Master, What About Me?

I looked at the three but focused on Gardevoir, who gave me a sad look. Something told me that I wasn't going to like what I was about to hear.

"Poké Meats was here early this morning and took all that was being stored. They all are high-level trainers, so there would be no point in taking them on right now. I am sorry, but there will still be new ones transferred, but I wanted to tell you before I showed you the place," Gallia explained, and I nodded my head.

There was no point getting upset over spilled milk, even if the spilled milk was red wine on a white carpet. Nothing was going to undo this, and they would be back for another fresh round.

"How long before they come back?" I asked with a straight face, holding myself in check, keeping my emotions calm.

"They come once every two weeks, so that should be enough time to get the girls back into fighting shape and off the Gloom Juice? Star-, I mean, Sammy and I have helped a couple stray Pokémon get off the stuff, so she will be able to help," Misty said, but Graves cleared his throat, and Misty rounded on him in shock.

"The girls might never fight again, so I don't think it is wise to rely on them in the state that they are in," Graves growled, and Misty put her paw-like hands cutely to her face in shock.

Out of nowhere, Dirty Harry starts to shout, "For once, I actually agree with Duckman! The girls are going to be maids and caregivers, nothing more. They have all had shit lives and don't need to be traumatized anymore, you eggs heads!"

"I really think you should put him in a plastic bag filled with water and then in your pocket. At least he will be muffled," Grave's growled.

"Hey, there, chicken fucker! I just agreed with you, and this is the thanks I get! I will remember this Daffy Fuck!" Dirty Harry shouted, and I slapped my pocket, making it go quiet for about five seconds, and then, "What the fuck was that? What am I, your red-headed stepchild? Bitch I ain't no soulless ginger mother fucker!"

"Shut the fuck up, or I am going to stick you up Grave's ass for the trip and walk beside him the whole time, so you are stuck there," I growled.

Then I rounded on the burly Psyduck that was about to complain.

"You are antagonizing him, thus part of the problem, and will become the solution if you children can't zip it!" I growled, and Grave's stayed quiet.

The room went quiet, and I sucked in a deep breath of air and then continued to pet Ameii and let the breath out. Both things helped me calm myself down, but I needed to get outside and get some fresh air.

"Listen, I wanna go for a bit of a look around the area, but I would like to deal with these four if we can," I said to break the silence, but Gallia shook her head no.

"They are too unstable right now, and none of us can deal with them without having to hurt them. I think that it is best if we just wait until you can get to Viridian. Then I can transfer the Pokémon to the Poké Center there to heal them," Gallia explained, and I nodded thoughtfully.

"Alright, then Misty, do you want to come to be my guide? Grave's, can you watch over the place and maybe look around and see what you can dig up that can help us on our trip to Viridian?" I asked the two of them.

"Sure, I don't mind at all," Misty said as she came over to stand with me, and I looked at Grave's who just nodded to me.

"Good, then Gallia, can you explain some of the things that I should be watching out for as I explore the area? Your telepathic powers are quite strong, right? You should be able to keep in contact with me, right?" I asked Gallia, and she smiled at me and then walked over to me as her eyes started to glow pink.

I felt a prickly sensation as Gallia walked over in my mind and could almost feel her mind touching my own. Leaning in slowly, Gallia pressed her lips to mine, and there was a click in my mind making all the sensations disappear, but that didn't end the kiss; Ameii did.

"Jeez, you two both know I am getting squished right now!" Ameii squeaked, and Gallia pulled away with a smile and blush burning her face.

I put Ameii down, even though she didn't really seem to want to, and then straightened back up. I looked at Gallia, wondering what she had just done to me.

[I linked our minds, and now I can talk to you from anywhere like this.]

Gallia's sweet melodious voice traveled through my mind in a tone that reminded me of a summer evening. It was warm but something that needed to be brighter; no one ever wanted those days to end.

"Alright, then let's get going. There is a lot I want to see before the sun goes down today!" I said with a laugh as I turned to leave but stopped abruptly as I almost tripped over Ameii again.

"Master, what about me? Can I come with you?" Ameii asked me with big round eyes, but I shook my head no.

"Not this time. I don't know what is out there, and you could get hurt, or worse, killed. Let me go with Misty, and I will play with you when we get back later, okay?" I asked the little female Rattata, and for some reason, there was nothing strange about that.

"Hmph! I guess so!" Ameii pouted, but I reached down and ruffled her fur and scratched her ears, making her rub into my hand.

I stood back up and looked at Misty, and she motioned forward. Together, the two of us headed out to explore Pallet Town's surrounding area and tall grass.

What could possibly go wrong?
