and are not all that surprised to find even their weapons pointed at them.

"THIS IS SARGEANT PACKS, SERVICE NUMBER 512-42-8213! IDENTIFY YOURSELVES NOW!" one man screams, holding the trio in place despite the enemies madly charging towards them.

"We're civilian natives of this planet!" Michael states trying to find a way to explain themselves but seems to fail magnificently.

"PLANET? WE'RE NOT ON A PLANET 'CIVILIAN!' I'M PUTTING YOU UNDER ARREST UNTIL WE CAN VERIFY YOUR IDENTITIES, DROP YOU WEAPONS AND COME QUIETLY OR ELSE!"

...

Fuck...

He glances at Saeko and Megumin and gives a small shake of his head, he holds his hands up and approaches the soldiers as Saeko and Megumin hand over their sword and staff respectively. "We'll put our safety in your hands now, Sargeant..."

"LOCK THEM UP IN A PELICAN! THE LIEUTENANT CAN DEAL WITH THEM AFTER THE BATTLE'S DONE!"

With that, the trio are quickly shuffled onto a green airship and locked in place by the seat belt-like restraints, all with a few soldiers sitting around with their weapons pointed at them. The aliens outside continued to chase them, even ignoring the other enemies to try and shoot down the ship, all in vain however.

"So... You guys come here often?" Michael casually ask one of the soldiers but only gets a scathing glare in response.

"Why are we even still here? I'm pretty sure this place doesn't have anything you wanted.." Megumin asks.

She was right too, nothing in the Halo universe, barring maybe the Forerunners or Precursors. He wasn't hoping for any of those however, instead, he wanted to see how much the Flood was worth... Quantity over Quality, plus, the Gravemind would probably be worth a shit ton of exp considering its relative power. It was up there, maybe even reaching demi-god rank depending on its size and how many flood it controlled. He gives this kind of explanation to his friends via a mental link they had through the contract they signed.

"I just wanted to see our glorious humanities soldiers at work." he responds for the nearby soldiers. Obviously, it doesn't get him any social points however.

-----------------------------------

An hour later Michael, Megumin, and Saeko were pulled off of the pelican and brought into a rough-looking base. A walled-off compound with routinely patrolling soldiers scanning the area every second of every day. Once inside they're led to a large, blank room and locked inside for an hour until the Lieutenant finally arrived...

A tomboyish woman with short hair that had visible tattoos underneath it, she wore a similar garb to the other soldiers with the main exception being its grey colouring... She folds her arms and stares at them analytically, trying to pick out any facial clues to determine what they were doing on the installation...

Her first thoughts were that they were UNSC soldiers that'd deserted after the Pillar of Autumn had crashed, but none of their appearances was logged on the database... Then, she heard of the strange thing they had with them, along with the few combat logs that'd been recorded.

The man and taller woman with peculiar hair had easily fended off the Covenant weaponry, this would have been a feat on its own, but it was even further confused when she saw their 'weapons'... Or... Lackthereof.

"So, 'Civilians', I take it your outfits are traditional to this 'world'?" she sarcastically asks as she leans against the wall next to the door. Obviously, there were several heavily armoured units ready to respond should they prove to be enemy operatives.

"I mean, I made them so maybe they'd be tradition in a hundred years or so?" Michael remarks before pauses as he looks at Megumin... She had her usual black and red Ebon-thread robes, but she also had one of his gifts on top of that... Her Flame Cloak.

It wasn't currently letting out any obvious flames since she wasn't in any danger, but the occasional ember did fall from it, making it obviously magical, or 'technological' from the UNSC's perspective...
