Planning

"Lord Kara, we been waiting for you." Corre said, as he and all members of his party bowed in one knee.

How Kara was perceived and treated had changed considerably great since the battle between him and the angel took place three days ago.

His image as a powerful natural mage capable of destroying holy knights and defeating the rumored powerful holy mages were carved in everyone who witnessed that battle took place.

"No need for this. I don't really want this to happen everytime or last for a long time," Kara raised his hand to those who were bowing and they all rose up.

"If that is what you want, My Lord." Corre said.

Kara then narrowed his eyes on the strategic markers and chess pieces in the large map covering the entire surface of the table. He noticed it was a map of the Town of Salienc, the terrain, and the nearby necessary locations. There were no villages or other towns nearby.

"So what is this?" Kara asked.

Corre went closer to the table with the other adventurers and explained.

"We are thinking about where to build the guild building. We think it could be somewhere high where we could see everything even outside the town." Corre said.

They all marked three possible locations which were the highest elevated areas of the town.

Then they marked other high places, but they were all outside the town.

"Guilds are normally built inside towns, but it is also quite all right to build one outside," Corre said, "But if that is not, we want to build one here."

Corre pointed to the highest elevated area of the town. It was a hill like a little mountain that could see the whole town's scenery even extending its view beyond the premature weak walls of the town.

But there was a problem on that area.

"However, that place is where Lord Kara wanted to build his house," Gary interjected.

There was a little pause as everyone looked at Kara for a response.

He then smiled and nodded.

"It's okay, the guild is going to be built there. I'm planning to accept your invitation to make me guild master, Corre. That area will be the base of this town's future guild "The Limelight"."

Corre and the other adventurers were happy. They wanted someone as strong as Kara to be their guild master. They would not even think of building a guild if not for him. Such power, it was best to ally yourself with someone like that.

But the Guild's name would be The Limelight?

"Pardon me, but are you sure of using our party name as the guild's name, Lord Kara?"

"It is fine. No matter the case, we cannot build one if we don't even have the funds, right?" Kara said.

"The Summer Competition, huh?"

"Yes, indeed, but with Lord Kara on our side, we are not planning to lose any game!"

Kara started to smile.

At this moment, he then opened up something.

"Anyways, I did not come here to just say this. I want you all even you Gary to do something for me." Kara said.

A request, huh?

"…What is it?" Corre asked courteously, glancing at Gary and his other party members cautiously.

This was important. After all, this was going to be the first request of their leader! They must not mess it up.

"I want you all to train two boys to fight, it does not matter how, with swords, archery, and also martial arts," Kara looked at Gary and everyone as he said that, and then smiled, "There are two boys in this town that had been tested to possess the flow of magic, but that is not the only thing they're gonna need. They need other fighting abilities too."

"So it was true, I heard of the other one. Lucian, right? I heard he awakened an aptitude for fire. I'm not sure who is the other one? But does Lord Kara intend to make them participate in the upcoming Summer Competition?"

Kara slowly pondered, and sighed, "That is possible, but during the span of time we are going to be away for the summer competition, I want someone to stay in this town to protect it. Maybe it will be better to take the kids and leave someone behind or the opposite."

Kara of course were going to have his S-Familiars on standby to protect this town when they will leave, but leaving someone or a few behind was also not bad.

"I see." Gary said and grinned.

"We will do our best." Corre said.

"We will do our best!" the other adventurers said.

After all that, Kara and Gary left the building. On their way out, Gary asked something which had been on his mind all this time.

"Lord Kara, can I ask you something?" Gary said.

He had a calm yet serious vibe in both his voice and body language.

Kara slowed down his stride and stopped walking. He then turned his body around.

"What is it?" He asked.

Gary gulped first before asking. Gary had witnessed how powerful Kara was in that fight as well. Never had he saw someone as powerful as that in person, thus he felt both extremely amazed and terrified of Kara when he looks at him.

But without his eyes blinking nor his voice trembling, he asked, "I had observed for a while already, but where did you come from My Lord?"

There was a silent pause as Kara thought of what to say to this.

'Hmmm.' If he said he was from the South Continent, would that be bad? After all, that Continent was war-ridden.

He then thought of what he had always said.

"I don't know. I've been a wandering mage from what most of my memories are. But I guess you could say my last destination was the South Continent." Kara said.

Gary did not seem surprised.

"I see," he just said.

After two seconds of deciding whether to talk or not, Gary then said something again.

"About the Forest of the Darn's sudden transformation to normal, Lord Kara had nothing to do with it then? I always thought you had something to do with it." Gary said.

From his calm expression, Kara started to smile from this.

"Something to do with it? Haha," Kara laughed, and then he stopped as he said, "But maybe I am a little connected to it."

Again, Gary did not seem surprised.

"I see," he just said.

After confirming if Gary still had questions left, Kara left the fighting area and headed out of the building.

At this time, Gary started training his swordsmanship again with the wooden doll.

But then he had only a few thoughts in his mind.

"Kara, he is very mysterious. Working for him is definitely going to be interesting, I can feel it."

Kara went back to his room, and then looking at the gates of the town, he saw the map that had been posted on the wall.

"Flange town, a merchant city."
