Final battle

It was the final battle.

The newly summoned angel was flying above the ground and Kara was standing at the opposite end of the townsquare.

'A flying opponent, and the race considered to be the most superior, but this would be over quick!' Kara declared calmly, 'If May is correct, a lowly angel is not enough to defeat me.'

With his crimson eyes flashing with magic energy, black sharp nails grew out from his fingers. Denser and sharper than earlier!

Noticing this as if it was looking at a close up angle from the air, the angel wore a calm expression. Just then, he had now confirmed something.

'The Princess of Dark and Silence is strangely here, and for some reason, it was inside the consciousness of the raven haired boy as if he was hosting her,' the angel thought, 'What could this mean? Could this mean the Princess of Dark and Silence had been living inside him, or it could be that this boy had only unlocked this power and is unsure of how to utilize it? How vile.'

Everyone was extremely alarmed at the imminent battle, when they found the angel suddenly do something without moving.

The angel's eyes holily shone activating his tremendous holy magic. Compared to the normal magic activation which was usually not very obvious, the angel's was dramatic and emanated tremendous magic fluctuations that were as calm as a flowing river yet as piercing as a light that could strike like blades.

It was at this moment!

While flying in the air, the angel gently waved his right hand horizontally. The movement were gentle and slow but very smooth, and soon they were seeing little white balls of light full of holy energy hovering in place.

Just then, the angel swiped his hand and all of the balls of holy light shot out instantly aiming towards Kara. Everyone thought that was the end, as no way any of them could withstand an attack as many, simultaneous, powerful, and as quick as that.

Surely, even the mysteriously powerful raven-haired boy would survive.

But what they saw surprised them.

"Dark Shadow: Domain," Kara muttered.

The angel grinned with delight, pasting a small smile on its face, as if he was expecting it.

Kara's facial expression was as calm as water, and they could see he was just walking ahead, one foot ahead of the other. When the simultaneous extremely powerful attacks came at him, he continued to walk.

"Such evil need not to exist," the angel said gently.

As soon as the attacks of the angel arrived two meters before Kara, a shadow would appear around the attack and would swallow it up like nothing.

Not only that, but soon as the attacks were swallowed, the attacks would move reappear above him, redirecting the attacks of the angel towards him.

"I never expected I would use my last skill. This skill pales to your domain magic, but it is still a domain power, allowing me to turn any forms of magic coming from an inferior creature in a two meter distance." Kara said.

The angel might belong to the pinnacle of all races, but it does not mean that every angel was superior to all races.

'This angel is indeed not very powerful. He was not even courteous enough to say his name, it's a weakling,' May replied.

Chris watching this cannot help but be stunned as well. He knew how powerful angels were, even if they had disappeared from the world, they were still the pinnacle of all races.

'Normally, light mage arts would always best dark mage arts. But that would not apply when someone has a superior flow of magic. However, that is still not easy.' Chris thought, as he watched carefully.

Finally, while the distance between the angel and Kara was quickly narrowing, the crimson eyes of Kara faintly grew brighter. But no so bright it would be obvious, just enough to know he would use his next attack.

It was at this moment, that the angel had realized something.

He thought he could overpower the raven haired boy, but that was not the case. He was but a mere lowly angel.

"No way the host of the princess of dark and silence is weak," the angel said.

The angel widened his eyes, and from his entire body emitted holy light that was extremely blinding.

"However, that don't mean I can't defeat evil. Go to hell!" The angel screamed, but the holy light that was about to explode was suddenly cloaked with a veil of shadows that was as dense as the darkest abyss.

'What is this? Shouldn't he be blinded for now? What…why do I feel so scared?'

The angel saw the cloak of extremely dense black shadows swallowing the holy light that was about to erupt from him and take the raven haired boy, but his holy being—unafraid of any creature—suddenly felt weak and intimidated!

"Don't tell me, this boy has the power of a monarch?!"

Then before he could even blink, he saw the frightening crimson eyes that were as cold as the coldest winter looking at him, and his black claws that grabbed his neck.

"How did he go up here?" The angel asked in confusion.

He thought he was flying. Did this mean the raven haired boy could fly?

"Hmph," Kara mocked and declared, "Stupid! You're an embarrassment. You're not in the air anymore."

Immediately, as soon as Kara grabbed the neck of the angel, everyone could now see what was going on.

The cloak of dense shadows that had covered around the angel had taken him in an instant to the position of Kara who had not even moved at all!

Before the angel could fathom what just happened, the neck of his host had been broken by the clutches of the raven-haired boy. The claws sunk in the skin, drawing his fresh crimson blood that disappeared too as soon as it was covered by the shadow that was coming out of the boy's hands.

With his powers and identity as a powerful natural mage of the dark exposed, Kara let go of the body of Astrid which the angel had already left. The body of Astrid immediately fell to the ground like a rag.

He sighed in his heart, and blinked, making his crimson eyes lose it luster, returning him to his normal looking appearance.

But that was not the case anymore. With everything done, everyone must be looking at him from a very different perception now.

He pivoted his foot, paused for a second, and looked at them all.

Everyone waited for his response since he looked like he was about to say something important. But he didn't.

But he walked towards them which were all frozen in fear of him, but he only looked at Chris, before opening his mouth.

"I mean no harm. I am indeed a natural mage. You must be wondering who we are, but we are merely wandering mages."

Hearing this, everyone could not really speak anything. They were too afraid to talk to such a fierce and dangerous individual.
